Shin Osaka Washington Hotel Plaza - Osaka

The room given to us at first day was too noisy due traffics: my wife could not sleep. They changed it for next day which was quiet. Be ware some rooms are noisy. The hotel was very close to stations and thus to Kyoto and Osaka.

Only a warm Air conditioner provided, also, there are only one window in the room which can't be open to a wide angle. In Spring, the weather become warm. we can't sleep all night due to the warm temperature. The pros is that the location is very good when to decided to visit Osaka, Kyoto and Kobe.

We chose Osaka as a base for catching the sakura season. We chose this hotel as it was only a short walk from Shin-Osaka station. Everyday we left early in the morning to take the shinkansen to visit Kyoto and other places and would return only around 8 p.m. We didn't sleep well during our first night and complained that the room was very warm. We requested […] and got a transfer to another room for the rest of our stay. It turned out that when we increased the aircon to full in our room, we were actually switching on the heater instead of the aircon. I stayed here with my family with kids. The room was clean and well maintained. Even though small, it was very comfortable. The internet in the room was good. The cafe in the lobby served a nice filling breakfast. There is a sandwich shop, convenience store available just accross the road. There is a nice Indian restaurant called Chandan just about […] 6-7 mins away from the Hotel..........nice hot Indian food at OK prices. The best thing about this hotel is its proximity to the Shin Osaka station.Whether it is to Airport or taking Shinkansen or going to Kyoto/Nara etc, the station is so close and convenient to reach. The Hotel is only a few minutes walk from Shin-osaka station. Very well maintained rooms, especially bathroom, and good customer service. Internet was provided (LAN cable in the room and wifi in the reception area). Breakfast was not included but there are plenty of options for non-veg at the railway station. The hotel is truly 2 min from the shinkanzen station, so very convenient if you have luggage and dont want to use taxi/metro to move between hotel and station, or like us, we were using daily the shinkanzen to travel to different cities in Japan. Unusually enough the room was very spacious compared to other accomodation we had in Japan; it was about […] 20 sqm, so you could truly walk around the room and we had space to store the luggage inside the room as well; not sure if we got some kind of "suite" or this hotel provides indeed larger rooms than most other in Japan. The room was facing directly on the railway, so you hear every train passing and every annoucement; it diodnt bother us really at the end. Room was very clean and well maintained, no complain at all. Avoid however the hotel provided "buffet" breakfast, the 13.000Y charge is not worth it expecially if you prefer western type of food for breakfast. You can get better and cheaper at the station. You can find cheaper solution in Osaka, however if you favor the proximity to the station and a larger room, it is indeed worth the buck. Read more

Internet wifi cannot be used at lobby. Bad Bad Bad Bad Bad. The reception officer does not take care of what customer complain about the wifi. The rest room at ground floor is not clean.

Vi valgte primært hotellet pga nærheden til ShinOsaka stationen. Det var svært at få hotel i Kyoto, men da vi havde JR pass kunne vi hurtigt komme fra Osaka til Kyoto med Shinkansen (14 minutter). Værelset var pænt og rent med velfungerende og rimelig størrelse badeværelse, som iøvrigt virkede perfekt (regulering af vandtemperatur, tryk etc). Vi boede […] på 22 etage med flot udsigt. Selve værelset er dog ret lille, så med 2 kufferter og småt med fralægningsplads, må man sno sig lidt. Venligt personale, men engelskkundskaber ikke så gode. Hotellet ligger et stykke fra Osaka centrum, dog kun 1 stop med en lokal JR-linie, som vi også kunne bruge med JR pass. Rimelig pris. Read more

Actually I had a meeting in Kyoto not in Osaka, but in the weekend I stayed I could not have found any hotel rooms in Kyoto. Rather I tried to book in Osaka, and I was able to reserve this room for me. This hotel is easy to find from Shin-Osaka JR station. And I realized it is convenient to use JR lines toward Okayama (West) and toward Kyoto (or Nagoay, […] East). It took only 5 minutes by walk to the JR station from this hotel. My schedule was perfect for the meeting. And I enjoyed just one-day trip to Okatama. On my way to Kansai airport, I took Haruka, an express to airport, which was also convenient. 京都までのつなぎに宿泊しましたが、新幹線駅に近く、便利でした。フロントの方の対応も親切で、パジャマも浴衣タイプでなく、前ボタン式のもので助かりました。ホテルの方が紹介して下さった隣のお寿司屋さん『こがん寿司』の美味しさにも大満足でした。

服務還錯不錯, 本次訂了禁煙室, 但仍由冷氣孔飄入煙味, 老婆孩子無法忍受. 聯絡客戶人員後得到協助換房, 煙味問題隨即得到改善, 但也顯出客房空調互通煙味亂飄的問題.

就在新大阪车站对面，走路5分钟！网上可以听到火车的声音，喜好安静的人会接受不了。好处是上网免费，去关西机场很方便。被子的外套不是很干净！我想那个不是每次都清洗的！
