      Stayed here for 1 night on our way from Belfast to Fort William. We heard from several people that Ayr is an unusual place to stay and that route is not common, but we were glad we took it. The Beechwood was clean and welcoming, the hosts nice and friendly, and the view from the top floor room was good also. We went to The Sir Wallace pub down the street after asking for a hole-in-the-wall place that the locals go and we weren't dissappointed by the great time we had with friendly people. Great first night in Scotland and would definitely stay again.

      I booked two rooms for three nights. We thoroughy enjoyed our stay and the ownership and staff really went the extra mile to see that we were well looked after. A great get away location in a most beautiful place. The golf course is just out the back door and that was a plus, too.

    Dissappointed with room tempt. Far too hot, unable to open window. Water leaking through light fitting in bathroom ceiling. Wash hand basin in bathroom sink not draining. Staff very helpfull. Quality of food excellent.
