The hotel is very modern and clean. Service is professional and courteous. Our room was adequate, though not as nice as pictured on website. We were very comfortable. There was only one roll of toilet paper in the room, and two lightbulbs were burned out, but a call to the front desk had those remedied in less than 10 minutes. It seems the hotel has been renovated recently and it is clean and well maintained. Breakfast service is poor and expensive if not included in your reservation. Staff are dependable and polite, what is certainly a plus. I did not like the surroundings, however. Nevertheless it is close to public transportation.

I visit Budapest a lot and this was my first time at the Boscolo Luxury Residence. It was perfect and in September I plan to stay a week. Elegant Villeroy & Boch bathroom, mini well equipped kitchen with dishwasher & small balcony. Super English speaking staff. A definite 5!

Boscolo Luxury Residences was a fantastic, quality hotel albeit a little bit off the main tourist area of Budapest. The rooms were incredibly spacious, full facilities including fridge, microwave, cheap laundry services, free wifi etc. The staff were very friendly and helpful and while it's a fairly long walk from the main tourist areas, it's also camped […] virtually on top of a Metro stop which is very easy to use. Nice apartment building but not in the best location of Pest. Did not like the area around Rakoczi Street which the hotel is located just off of. 10-15 min walk from Keleti train station. But don't mistake it for the 5-star Boscolo Hotel, the famously opulent 19th-century hotel adjacent to it--that's genuine luxury. The sleek modern decor means the rooms aren't as "cozy" as some might like, but we loved the look and found the appearance and quality to be excellent. Our major complaints would be about the upkeep of some of the systems. The climate control thermostat in our room simply didn't work; we could get the fan to turn on, but were unable to control the temperature, either up or down. It wasn't much of an issue, as the weather was mild when we were there, but in other seasons it could have been a major problem. Also, the towel-warming rack in the bathroom didn't work. Again, nothing tragic, just a bit inconvenient. On the plus side, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful at all times, and the free wi-fi and use of the computers/printers in the business center was very convenient. I must admit when I booked this hotel I had little faith in most of Europe's depictions of thier hotel rooms. My family and I have found most nice but somewhat uncomfortable and not so spacious. The Boscolo chain of hotels gets my vote as long as they keep up the quality of its hotels. My wife, my son and I spent a glorious 4 days in our 1 bedroom suite. My son slept on the convertible couch with no issues. My wife and I had our own bedroom with a big enough bed to sleep a 6 foot 2, 230 lb gorilla like myself without my feet hangin off the bed. The bathroom was big enough for me to enjoy the full size tub without fear of the hair dryer falling into the tub because of the restricitve space that some hotel bathrooms have in europe. Didn't use the kitchen much because of the great suggestions of restaurants nearby, but all in all a nice addition to the room. This is in my eyes what a 5 star hotel should represent. The building is very new, clean and spacious as are the apartments themselves. We were perhaps lucky in that we were given a duplex apartment on the top floors which was particularly bright. The apartment was serviced daily. This was just as well as there was no washing machine or dishwasher in our apartment. Had this been a problem for us however I'm […] sure we could have changed apartments as the staff proved very friendly and willing to help. We liked the fact that the area is not too 'touristy' and has a more authentic atmosphere. There is a supermarket and a metro station just around the corner. There is a very efficient metro service (every 3 minutes) so don't worry about not being in the centre of the city - you can get there in about 10 minutes! The suites were well presented and well maintained. The only frustration that we experienced was the lack of info on the hotel's facilities in the rooms (none). When we booked the hotel, the web-page had said that it had access to a pool, sopa and fitness suite. In fact these were in the nearby 'New York Palace' hotel. The fitness suite was a few dumbells, […] 3 cardio machines and 3 weight machines in the fifth floor lift lobby. We didn't use the spa & pool as we were enjoying trying the thermal baths around the city. There is an ongoing issue with the NYP hotel staff not knowing about access for Boscolo residents to use their facilities, so this can cause delay and frustration while they sort it out. The apartment was nice enough. Good decor, spotlessly clean, and a nice space to relax in. Staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful. That said, two things make a room for me: a comfortable bed and a decent shower. This lacked both. I prefer a firm bed, but this one was too hard. If you like a soft one, you won't like these. The shower just didn't […] work. There was a ceiling-mounted head which was broken and just sprayed water all over the room. The secondary wall-mounted head was poorly set up and also just sprayed water all over the room. After the first morning of mopping a lake off the bathroom floor, I stuck to running a bath. The bed and shower are why I wouldn't recommend or go back to this hotel, which is a shame because I did like the rest of the apartment. The hotel isn't really set up for food and the breakfast isn't worth 15 euro. It's basically cereal or almost burnt mini-croissants and pan au chocolat. I'd recommend either upping your budget to 25 and going to the New York Café in the Boscolo proper, or heading to the Starbucks up the road. The immediate location isn't ideal for tourists, but it's right next to Blaha Lujza tér with a Metro station and trams so the transport options are good, and it's only a 15-20 minute walk from the main shopping streets and the Danube. Overall: nice idea, but it fails in the execution. It's not up to the usual Boscolo standard. Read more

Stayed for 4 nights in early April 2012 and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel. Around 25 mins from the airport and right next door to a Metro and Tram station, so easy to buy an all transport 24 hour travel ticket to get around the beautiful city - only 2 or 3 stops to most of the main sights, but it is possible to walk to many of them. The Hotel itself […] was very clean and the staff very polite and extremely helpful with Taxi's, restaurants etc. The buffet breakfast is very limited and a little pricey at £10, but free for kids under 6 so worth it to keep the little one's happy. Our extremely spacious 1 bedroom room on the 5th floor was excellent with a comfy double sofa bed for little one, well equiped kitchen, TV in living area and bedroom - no real view, but lets face it, you only sleep in it anyway! My only complaints would be the lack of english TV, especially for the little ones and also the cost of using the spa pool in the main Boscolo hotel (around £15 per day) - should really be free for staying guests. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel for value, location and quality. Read more

Ridiculous. The two hotels need to make up their mind as to whether they belong together or not. Rooms are spacious but poorly built, with a defective closet (sliding door does not slide), a shower that spills water onto the bathroom floor each time, and in general sloppy decor, poor tiling, poor wallpapering, sparse furnishing.
