Staff was very helpful. .room was clean. Bathroom entered by passing through outside balcony. Bathroom had no air con, but that was not a big problem. Location is great, 2 minutes to the Palace and Museum. Nice pool. Good breakfast.

Stayed here for just one night with my girlfriend (took a bus from Siem Reap). Location was great, about a 10-15 min walk to the Silver Pagoda and Royal Palace. Plenty of markets nearby as well to try local street food and buy souvenirs. No elevators at the hotel but staff can help you bring your luggage to/from your room. No slippers in room which […] I like to use. Mosquito net around the bed was a plus. Plenty of tuk-tuk drivers waiting outside to assist you, we took one to get to the airport (about a 45 min ride). This hotel is a MUST if you stay in Phnom Penh!! Our 1 day stay was meant to break our travel from Siem Reap to Ho Chi Minh. However, we arrived the day before the King's memorial procession when 5 million people were expected to attend a parade through the streets before being cremated. The Blue Lime's fantastic location was also in the area that was […] shutdown for the big event. Our hotel staff were quick to help us find a bus for the next day to get us out of the city and make it to Vietnam and fly home. It took 3 attempts to secure bus tickets at 5:30am. Due to the early departure and the unlikely ability to find a driver to the bus station, the hotel also had a tuk tuk stay overnight in front of the hotel so that we could get out of the closed area before the ceremony began. They offered to pack a breakfast, but we opted to let reception sleep rather than to disturb him when leaving. Without the phenomenal and very patient support of hotel staff during this unusual and sad Cambodian ceremony, we would have had to alter our plans. The hotel is a retreat from the city--tucked away from busy streets and down an short alley. It is not marked on the main road so we had to ask several times before we found the correct address. During our short stay, the hotel also arranged a sunset cruise to the Mekong River. My only regret of the entire trip is that I did not book an extra day at Blue Lime. Read more

Nice hotel. All the furnishing are concrete but very welcoming. Very clean. Lovely pool. No elevator and we were on the 6th floor so it was a big climb to go for a swim. Staff were great about carrying luggage to the room.

Don't stay here if you are planning not to sleep there is extremely loud construction pretty much on the hotel, they gave us a room on the construction and we couldn't even open out window because there were people right there (I've attached a photo). However when we asked to move they did so the morning after we complained which I guess is ok except […] we didn't sleep at any of the days, very very noisy. It's a nice hotel except that you have to carry your luggage up 6 flights of stairs as their is no elevator. The rooms are big enough but if you want to sleep I wouldn't recommended staying here. Stayed in the blue lime for 3 nights. Up a side road but once inside the gates it's like a different world. We stayed in a pool room which was wonderful. Pool in hotel nice too and whilst building work going on next door have use of their sister hotel round the corner. Well located just round the corner from palace and museum. The biggest problem was the construction next door. It made a day by the pool an impossibility and this was a big selling point for me and the main reason I booked there. The noise started early in the morning and woke you up. When I did attempt an hour by the pool (with IPod blaring) the construction workers would stare at you in your bathers and at […] one point dropped a burning cigarette butt onto the deckchair my friend had just vacated. I realise that the hotel can not control these things but there should be a warning on expedia or some kind of recompense for the inconvenience. The staff (while lovely) only acknowledged the problem with an apology upon checkout. Apparently there was a reciprocal deal whereby guests could use the pool of another hotel but it took another patron to tell us this- the staff never mentioned it. Read more

Shome there were not the normal bathroom things bar the soap ( no body was, shampoo, shower caps etc) Given flowers on arrival as well as a drink - lovely touch. Truly an oasis in the midst of Phnom Penh. Yes, the bathroom could be rid of the bits of mould but I've seen far worse in more developed countries. Best breakfasts served by the pool. Despite its location down an alley way off a busy street, we were not bothered by noise. A lovely surprise on going through the tall wall from the alleyway! A small garden of greenery welcomes you into the colourful reception area. Through here is the totally enclosed garden and swimming pool. Tall trees and palms waft around the outside eating area, sun cabanas and sun beds. Very welcoming staff, clean spacious rooms with a kettle etc […] and lovely lovely breakfast, fresh fruits, chestnut bread and croissants, fresh juice, eggs. Definitely recommend this hotel. The hotel is down a small alley, but that means it is off the fairly busy street, therefore no traffic noise. A high wall greets you from the alley and having stepped thru the door what a wonderful surprise. We stayed at the Blue Lime for 2 nights in March 2012, in a room with a private pool. It was wonderful and our pool was larger than expected with a lovely garden border at the end of ferns and palms. The main pool area (also where you have breakfast) is beautiful, with more foliage as well as cabanas for couples to relax in. We picked this hotel as […] the pool looked a good size for lengths swimming as opposed to just wallowing or casual swimming and it didn't disappoint. The airconditioning in our room on our first day didn't work - we didn't realise until about 9.30pm but the hotel responded immediately and even had people from the aircon company onsite within the hour to fix it. The bed was a bit on the hard side but OK for a 2 night stay. The hotel is reached down a little alley and, strangely enough, there doesn't even seem to be a sign to it. However, it is only a couple of doors away from the Alley Cat Cafe (which is signed at the entrance to the alley). Again, another strange thing is the apparent lack of an entrance to the hotel - you feel like you're slipping in the tradesman's entrance but within a few paces, you are in the airy reception. It's about 10 minutes walk from the Riverfront where the bars and restaurants are, and only about 5 mins to the National Museum and Royal Palace. If we are ever in Phnom Penh again, the only reason we might not book this hotel is just to experience another. It's got a lot going for it - cosy, well-located, good price and helpful staff, and of course the private pool is a real indulgence that you won't necessarily find in many other hotels. Read more

Great location, walking distance to the riverfront. Breakfast service wasn't very good and the breakfast food was quite poor quality, we chose to pay for breakfast elsewhere on our last morning. The rooms are basic and clean, just very noisy but you are right in the heart of Phomn Penh so i guess that comes with the territory. We stayed on the top floor […] one night and were woken up by birds or rats on the roof very early in the morning, so the next day we got switched to the floor below which was overlooking the laneway. It was even more noisy, you could hear the tuk-tuk drivers laughing and talking and lots of dogs barking! So the pool view rooms seem to be the quiter rooms. Upon arrival near the hotel our bags were collected by two smiling young men who welcomed us and escorted us into the hotel. We were shown to a table and served cold drinks whilst we registered and then led up to our room and shown around.... as lovely and friendly a welcome as anyone could wish for. The room was large, very clean and beautifully furnished […] - the concrete beds surprisingly comfortable, a separate bathroom across the balcony was well equipped. There is a lovely pool set in an enclosed garden courtyard which have shady sun-loungers a perfect retreat from the hectic streets of the city. The hotel is in a small quiet cul-de-sac which is behind the Palace, this makes it central for all the main attractions. The Blue Lime is a lovely hotel made perfect by charming, friendly and very helpful staff. I recommend this hotel very highly. Read more
