"really friendly staff"
The location was very central for my needs, the staff were excellent. they gave us an upgrade to a self catered 2 bedroom chalet. We really enjoyed the stay and still had all the amenities. Well done Gold coastGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The Gold Coast simply needs to update in the fashion in which it was conceived. It seems a matter of which comes first, the chicken or the egg? In this case it is to update first or experience a surge of guests and cash flow first. The service was better than the physical condition of the hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great holiday. Golf course very good. Stayed in apartment. Very spacious and well equipped. Swimming pool dainty.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Lovely location a few km out of Dungarvan central at the end of a waterside road. Family-style service. Golfers will love adjacent course.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Views from hotel very beautiful. But the hotel reception and corridors were very cold. We had toasted sandwich in the bar which was good. The bed room was very warm, clean but dated. The tv remote did not work the volume. Staff were helpful and friendly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice location overlooking estuary but you need car to get into the town of Dungarvan. Hotel clearly aim at servicing the needs of the co-located leasure centre and golf course. Needs a facelift, not dirty but tired. Great for groups of golfers. Small play park for the children would have been good if we had children.Genuine Expedia guest review
If we had young children, and a limited budget, with the weather as good on our one evening/overnight stay, it would be quite adequate. A real 1950/1960's family seaside hotel athmosphere!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I booked a room with a sea view but our room overlooked the car park. There was no tv remote in our room. We had a long wait for our breakfast and they had run out of orange juice before we arrived at 9.30am. The bar was very depressing. Overall the hotel is in bad need of a revamp.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Beautiful setting, excellent staff, absolute comfort. Could not have been any better. A very high standard.
Meget nedslidt. For dyrt i forhold til standarden.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

We rented the three bed cottages on the grounds of the hotel. They could do with been updated and smelled musty. The oven was very slow to cook food in and was rusty where knobs were so you never knew which hob was on till it got hot. It's a lovely location but you need a car to get to shops etc. the bunker bar in hotel is ok, again needs severe updating. Food only ok, definitely not hand cut chips like they describe on menu. The lodges are four bed and look very spacious and new. The good thing about the cottages is that the playground is in full view of your window, so handy for keeping an eye on small kids. The lodges are situated at the back. Overall enjoyed the stay but I'd say teenagers would be quite bored

We stayed in the Gold Coast Hotel the aug bank holiday for a three day break ,very welcoming staff ,we were given a sea view room 106 and the views were devine I loved opening the curtains each morning and seeing the views ,the staff were lovely and helpful ,rooms were spotless and cleaned every morning and fresh towels provided ,we eat hear on Saturday night and our meal was lovely I ordered steak which in a lot of hotels has a 5 euro extra charge but not hear and it was cooked to perfection ,great selection at breakfast in the mornings from fresh baked scones and breads, fruit , cereals , yougarts ,and the full irish and again the young girl that served us each morning was very welcoming and helpful , even though we did not have children with us this hotel caters very well for families with young children with a swimming pool ,play area tennis court ,I would have no problem recommending this hotel to friends for a nice break, Linda Cork .
"Excellent Family Hotel"

We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days and it really was excellent. All the staff were very helpful, from those at reception, the restaurants and the pool. They couldn't have been nicer. The room was superb, we got a corner room with a balcony and the room was huge, great living area which became the play area, plenty of storage space and plenty of natural light. The balcony was large enough to sit out on with a fantastic view of the bay. Very quiet at night. Both the restaurant and breakfast area were nice and large. Usual breakfast stuff available. Cereals, juices and breads when you go in and then you order your fry from the waiting staff. Portions from the dinner menu were great no complaints. Pool was very nice, towels available at the desk. Small pool for the kids, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna. Outside the hotel itself was a tennis court, swings and a play area for the kids. 10 mins drive to Dungarvan, 45 to Clonea beach and the sister hotel, and 90 minutes from Tramore No complaints would highly recommend it for families
"Great staff, lovely food"
Had a great time in this hotel. Staff were friendly and patient, food was delicious and abundant. The grounds are nice with a lovely swimming pool and leisure facilities. Super view of the water all round and great location. Highly recommend it.
"Great for a large family"

Stayed here for 3 nights in a 3 bedroom lodge overlooking the golf course. It was very clean & each of the bedroom had a double & a single bed. There was a large sitting room upstairs but we sat in the kitchen as it was very big & our grandchildren could play outside on the grass where we could see them. They loved the swimming pool in the hotel, but the pool & the playground were so far from the lodge they had to be driven there. The lodge itself could do with a bit of a refurb. The oven took forever to cook anything. There were plenty of dishes, cutlery & pots. The one down side is the €55 charge for cleaning if you are not staying for a full week. Would certainly go back but to the 4 bed villas which are beside the hotel.
"Spacious, clean, well equipped Villa"

We stayed in a 4 bed villa adjacent to the sports ground. It was spacious, and the kitchen well equipped for self catering. There is a daily charge for electricity and heating and you need to bring your own towels to yes in the leisure centre. On the Saturday we were hemmed in by groups using the sports ground, and if staying again I would request a different villa. Apart from that the leisure centre in the hotel was great for families and was only a 5 minute walk away. The town of Dungarvan us only 5 minutes away and there are beautiful beaches a few minutes drive away.
"relaxing family break"

Our party of 4 adults & 3 teenage children (2 families) shared a 3 bedroom villa for a relaxing week . The villa was clean & spacious with the kitchen equipped with plenty of utensils & crockery . It was lovely to have plenty of garden space for the boys to play ball games & the men of the family were delighted to simply walk straight on to the golf course ! Bliss ! Of course we all enjoyed using the balcony for chilling out & enjoying the sun . The hotel was a very pleasant 10 minute walk away which was very convenient when using the pool or enjoying the hotel facilities . Although we mainly went for the self-catering option we did enjoy a lovely meal at the hotel . The food was lovely & good value . When we visited the nearby Clonea strand beach we were able to use the Clonea strand hotel car park free of charge too when we said we were staying at their sister hotel . The golf villas were in a convenient location for exploring the surrounding area. Yes some small repairs needed(New towel rails that don't swing & hit the doors ) but insignificant really & staff are clearly working on these . Overall we had a wonderful week & hope very much to be able to return another time !

I stayed in the cottages wit my 3 daughters have to say I would highy recommend staying here, the location is excellent the cottages were ideal for our family stay they were very clean and everything wirked perfectly and there was loads of utensils and cutlery. The cottages overlooked the playground my kids had many hours of fun here as well as playing on the tennis court.the hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful special praise to the new member ofbar staff in bunker bar young girl sorry dont know her name she was so nice to my kids and has a lovely personality.swimming pool was lovely just found the temp if pool little cold. If I had 1 recommendation it might be worth while if the hotel organised few more kids activities perhaps a tresure hunt or coloring competition (whilst in bar). Overall a very very enjoyable stay. Will definitely look to stay again and recommend to my friends.thanks
"Hotel was clean but dated"

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night. We ate in the bar of and we were sorry we did the food wasn't great. I had pasta which was more sauce then anything and my friend ordered burger and hand cut chips. The chips were no where near hand cut. They were frozen ones. The breakfast didn't come up much better. The houses with this complex looked good especially the lodges.

Enjoyed a lovely weekend in this hotel. The room was spacious and well equipped with an amazing sea view and all mod cons including tea/coffee making facilities. The Leisure Centre was very relaxing and well maintained. The food was delicious and served with a smile by the the very accommodating staff. All in all a lovely retreat with lovely walk/cycle ways an ideal break away from the hustle and bustle a chance to relax unwind and enjoy a round of golf or a walk along the beach.
