We found the Miramare, hidden away in a seaside village popular with Italians, charming for its location on the aptly named Bay of Silence. It's a bit tricky to drive to, involving a two-block (legal) traversal of a pedestrian zone, but once you're there the staff could not be nicer or more helpful. Many speak excellent English. From our small but nicely […] finished 2nd-floor room, our cozy balcony faced the bay and the lapping of the waves reached our ears as we slept. The pedestrian zone is right outside the door, and the local cafes, trattorias and gelato shops are welcoming. You'll hear more Italian than English here. The bar area, which overlooks the picturesque bay, is a great place to sip cocktails or wine as the sunsets turns clouds and hillsides golden. The drinks come with complimentary bar bites that are several steps up from the usual. Read more

This hotel was fabulous. Service was great. Hotel is in excellent condition and it is right on the beach with a beach attendant and lounge chairs, umbrellas, etc. We loved every minute of our stay there.Highly recommend a room with sea view. You have your own personal balcony with chairs.

The Hotel looked amazing in the pictures on the Hotels.com website but the room we received was old and in desperate need of refurbishment. The bathroom was pokey and there was mould all over the grout in the shower - nothing a bit of exit mould wouldn't fix. There was no ironing board available or coffee/tea making facilities. On the plus side - most […] of the staff were pleasant and helpful, and we received free bottled water in the room - it did have a bar fridge. This is a lovely old hotel set right on the beach in the Italian Riveria. The location is perfect and the facilities offered are great but outdated. The rooms were functioning but old. It is a short walk to the railway station to catch trains to Cinque Terre and other areas. It was 4 stars hotel probaly 1920 when it was built :) but it has this special italian feeling inside the building. Also very good location and very high prices, example the fried eggs 15 eur in the morning. But it is worth to go there still.

My girlfriend and I flew to Milan and from there we took the train to Sestri Levante. Miramare was within walking distance from the train station (approx. 10-15 min). The hotel was nice and clean, we were welcomed by a nice woman in the reception. The room was ok, but we did not have a balcony nor a sea view which would have been nice, so remember […] to ask for that specifically when you book. The bed was ok but a little bit to hard, apart from that the room was ok. The room got cleaned twice a day. Every morning we ate breakfast while we could look out over the sea, the restaurant was located right by the beach. My girlfriend had her birthday while we were there and the woman in the reception helped me with flower booking, massage booking and restaurant booking. Overall the staff was really friendly. The hotel had its own narrow strip of shore which was really nice. I would highly recommend this hotel, its location and friendly staff made our stay in Sestri Levante a really memorable one. J'ai adoré cet hotel, posé sur la plage, dans la baie du silence qui l'était vraiment ( nous y étions en Novembre).Les chambres sont spacieuses et propres mais il est vrai que j'avais choisi une chambre supérieure du côté mer.C'est un endroit à recommander dans la petite ville balnéaire très agréable de sestri Levante à l'entrée des cinq terres.

Not only the location is superb, directly on the beautiful beach "Baia del Silenzio", but the hotel is very elegant too. I read some not-so-good reviews of the attic rooms so I choose a superior room, without sea view. The room was spacious, very clean, with elegant furniture. There was no bath tub, but a good shower. The only minor fault was that it […] was a bit dark. Our room (n° 206) was very quiet during the night, only in the morning we could hear some people entering and leaving the neighbouring rooms. The fridge in the room had only mineral water, but it was for free, I appreciated this a lot! Be careful because the extras at the hotel bar are very expensive. I appreciated much the fact that the breakfast was mostly made of organic and/or local foods. The staff was very helpful. Read more

Oppholdet var svært tilfredsstillende. Flott beliggenhet på stranden, med "all inclusive" når det gjelder strandutstyr. Hyggelig betjening, fine rom, herlig med frokost på terrassen. Litt vrien adkomst med bil, men det ble greit forklart i resepsjonen, og bilen ble parkert for oss. Hyggelig badeby med koselige restauranter og barer. Kan anbefales!

Dette hotellet er nyoppusset i lekre farger og med vakre detaljer. Veldig rent og pent over alt.Hotellet ligger supert til ved en liten bukt og har egen strand med badevakt og solsenger,håndklær og servering rett på stranden.Er det ledig bør du få et rom med havutsikt men det er også nydelig utsikt fra lunsjbaren/balkongen.Sestri Levante er litt turistifisert […] men med tanke på den nære beliggenheten til Cinque Terre er det ikke uventet. Hotellet har egen garasje og de parkerer bilen for deg mot et gebyr på 20 euro per natt.Det er 10 min gange til togstasjonen og et utall barer og restauranter i umiddelbar nærhet. Hotellets resaurant er også bra og har naturligvis sjømat som første valg. Velidg hyggelige ansatte med god informasjon om Liguriakystens severdigheter. Veldig bra hotel for barnefamilier. Mange gjester kommer tilbake år etter år og vi ble ønsket velkommen tilbake neste år. Våre 2 tenåringer synes stranden var helt topp. Anbefales! Read more

das hotel ist echt spitze....die ziummer waren toll...personal war immer da, wenn man es gebraucht hat. die lage ist auch top...zwischen beiden stränden von sestri levante.....dummerweise liegt es in der natur der sache, daß man einem engen italienischen städtchen auch mit den nachbarn rechnen muß...und wenn der nachbar nachts um 11 uhr holz hacken […] wil, muß man das leider akzeptieren. Le camere sono state completamente ristrutturare di recente, quindi si equivalgono tutte. l'unico appunto sulla mia, la 308, superior, vista mare, la dimensione, piccola per una superior.ho visto le altre, tutte più grandi. Spettacolare la vista, unica la posizione, ottimo il ristorante ed il servizio come la cortesia.

The place with all the advantages is without any doubts important; however as the "people make the atmosphere" it is fair to say that the hotel with their staff and all provided services deserves the best marks. It is also notable that it is lead/directed by the professional manager.
