The hotel was easy to find, David checked us in and helped us with our luggage. We had a beautiful room (suite) and gorgeous view of the Atlantic out of our windows. The room was very nicely appointed and very comfortable. David helped us in so many ways, getting us reservations at the Seaweed Baths and even taking and picking us up there, restaurant […] recomendations and very good map directions for places we wanted to visit. The hotel has thought of all amenities to make one feel at home. The walk down the hill into the gorgeous seaside town of Strandhill is breathtaking. Great location and view of the sea. You can walk down the hill to shops and restaurants or just go nextdoor to a great pub/restaurant. The hotel is very clean and only a year old. The staff is wonderful, friendly and helpful. They have a great morning breakfast buffet that we really enjoyed. The view of the rolling green hills, horses, beach and sea […] is breathtaking. Excellent hotel nestled in the beautiful seaside village of Strandhill. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms are very spacious & the view from the balcony was breathtaking. We were provided with various leaflets and menus for local restaurants and various attractions when checking in. Staff were all very friendly & as we have been […] to the area before & have already visited some of the local attractions we were given plenty of suggestions to allow us to try something different. Safe, fridge, iron/ironing board, toiletries etc with complimentary bottled water, WiFi access in room and DVDs available from reception. There was always a wonderful aromatherapy scent in the room making it even more relaxing. The continental style breakfast was substantial with lots of variety and we had a lovely meal at the Venue Bar next door. Great welcome from manager who arranged an evening meal for us. The room was spacious and well presented with a large shower. breakfast was self service but there was a huge selection of meats, cheeses cereals and breads.a most comfortable hotel which we will visit again when in the area.

Very comfortable stay. Man on Reception on arrival could not have been more helpful. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only negative is a small breakfast room so sitting very close to other diners which I personally dont like.

This lodge/suites is perhaps the nicest accomodation I have stayed in, in recent years............I would highly recommend this hotel based on the service level alone. It is the best example of what I believe is real Irish hospitality, the manager on duty could not be more helpful.....The cleanliness of the accomodation was second to none; the crisp […] white sheets and super comfortable bed made for a great nights sleep. The rooms are sound proof which for a new buidling is exceptional. The view was great from our ground floor room.......What more can I say - you must visit this location if you are staying in the West. Rooms were as described/shown on website. In my experience this is never the case or rooms are exaggerated on website. This was as as in pictures , which I was very pleased about. Staff very friendly and helpful with any queries. Hotel was the cleanest I have ever seen! Rooms very quiet. Rooms are to an exceptional standard-clean, well maintained and very spacious. Door leads to the courtyard with sea views which are amazing. My wife and I arrived on Saturday afternoon last hoping for a restful break. The Strandhill Lodge and suites certainly came up to all expectations. On arrival we met David who promptly upgraded us to a suite, it was perfect, all the comforts of home. He kindly gave us a menu for the Tra ban which we had booked for dinner that night and showed us to […] the Knocknarea Suite. We had a great nights sleep, even allowing for the fire alarm activated by I think someone in the main kitchen, which is directly under the Knocknarea suite. It didn't matter as we had planned to get up early and have a walk on the beach anyway. Breakfast was self service and had every healthy option you could ask for. I was glad to miss the full Irish for once, certainly after the fantastic food the night before in the Tra ban. All in all this is a lovely, friendly place to stay and full marks to David for his dedication and professionalism and his great customer relations. We were here over the August bank holiday weekend and our stay couldn't have been more pleasant. It's in a convenient location for touring Sligo - it's obviously close to the beaches of Strandhill and Cullenamore, but Sligo itself is just a short drive up the Strandhill road, with access to all the major attractions a short drive on from there. We were […] up for a family reunion, so we weren't planning to do much touring. The breakfast is continental-style, but very good. A couple of small changes I'd like to see would be the addition of some hard-boiled eggs, and it would be nice if the breakfast room was a little larger, although we never had any issues finding a table. The room we stayed in was excellent, with a superb bathroom and very large, comfortable bed. Everything was spotlessly clean and well presented. We had a view of nearby Knocknarea (which we climbed on the last day), and presumably other rooms would have had a view of the sea. There was ample parking, despite being at the height of the season. The hotel is right next door to The Venue, a superb bar and restaurant, serving quality food and live music (a grand night out all round). There are other fine restaurants and pubs just a stone's throw away, of course. The staff are friendly, courteous and professional, so we felt well taken care of, but not fussed over (which is exactly how we like it). It seems that the hotel suits all types: anyone looking for a quiet weekend, young families, business trips (there's a conference room), or a young couple such as ourselves. Don't forget to try a seaweed bath at Voya (just down the road by the beach) - ask for a discount, we got one since we were staying at the hotel. It's worth it. We look forward to returning here in the near future and will probably bring family and friends here next time. Read more
