Had stayed here 16 years ago, rooms so improved since then. Lived in Bovey 30 years ago, and this would be my first choice now on returning visits. Only down side fire in bar very smoky, but may be there was a chimney down draught, as we were there on one of wettest weekends of year. In rooms a better shower. it was ok but my partner said it would be far better if detachable, I thought also a little more power. But loved the rustic charm of place and otherwise excellent staff, excellent value, excellent food /beer, excellent location. This is not your modern Hilton or premier inn but old charming, clean, huge rooms bathrooms.

Friendly service, very clean room and good food. When I arrived it was horrible weather and I was very surprised to find they had switched on an electric blanket in my bed for me! Excellent place to stay.

The hotel helped to make my conference so much more enjoyable. Very good amenities. Wonderful location. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. And a hotel that provides free internet access. Very good value. Highly recommended.

the hotel is in need of a good in depth renovation.the reception and bar area are not to bad but the bedrooms are not very welcoming the beds need replacing and not very comfortable.the bathrooms need a compleat refurb.the dining room is not to bad breakfast was very nice and the staff very pleasant nothing was to much trouble
"Caverndish Hotel Torquay"
The Hotel was very close to the beach and shops were walking distance. The staff were very helpful and always kind. And the service the staff offered was above average, and the food was good value especially the breakfast . The hotel had two pools and a games room for children so if it had rained we would have been able still to have a good time. The […] hotel provided free parking which in Devon is a must. Our room looked out towards the sea and the view was good. There were lots of places to visit close by and the shops on the high street provided all you needed if you liked shopping and there were plenty of gift shops. This is the first time I have stayed in a Hotel and it was a good experience. Read more

"cavendish Hotel torquay"
I thought that the hotel was in a nice location,and was ideal for what we needed.I thought that the staff were very friendly.I would go there again,it was good for the money and in a nice location not far from the must see sights.
