Well managed hotel - very friendly and accommodating staff. Food choice was somewhat limited, but adequately compensated by a variety of options in the city which is about a couple of miles away.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Rooms a bit small but clean and highly functional. Big bonus is access to excellent gym next door. Can be busy near the holiday season as they have a lot of holiday/office parties, but the noise level from the revellers has not been too bad!

I was quite satisfied with the quality, service and standard of the hotel. My only comment is that I think that the hotel should offer free internet connection in the room to single women travelling alone. Making such visitors either pay 15 pounds per day (exhorbitant) or go down to the hotel lobby (not safe walking corridors at night) is a very out of date way to run a hotel.

Travelling down to the West Country from Bridlington, this was an ideal point to break our journey. We would have preferred to be in a room in the main house; the room we had at the back of the house, though spacious and warm lacked flair. The hotel was difficult to find - poorly signposted. I was staying in the coach house, a lovely building in the grounds - I had to walk alone to the restuarant in the dark as room service was not provided in the coach house due to H & S reasons. My room was beautiful yet on the ground floor at the end of the corridor, with a fire door on to the car […] park. I arrived late, parlty due to bad signage and did not have the energy to complain. Dinner in the bar was good, Hotel staff friendly and welcoming apart from the receptionist on my arrival, think she was ready for going home and did not want to be there. Read more

I booked a simple single room that was comfortable. Good (small) leisure facilities and nice to unwind after a drive with a sauna, jaccuzzi and swim. Didn't use the bar or eat at the hotel as ate on the way.
