We don't like to be right in the thick of things - and this was the perfect hotel for it. Located just off of the main strip in Trouville, things were easy to get to and far enough away that we weren't hearing people coming back from the casino at 4AM at night. The two women who run it (sisters?) were so incredibly generous with their time and gave us great recommendations on restaurants and even looked up train times for us upon our departure. If we ever go back to Trouville (from NYC) we will definitely stay here. A gem for sure. We didnt use the breakfast service (there is a boulangerie a block away) so I cant speak to that but the Wifi worked on my husbands cell phone just fine. *disclaimer - we live in NYC. so this hotel didn't feel very small to us as we live in a large studio. We didn't spend much time in it either so didn't have a problem with the size. in a town like this, you aren't going to want to be inside much anyway. Also, we obviously speak English and the women spoke some, too. Made it very easy to communicate.

We stayed in the second smallest room (the Roucoule), on above the inn's fantastic restaurant. It has slanted ceilings reinforced by old timbers, since it is an attic room, but had a big, comfortable bed, full bath that was newly refurbished, and a table chair/window overlooking the main courtyard, where you can play chess with oversized pieces. The restaurant's goats and cows can be heard from your room with your window open (not overwhelming, but nice), and the restaurant is the best we've been to in Normandy. The breakfast spread is substantial and is included in the "half-board" along with the medium level of the hotel dinner menu, which was quite extensive. Fantastic choice, and less than 10 minutes from the Normandy beaches. Plenty of free parking, and you can wander around the grounds to get a view of the surrounding countryside.

We loved the hotel. We made sure that they had a restaurant for our 12/23-12/25 stay because of the Christmas holiday, which is does. We were told that they close the hotel for the first 2 weeks in January - fine. Why did they close the restaurant on December 22? There was only one place in the town to eat on Christmas Eve - a hotel with only a very expensive 'prix fixe' meal available. This was a disappointment to us.

great food ! nice people ! good room what more could you want "well at least two lobsters" come to think of it ! will sort that next year, see you again same time.

"Bon hotel mais acceuil lamentable"
L'hotel en lui meme est agréable rapport qualité prix ont y est les chambres sont confortable et propre, mais l'acceuil n'est vraiment pas leurs point fort limite dès l'arrivée ta envie de repartir. Ne surtout pas demander d'info, entre autre sur les portes si vous rentrer tard sinon vous vous faites traiter non plus comme un client mais comme une personne […] "handicapé". Quand au petit déjeuner si vous aimez vous réveiller en déjeunant avec un personnel d'hotel qui engueule et traite un client devant tous le monde, vous êtes au bon endroit et en prime pas de jus d'orange ni autre jus mais un éspèce de nectar pétillant qui ressemble a de l'orangina sans sucre acide et vraiment a l'eau. Voila se qu'ont peut dire en faite si vous venez à cette hotel se qu'ont refera surment tous de meme il faut savoir s'est quelque choses et s'adresser un minimum au personnel. accueil pas du tout agréable, le soir 1 personne pas aimable du tout et au petit déjeuner une autre dame infecte. Je prends du lait chaud mais le chocolat ne se diluant pas je lui demande de me le chauffer et me dis que les autres personnes ont rien réclamé, il n'y aurai que moi, du jus d'orange ou plutôt de l'eau avec une couleur orangée. un autre […] client arrive au petit déjeuner et il n'y a plus de viennoiserie alors la même personne lui dis que il y a eu des goinfres et qu'elle en a plus. "impossible d'entrer !"
Pour entrer il fallait un code à 4 chiffres qui n'était pas sur les documents de réservation que nous avions imprimé sur Internet.
