"Excellent Service"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The staff were super helpful and friendly. Service was impeccable. The room was a little small but it was very clean, well designed, quiet, and comfortable. The bed was delicious and we slept like babies.
"Great hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
As usual, Red Roof Inn failed to disappoint me when I have looked for a balance between cost and decency of accommodation. Indeed, it is the best value for the buck and goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. I had to change my booking and then check out early due to personal reasons but the hotel didnt flinch but rather gave me (through Hotels.com) a full refund for unspent nights. Needless to say, I will prefer to stay here when I can.
"Great value, beautiful views"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
We enjoyed the convenient location(right on the Endicott campus). Literally a short walk to the beach. Staff was helpful and friendly. Bed was listed as Queen size but it was actually a full size which was a bit small for the two of us. Otherwise, very enjoyable and would stay there again.
"Very nice hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Our son goes to college close by and we would stay here again. Very clean, staff was very nice and the breakfast was a bonus. Easy to get to and plenty of places to eat close by.

"gorgeous one of a kind suites"
The room had beautiful leather, modern furniture, one of a kind decor, free wifi and an all marble bathroom with a gigantic shower, loved it!

"No more smelly restaurant"
I was skeptical going to this hotel based on the hotels.com reviews that I read. But, the Indian restaurant that used to be under the hotel is no longer there. So, there is no smell. Also, there are very clear (albeit small) signs on Newbury street marking the hotel's entrance and a person at the desk (and the door open) 24/7. Staff was very courteous […] and helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Highly recommend this tiny hotel. FYI, there are only 10 rooms and if you have #9 or #10, then you have to walk up 3 flights of stairs to get to the room (not able to have an elevator because it is a historically protected brownstone). We had #9 and didn't mind the walk at all, it was well worth it for all the other pluses! Read more
"If your'e looking for location, price and kindness"
If your'e looking for location, price and kindness, Stay here. If you are looking for peace and quiet go elsewhere. The rooms were updated, clean for the most part. Beds were comfy. Staff couldn't be any kinder. Had a few issues. Connecting room was not secured shut and locked. I was moved and told it would be taken care of as soon as the owner returned. […] The new room needed to have the bathtub cleaned. Stay here, bring ear plugs and enjoy Newbury Street and the backbay... Read more
"Good location but needs updating"
Hotel location is perfect for Boston and Newbury Street is a lovely area. But renovations were going on on the ground floor so it was a mess and all we could get was machine coffee and a granoloa bar on the top floor.

"Royalton Suites"
Hotel is under construction in the lobby; When asked if I could leave my bag for the day, it was a problem. Garbage truck arrived at 4:00 am and windows face an alley way. very noisy.
"Great Location"
We enjoyed our stay a great deal. The location is perfect not only since it is near Newbury and Boylston streets which have great shopping and dining but it is also connected to a large mall making it a shoppers paradise.
"its ok. A basic bed&breakfast in a great location"
The place is hard to find. It is on the great part of the city (Back Bay) and on a great street a block from the Prudential Center. The place is an Indian Restaurant that has rooms on the second and third floor. These are obviously converted in "hotel rooms". The room itself was huge and so was the bathroom. The room was very clean, so no issue there. […] There is no phone in the room, which is a bit annoying if you want a wake up call or something. It is also a walk up, so if you issues with that, it could be a problem. The hallway smells like curry, which I guess is expected for being above the restaurant. People were nice, but when I got there, there was a bag of garbage and tons of towels outside my room because they were cleaning the room next to me. Overall, it is fine for a day or two. As a last minute work trip, I needed something that was out of this world expensive and in that location, so it worked. Not a typical hotel though and def not a so called suite... just a big room. Cutest boutique hotel on busy beautiful authentic Newbury street. It's not a hotel per sae but more of a B&B. The room was lovely and had a homey feel. Some people had mentioned they didn't like the noise, especially from the street but I feel that is part of the charm. Loved getting up early walking for coffee. Amazing restaurants on Newbury st with […] beyond incredible shopping. Taxis are cheap everywhere as your super close to everything. Better yet just enjoy a walk. I was also a solo traveller and felt safe and comfortable on this busy well lit street. Happy travels! Read more
"Wonderful little hotel on the best street in town."
We absolutely loved this hotel. It has character, interesting decor and most importantly friendly, kind people. It was also really good value. I am going to recommend it to all my friends and family who will be visiting our student daughter in Boston.
