Chivapuri Beach Resort - Koh Chang

The rooms were quite nice, but the cleanliness was not that good. The receptionist was a bit impolite. The hotel is kind of isolated from the community; you have to go through the palm woods to get there. Also, the way to the hotel is very bumpy and so dark that you could easily get lost. At the time we travelled there, we used our own car and still […] found it inconvenient. I cannot imagine how expensive it will be if travelling by a taxi... However, this hotel might be suitable for people who want to have extremely peaceful and private stay. It was a week in May when we were there (but not always in the same hotel), and the sea level was low for some time. Lots of sharp stones emerged from the sea, and that was not a beautiful scenery or a safe place to swim in our opinion. We recommend that you go swim in the sea in Lonely Beach and White Sand Beach areas. Read more

Very personal service and excellent staff. Rooms are spacy, however not very private. Restaurant/food on site well priced and good quality. Amazing pool and good, non crowded beach. Be aware though that you'll be very far from anything, and taxis may charge you more than usual due to the isolated location.

Chivapuri - A all brand new resort, just ready to start up for the first high season. All bungalows are just next to the beach, and eventhough the bungalow I stayed in was in 3rd. row, it didn't change the feeling of living just between the sea and the jungle. A realy great location for relaxing, and with all necessary WIFI and mobile signals to stay […] connected to the rest of the world. The location "at the end of the road", makes Chivapuri the clear choice for people who are looking for good service, a quiet spot on earth, and not only party all night long. But still, if a night out is on the program, all of the possibilities of Koh Chang's west coast is there within about 20-30 minutes, by car. I will for sure try to come back as often as I can.
