AC unit was making too much noise. One of the phone was not working. I asked for a room with king size bed and bath with tub at reception and while purchasing online. Is only a few blocks from the RiverWalk, very nice room, plenty of room for me, the wife, and two children. Nice to be able to walk around downtown, and walk back to the room. Was only there for the weekend, but did not take the truck out of parking the whole weekend. was close to everything we wanted to see this trip. Location of the hotel is within walking distance of most tourist attractions such as Riverwalk, Alamo, etc. The hotel does not have a restaurant or bar/lounge; however, there are plenty of options on the Riverwalk. Room was clean and comfortable and spacious for a two-person stay.

This hotel is easy walking distance to the Riverwalk. The room was huge with two queen beds, a sofa bed, almost full kitchen (refridgerator, microwave, dishwasher, toaster and available skillet for cooking), and nice bathroom. More than enough room for 4 adults. Good breakfast included in price and free internet. Small pool and exercise area.

The staff was so friendly, helpful, overly accomodating and fun! I highly recommend this hotel. Pool (& fitness room) open 24 hours with your key. I was unable to take advantage of this because I didn't take my suit, but I will next time!

This hotel had large nice suites. It is great for a family, plenty of room. Kitchen was fully stocked. It was about 3 blocks to the Riverwalk and 3 to the Alamo. Pretty good location.

It was quite possibly the best hotel I've ever stayed the night at. The hotel is very nice and has a high standard apartment feel. I will be having my bachelor party since the room is suitable corn5 with the pull out coach!

Located walking distance to almost everything. Rooms big enough and comfortable enough for our family of 6. Everyone was friendly and everything was clean. Only complaint was the time it took to get the car from the valet and the extra charge to use the hotel parking. We had a great time and would stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay here, friendly staff. We liked the room with the frig, toaster, microwave and coffee maker - plenty of space. The wi/fi worked real good and they even had 2 computers in the lobby which you could use. They had continental breakfast from 6 to 9am. Location was 1.5 blocks from the Riverwalk, that was nice. We had a great stay at Home2 recently. The hotel is not on the river walk, but close to everything. It's about 5 minutes walking distance from the Alamo and the mall. The staff, including valet, were all pleasant and helpful. As other reviewers mentioned, they only have onsite valet parking. However, the valet told us that if we wanted to save money, […] the garage right across was half the price (FYI, it's a cash only garage). At check-in, we asked for a room with a view and the lady behind the counter gave us a large corner room from where we could enjoy views of downtown San Antonio. Our double queen room was much larger than picture. It had full sized appliances (microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator), a pull out sleeper sofa and nice modern touches. I found the beds to be comfortable, though a little on the firmer side (which is not necessarily a bad thing). The included breakfast was pretty good. Also, they had an indoor heated saltwater swimming pool, which the kids really enjoyed. I feel the 2.5 star rating is incorrect, since comfort wise, this Home2 was at the same level as a Marriott. Hotel room is newly furnished and very spacious. Bathroom is very spacious which was nice. We booked a suite since there are 5 in my family. For whatever reason, the rates were fantastic the 4 nights we booked over Thankgiving. Hotel is one block from the Riverwalk which was great. Nicest hotel we've stayed at EVER for the price. When we step in to the room it was clean but we did find a cup in the refrigerater, and some dishes in the dishwasher, but other than that the room was clean and the view was nice. The Home 2 Suites provided a nice room/suite close to the River Walk. The breakfast every morning was good - hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, breakfast sandwiches, juice, coffee - all good. But we apparently slept in, because by the time I got into the shower at 7am, there was no hot water! Nothing spoils a stay in a hotel more than having to take cold showers […] all 5 mornings! Also, the staff wasn't very courteous. There was one gentleman who was nice and very helpful, but besides him, the women who answered the phone seemed to be bothered by my simple request to get my car...Maybe better plumbing and customer service training might make my next stay better! The staff is possibly the best I've ever come across in a hotel. The decor was modern and colorful. The location was ideal, within a 5 minute walk to the Riverwalk and other attractions. The valet price was a little bit high and I chose to park at one of two parking garages across the street, at less than half the price. However, major kudos the valet […] who informed me about those garages and for removing my car keys after accidentally left them in my car while unloading and checking in. My only disappointment was there were obvious but fixable signs of wear on the appliances and the AC was loud and drowned the tv when it would come on. The hotel is really close to the key tourist locations. I strongly suggest you buy the 24 hour ticket for the trolleys and local bus transportation system. It's like $4 per person and there is a stop right in front of the hotel. Home2Suites was way cheaper than the other options in the area. The hotel is not right on the river but it is about 5 min […] away from all the restaurants. As the others reviewers described there is a parking fee, this is kind of standard with all the hotels around the area. The room was clean and very comfortable, having a kitchen was great. The AC is a little loud and the view from the hotel room was not impressive at all. There is continental breakfast everyday, nothing special but it is enough for a quick meal in the morning.
