Villa Oriana is possibly one of the loveliest hotels I have stayed in! When I opened the large gates and walked up the short drive I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. The orange and lemon trees were in blossom and the perfume was outrageous! My friend and I had a great room - the mini suite - with a fantastic view of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius. Room was large, spotless and with antique furniture. The bathroom was fit for a film star. Breakfast was full of wonderful home made treats. Hospitality was welcoming and warm without being intrusive. Located up the hill between the busy and noisy centre of Sorrento and the station at Sant'Agnello it is very peaceful for a city location. Can't recommend this place highly enough! Bargain too - I have paid twice as much for half as good!

Hotel was perfect to navigate around Amalfi. Breakfast was excellent and staff very friendly. They even provided fresh fruit. Rooms were average size. Expected just a little more from a 4 star hotel. Would stay again though.

We booked this hotel for an overnight stop-off on our way to a wedding on the Amalfi Coast. A short visit to Pompeii was too much to resist. We were so pleased we did. We arrived mid-evening and the staff were so friendly and helpful. They made us feel very welcome and suggested a local restaurant near to the hotel. A short walk but very good value and entertaining. The hotel is great value and clean. The area isn't attractive but the local people we met were all very nice and the added bonus is the ruins are a short drive away.

The stay in the hotel was ok but was surprised to find the staff were smoking in the hotel. The shower was a bit old and dirty and the bar didn't seem to be open. Good location for eating but the staff in the surrounding restaurants need some lessons in manners and smiling ! Make sure you don't want good service when there's a football match on ! All said and done the hotel was what you would expect for the price. We would use it again.

excellent, staff helpful & friendly, rooms spotless,food terrific ,though breakfast a little dull ,the location good for sightseeing away from Sorrento town and it's parking problems,free internet an added bonus,altogether a very enjoyable stay.
