My husband and I were there in late December 2011 as part of our honeymoon. We took the ferry from Penang to Langkawi. The hotel is located quite a distance from the main ferry terminal (the one right next to the hotel is for Star Cruises only, it seems), so you may have difficulty paying a good price to have a taxi take you there. We ended up paying […] about 28 MYR for the 2 of us with all our luggage, which seemed fair. We arrived before check-in time, so had lunch at the Seagull Cafe while our room was being prepared. Food there is really good! You really should eat a meal or 2 there; we ate all our meals there :-) When we got to the room, the view outside was just lovely! We had a Superior Sea View room, which had a small balcony attached, just perfect to hang out, read, look at the sea. However, the bathroom left something to be desired overall. It smelt like pee, which was pretty disturbing, and made me wonder if they perhaps hadn't cleaned the toilet before we were allowed to check-in! Also, perhaps due to the humidity, the tiles looked dingy. The bathtub also leaked water from somewhere, so there was always water on the floor of the bathroom. Outside the bathroom door is a tiled floor, right in front of the 'kitchenette' area which has a kettle and sink. This is clearly a necessary thing since you will undoubtedly track water from the bathroom outside! (I recommend carrying flip-flops to use in the bathroom.) The spa in the resort seemed reasonably priced, and we both booked treatments there, and were pretty happy with them. There is a tour agency located in the hotel lobby, so they can arrange tours for you. We were there right before Christmas, so things seemed quiet overall (which was fine by us). The Seagull Cafe (mentioned earlier) was not open Xmas Eve, which was too bad for us, but the hotel restaurant was operating a buffet, and the bar/restaurant was open as well. This was promoted as 4 star, it is barely 2 star. The only redeeming quality of the hotel is the surrounds and view..it is on a beautiful port..but apart from that...it looks like it has not been cleaned or renovated since 1989. The cleanliness of the room was ok, liveable and comftorble. But the facilities and room are dated, huge stains all over the […] carpet, power did not work, shower leaking, toilet leaking, air conditioner not working. The package also guaranteed pay tv, free wireless and a hairdryer..none of these where included. The reception staff also very unhelpful and not interested in making our stay pleasant at all. The restraurant was the only other reedeming quality, the service was good and the staff actually wanted to keep us happy. Our 3 nights at Resort world were just fantastic, view from the balcony of our superiour sea view room was worth the money, we had rented a car so commute to the bustling cenang street was a breeze. Swimming pool was just enough for my 9year old kid.I would definately go back to this hotel on my next visit to Langkawi.

Lack of maintenance has allowed this hotel to fade to a crumbling shambles. Outside and lobby LOOK ok but the rooms are not great. We asked for the air conditioner filter to be cleaned as it was filthy. We ended up having to take it down and clean it ourselves. Shower and toilet never really cleaned properly. Fly screen doors didn't fit, allowing mozzies […] to get in. Service was good though, and the views over the sea gorgeous. Room was old and run down. Toilet does not have any toilet paper when i checked in. Asked for toothbrush and the hotel staff said run out. requested for late check out and was told RM 30 per hour. Breakfast stated to start at 7 am, but at 705 am there as long queue outside and not opened yet, and opened at 710 am. dont wish to comment more.

We enjoyed the stay very much in Awana Porto. I think the house keeping staff should be able to speak at least conversational english to service the guests. Our bathroom had a soap dispenser which was empty but we couldn't communicate that with them at all. Later I found out that they had no stock of liquid soap but then they should provide extra bar […] soaps instead. Positives: breakfast was good with a wide selection, the long island ice teas were delicious and the view from the restaurant was beautiful. The staff, in the main, were frienly and helpful. Negatives: The greeting from reception when we arrived was less than welcoming when we were told we'd have to pay RM10 to log on to the internet to forward some […] information to the hotel. No other hotel during our stay in Malaysia needed the same information. This rigid adherence to rules continued throughout the stay, for example you couldn't take your towel from the pool to your room and you have to pay for wireless connection (this really annoyed me as it is a service which should be part of the cost). A few other points to note: There is no water cooler in the gym, our toilet was filthy when we arrived and it took the cleaners 3 attempts to rectify it, Rosa's pizza restaurant serves disgusting pizza at a massive price, there is no beach at the hotel, and finally, make sure to pack your walking shoes as the hotel is a half hour walk from the main strip! The best part of the hotel is their location and an unhindered sea view. The rooms are very big. The good feeling however stops here. Tiny toilet and shower room makes such a bad start of the day. This hotel has the most precious location in Langkawi to stay.... Just forget every other place and book your stay with it ! I plan to stay here for 6 nights time permitted sometime in future. We were here for 3 days 2 nights. booked the superior sea view room. The room we were assigned to was in block 1. The whole block was recently refurbished looking at the freshly painted room and new carpeting. The weird thing is that the toilet (WC) is separated from the shower. So we had two smaller rooms for these two. The weirder part was that the […] sink was not in either one of them but is beside our bed!!!! it was weird hearing and loking at my husband floss and brush his teeth and was his face while I am there on the bed watching TV!!!! Then came the loud band from the lounge which was directly below us! They didnt stop till 12 midnight. we complained and was moved to another room and was upgraded to a suite in block 2. this block has not been refurbished and has this musky old smell. the previous looks nicer than this suite. the carpet is extremely worn and the electricity trips every 10 mins, where the lights will go off and on again for about a milisecond. it is annoying!!!!! one plus point though is that from both rooms, the view is spectacular!!!! its a pity that the management is not maintaining this hotel..... it sure is a waste, with the killer view and only 5 minutes drive to cenang. 房间很大，双床也很大。干湿分离，有mini bar。独享一个海湾，景色特别迷人。泳池很大，孩子玩儿得很开心。只是一定要租车，否则出行不方便。早饭也非常丰盛。唯一不足的是没有沙滩，wifi要收费。

