This was great place to stay, no screaming sring breakers. This is an adult oriented all inclusive hotel. The food was excenllent, you have to try the rotisserie chicken on the beach!

Na Balam got some underserved poor scores. The location happened to be the best location on the island (as far as beaches go), and fairly convenient to excitement of down town. The grounds were spectacular, and for such a reasonable price. Front desk and beach bar staff were not amazing, but not bad either. They could do some training on customer service in order to make it a more magical experience, but all in all, it was acceptable service.

Hotel Features.
La Quinta Inn & Suites Cancun has a health club, an outdoor pool, and a fitness facility. Also known as El Centro, Cancun Downtown is where locals live and shop. Plaza las Americas is an American-style shopping center with large department stores and small specialty shops. Mercado Veintiocho (Market 28), an open-air flea market, is an alternative to the chain shops. Tourists often venture into area supermarkets for souvenirs and liquor. Plaza de Toros features weekly bullfighting.

We were put in a room that connected directly (door separated the two rooms with no sound insulation) to a party next door. We had six hours to rest before our flight. The internet connection didn't work and they couldn't figure out why or ever call back with a solution. There was no soap and they couldn't bring any to us. We requested a wake-up call […] and didn't get one....etc... Read more
"Very good choice if you don't visit Cancun beaches"
We visited Cancun only for 2 nights and it was a very good choice to choose this hotel. It has very clean and comfortable rooms with great breakfast. Its way less expensive, and it served our needs very well.

"Great Location"
We were only in Cancun for one night and had an early flight the next morning. It cost us 40 pesos to get to La Quinta from the ADO bus station by taxi and we were able to catch the free shuttle to the airport in the morning. Although, the shuttle was full, and we ended up on a big time scenic route. It would have been quicker to catch our own cab. […] The staff was very friendly and the complimentary breakfast was great! There is a gigantic mall with lots of restaurants about 3minutes walk away. We would stay here again. But probably not if we were looking for a beach trip, its a bit far from the Cancun Hotel Zone. "Very convenient and comfortable"
Very nice hotel. Will pick-up from airport, but will not drop-off at airport. Taxi to airport is $25 or take the bus for $5 from ADO train station. Two blocks to Mall of the Americas with a number of dining otions (including the great stand-by Sanborns).

"Good for the price, but no access to phone calls"
This is a very new hotel not far away from the hotel zone. If you do not mind going to it by bus, you will save more than 50% on the hotel zone rates. The room is quite big but all the time I stayed at the hotel I had no access to phone calls. And the people in the front desk were quite inexperienced, and could not fix the problem. Even asked me to […] go down and call from the front desk phone - even though this would not guarantee any privacy. To make things worse, the local calls - including ones to mobile phones - were included in the room rate, but I could not get it at all. And I`ve seen more than one guest making calls at the front desk, making this a serious and generalized problem. Other than that, I have no complaints about this hotel. Read more
"Made stay in Cancun even better."
We were very happy with everything about the hotel. The employees very friendly, always helpful, very accommodating. The food was delicious. The rooms very clean and quiet at night. The location was perfect for everything we needed.

Needed a place for one night to p/u someone up at airport. Hotel was great - excellent beds and bedding, great showers, wonderful breakfast and the price was definitely right. Not near the beach but you know that when booking. Would not hesitate to stay again. Great value for a terrific price. Thank you.

hotel nuovo, con camere ampie, pulite, comode e ben finite, ma mal insonorizzate. servizio modesto: colazione squallida (ambiente chiassoso e mal gestito, poca scelta e prodotti di bassa qualità); personale non formato e del tutto disinteressato a soddisfare il cliente (i due incaricati alla reception passavano tutto il tempo con il loro cellulare). parcheggio […] pieno di polvere di cantiere, irrespirabile. posizione buona, considerando che questa è l'unica alternativa alla zona hotelera sul mare. Colazione buona ed abbondante. Camere comode e spaziose, generalmente pulite, ma il condizionatore é molto chiassoso e l'insonorizzazione tra una camera e l'altra é praticamente inesistente. Lo shuttle é effettivamente gratuito. Per il trasporto dall'aeroporto l'hotel si avvale invece di convenzione con una compagnia di taxi i quali, peró, all'arrivo, […] faranno di tutto per farvi pagare. Bisogna insistere con decisione.
