The gracious proprietor of Woodlawn House made us feel right at home during our stay there. She offers guests a map of Killarney which also includes all of her personal favorites. The house is lovely, and our room was so spacious. As an added personal touch, there was an electric radiator to ward off the winter chill, a hot water bottle, and footwarmers on the bed. There were a couple of sitting/reading nooks with music, a cozy sitting room with tv,an outdoor garden sitting area, and a beautiful dining room. We were able to walk from the B&B to everything in Killarney. There were several nice shops, good restaurants, and pubs with fantastic entertainment. We will definitely stay here on our next visit.

This is a great little B&B, very close to the center of town (approx 10 min walk). We arrived late and left early, which was graciously accomodated. Plenty of parking in the back of the Lodge. Room was comfortable. Free wi-fi was a big bonus. Would return.

when returning from our night out the hotel doors was closed and we could not get in, when a porter oped the door,we was then given the wrong key to our room, when returning the key at the reception no one was there,reception was dark and i had to go look for the porter he was locked in the bar, he then told me it was my fault that i gave him wrong […] door number. from now on i will always pick B&B as the welcome and stay so much better this hotel was a big let down for its location, reception area loverly but rooms a dissapiontment. Rang ahead to confirm, girl on phone was absolutely lovely but when i arrived i was kept waiting at reception for over 5minutes while the receptionist was on the phone. We had a 2 night stay in the Abbey Gate. The staff were very friendly during out stay. Would have liked more fuit available for the breakfast. The room that we stayed in was fitted for wheelchair so the bathroom was not at all suitable for a person who was very tall. The hotel was OLD, the Breakfast was served in an awful room & very poor standard BUT the Staff were totally friendly,kind & true Kerry people alot to be said for that but not a great standard of hotel for this day & age & wudnt take alot to improve it
