Historic Beaver Dam Lodge / Golf / RV Resort - Littlefield

We stayed at the hotel initally because Mesquite, NV hotels were booked or overpriced for the weekend. The hotel is very charming in a quiet little town 9 miles North of Mesquite. We had a first floor room, very comfortable King bed, very clean, reciently remodeled. Hotel staff were friendly. Small opperation, they are only open 9am to 9pm, so if you […] are coming in late make it a point to call. Very little in the way of food in Littlefield. The hotel does have a resteraunt, but it is typical Golf-style. No breakfast till 9am. We had their fresh pizza, pretty good. Again, Mesquite and its numerious buffets are 10 minutes away. Hotel was comfortable but service was slow due to insufficient staff. It's in a unique desert location that was quite charming, but compared with facililities in nearby Mesquite and St George it's overpriced.

We arrived at the location a little after 8pm. It is right off the highway and signs direct you towards it, but the whole area is VERY dark. First, we pulled into the area for RV's. We looked for a main office, but there was none - so I called the number on our reservation, and got an answering machine! I pulled out of the RV area and went a little […] further down the road, where a poorly lit sign said "Beaver Dam Hotel." Again, we had to drive around quite a bit to find the hotel entrance, which turned out to be around the far left side and down a ramp. NO ONE WAS IN THE OFFICE. A sign taped to the door said "for late check in call ---" LATE? at 8:30pm??? The reservation never mentioned any limited desk hours! Someone finally answered the "late check in" number and said "come around to the pro shop, I will have my son let you in, he doesn't have a key to the hotel." When I asked how we got to the pro shop, and where do we park, as we had suitcases to bring in, and how would we get IN to the hotel if her son didn't have a key to let us in? she seemed irritated and said "fine, wait there." The area was VERY dark, it was cold, and the wait was a good 10 minutes. The young man arrived, he was very courteous but stated right away he doesn't work for the hotel and didn't know much. He gave us our room key and thought it might be on the second floor but he wasn't sure. He left us to find the room on our own, locking the hotel doors on his way out. He did know the password for the internet but apparently the router failed as I was unable to sign in. The room itself was super clean, tastefully decorated and had some allusion to the "historic" aspect - although I would have liked to have learned more, there was no one to ask! The air conditioner worked well, towels and linens were clean, beds were comfortable. I tried to look out the window to see what kind of view we had, but it was literally too dark to see anything. my wife and i went here for our honeymoon. the bed was comfortable. the room was nice. very quiet and private. we got everything we needed. id give it 5 stars but i would have liked a free breakfast or a fridge or something. but i guess it wasn't that sort of room.

This hotel was a joke. The same person worked in the pro shop, as the bartender, waiter, and cook. We ate the continental breakfast of cereal and oatmeal with forks. They ran out of orange juice and the bananas they served us were black and mushy. The Saturday night dinner special was disgusting even though they raved about it. They also told us the […] pizza was better than domino's, but it tasted like something I have made myself. The owner, Lori, was nice and seemed to try to go out of her way for us, but her brother, who did ALL of the other things told us he hadn't had a day off in 14 days and was planning on having Sunday off so drank all night and came to work hung over the next day. The rooms were all right. I had to pull out the nightstand to plug in something and found an old cookie and used kleenex back there. The phones in the rooms weren't connected to anyone so we had to use our cell phones to get a hold of anyone that worked there. The par 3 golf course was over priced and not well maintained. positives-beautiful manor like scenery with a par-3 golf course 18 hole and front entrance rooms were themed we had rhett from (gone with the wind) great crown molding and bathroom negatives- pool was emptied for winter still no 24 hour front desk service no dropbox for early checkout if you want a quiet and relaxing place stay there

Enjoyed the hotel, and location, hated the lobby security. A voucher should be presented for "free" breakfast upon check in. I thought the breakfast was included but was not sure, was asked if we were guests when we ordered, but were then were presented with a rather pricey bill. Our honeymon at Beaver Dam Lodge was awesome, this place is quiet, clean, has great food and the golf coarse is in great shape for this time of year. The resort is only 8 miles from Misquite, Nevada and 20 minutes from Saint George, Utah. My wife and I were treat like kings and queens and I would highly recomend this resort. *****

The hotel is older but clean. However, there was no refrigerator or microwave in the room. We happened to stay New Year's Eve and the party went on and on until 4:30 a.m. We got no sleep and there was not even a number you could call to complain because all the phones were disconnected. I would not recommend this hotel.

Se non siete dei giocatori di golf, non fermatevi qui. L'Hotel è sperduto in un piccolo paesino di 4 case, dove c'è solo un bar. In Settembre ha anche il ristorante interno chiuso, per cui bisogna andare a Mesquite (9 miles) per mangiare. La camera è modesta con un condizionatore rumorosissimo e la pulizia è appena sufficiente.