老派的四星级酒店，客房内设施相对来说比较老，但酒店自己的视野非常好，海景房望出去就是类似港湾一般的海域，而且来往的人不多，可以提供shuttle bus去珍南海滩，如果需要订车服务，响应时间也非常快，而且收费比较公正。酒店本身带游泳池，但我和朋友去的时候大多在玩外面的景点，酒店内的很多设施并没有好好利用。

客观的说，很喜欢酒店的地点，清静，美丽。如果在兰卡威想找到一个风景很美，价格又合适的酒店一直赖着，那这里确实是不错的选择。不过酒店内部设施确实老旧，我们浴室的花洒只能人工手扶着淋浴。。。有一点经历很破坏心情，入住的时候，店员先是说，一天加100元钱可以换到海景房，我回答园景房就够了，之后又说我订的房子没有两张单人床的房间了，我的订单里有写这个要求的，他回答预定的时候写了但是我们不一定能满足你的要求，只有大床房或者一天加100元变成两张双人床的房子。最后我只能妥协多交了200元钱。希望像我一样对酒店有需求的朋友，慎重考虑。

休闲小住1、2天尚可。酒店自身环境不错，服务态度较好，但离景点较远，应急购物不便。非常遗憾的是把我订的双床房改成大床房，在要求按照预定入住时，居然说是没了，要不就要加钱。据理力争以后才让我按预定入住。有点不可思议。

2泊滞在しました。周辺のホテルよりも値段が安かったのですが、価格以上の価値はあったと思います。海側の部屋にしましたが、見晴らしもよく、非常に良かったです。設備は若干古めですが、部屋の広さも十分、シャワーのみですが、熱帯の国なので、こちらも十分です。朝食も、洋食とマレー料理で、毎朝マレー料理のカレーを食べてしまいました。一つだけ残念だったのは、１階のロビーラウンジで、結構夜遅くまで、お世辞にも上手とは言えない女性歌手２人のショーのようなものをやっていました。チェックインの時に、レセプションで予め部屋を変えてもらったので、実害はあまりなかったのですが、窓を開けるとしっかり聞こえるレベル。ピアノの演奏とか、そういうサービスに変えればよいのでは、と思います。

不错的住宿体验。入住的是没有阳台的房间，但朝海。房间很大，冲凉房、洗手盆、厕所是分开的。被铺干净舒服，枕头过高了一些。不在瓜镇上，必须要有车。附近不远就是珍南海滩，食肆很多，包括著名的真浪花园海鲜餐厅。

Awanaに5泊しました。建物は少し古くなった感はありますが、スタッフの応対はとても丁寧で、非常に子供にやさしかったのでゆっくり休日を過ごすことができました。バンタイデンガ、チェナンニにタクシーで3分位で着くので、食事にビーチに困りません。ホテルのレストランも海が見える開放感ある場所です。

Awana酒店在兰卡威岛最南边, 一条路进去, 到底就是. 位置说实话是属于偏僻的, 周边相当冷清. 如果你没有车, 进出比较麻烦, 而且周围几乎没有吃饭和购物的地方. 最近的饭店要开车5-10分钟, 如果走路那就太远了, 因为兰卡威一般都是28-30度的气温, 不太适宜长距离徒步. 酒店本身还不错, 沿着海湾建的, 但是沿海的路是水泥砌的, 没有一点沙滩. 上网是要付费的, 25马币一天, 这是很让人遗憾的地方, 因为我们在马来西亚很多度假酒店住过, 大都是免费网络, 感觉很便利. 最后说到酒店的硬件设施, 酒店的游泳池比较小, 不过还是比较不错的, 特别是浅水池有嬉水乐园和滑梯, 适合儿童. 酒店是沿海边建造的一个弧线建筑, 如果你的房间不幸在弧线的另一边, 那恭喜你, 你从大堂走到房间至少需要5-8分钟. […] 酒店总体来说有点陈旧了, 地毯有污点, 房间里面的洗手间和浴室都比较旧了, 式样也是老款, 应该是有些年头了. 总的来说这个酒店一般, 如果你有自己租车, 还是可以考虑, 否则还是选择珍南海滩附近的酒店吧.
