The Gold Coast simply needs to update in the fashion in which it was conceived. It seems a matter of which comes first, the chicken or the egg? In this case it is to update first or experience a surge of guests and cash flow first. The service was better than the physical condition of the hotel.
Location.
Situated in Waterford, The Anchorage Guest House is on the waterfront and close to Waterford Treasures Museum, House of Waterford Crystal, and Garter Lane Arts Centre. Also nearby are St. Patrick's Church and Reginald's Tower.

"cheap and convenient- but that's all"
The room was spacious and reasonably priced, but that is where the benefits end. The room was in need of a deep cleaning and the place in general looked more like a halfway house than a hotel. We had the room facing the street- and the all-night street noise did not lend itself to a restful night. I would not recommend- sorry.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"A lovely experience"
The service was excellent. My friend and I stayed for 2 nights whilst on a trip for our 21st birthdays. This guest house made the trip for us. As soon as we arrived there was a pleasent welcome for us. The staff were fantastic and helpful in helping us decide activities in waterford!! "Good place"
We had a bad first impression of the place, since we ran into this insane guy on drugs, but when he got out of the way it was really good. The beds look like Batman, so it can't get any better than that. The place is old and needs some fixing up, but it's clean enough and if you're able to close the window (we weren't) it's not too cold. The guy that […] runs the place was really great and helped us with everything we asked for (We didn't ask about the window until checkout, we're the stupid ones;).
