The Churchill Hotel is nice, but the new addition, where our room was, is too modern. We thought it would be more old-fashioned, because it's an old manor house. But the old part is limited to 8 luxury rooms that are probably lovely, but are above our price range.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Rooms a bit small but clean and highly functional. Big bonus is access to excellent gym next door. Can be busy near the holiday season as they have a lot of holiday/office parties, but the noise level from the revellers has not been too bad!

Stayed one night and because the flight was delayed we did not arrive until 11.30 at night. Having phoned in advance, reception had left out a key to our room (very handy for us). The only complaint my husband had was that the bed was a bit short (he's 6'.2) but all considered, we managed. Breakfast great and overall would come back.

The 5 individual, converted stables make this hotel very cosy and private. I can only think of one negative point...the traffic noise gets a bit loud after about 7am. That aside, I would certainly stay again and as for the cooked breakfast-beautiful!!

Hotel is really a local pub with a few bedrooms at the side. The rooms were cold and warmed by a portable heater. Staff very obliging and the breakfast was very satisfying. The place was just about OK for a one night stay.

A little gem, rooms nicely decorated and clean, nice pub too. Will stay hear again. They don't do food on a Sunday night but were happy for us to bring in a takeaway and offered plates etc,Only one comment, our room (No 3) did not have a bedside table on one side which is a problem when you wear glasses.

Had a great experiance staying in the midland hotel, it made a lovely change from staying in the city centre hotels and being a 25 year old single woman, I felt very safe and comfortable. I arrived on a wednesday night which was steak night and had the most amazing steak it all came out nice and hot and enjoyed every mouthful. I went back to my room, […] which was decorated really nicely I felt really relaxed and slept like a log. Breakfast the next day was also really nice. The staff at the hotel were very pleasent and friendly and made me feel welcome. I will definatly be returning to this hotel and would recommend this hotel to anyone. Read more
