Kiridara Hotel - Luang Prabang

The view from the hotel of the surrounding landscape of forested mountains is worth the price of admission. Even if your room doesn't have optimal exposure to the view, it will probably have some fragment of the view, and you can get the full vista at breakfast from the deck or the restaurant. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, and many […] speak good English. Breakfast selection is reasonable for a stay of a few days or less (after which it began to feel too limited to my partner and I), and the chef prepares food attractively and is very good about meeting special dietary needs. The hotel is a 10 to 15 minute walk from the neighborhood of town with the most tourist sites and restaurants, but the walk is pleasant, if you take a quiet route through residential streets. The hotel provides free rides in town if you don't like to walk. I thought the prices of the airport transfer and spa services offered by the hotel weren't in line with prices in the area in general (quite a bit too high). The rooms are attractive and quiet. The air conditioning is strong, and there's plenty of hot water and reasonable water pressure. The hotel has a romantic and classy castle-on-the-hill feel. Guys, your girlfriends will very likely be impressed if you arrange a trip to this town and select this hotel. Luang Prabang is also by far the nicest town I've been to in SE Asia, out of many places in Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, and Indonesia. Read more

Lovely staff, very punctual when arranging for transportation to the center of town and back. Rooms are lovely, clean and comfortable, contemporary but with an Asian aesthetic. My only negative comment is that more care should be taken to control mosquitoes from entering rooms. Brand new but staff was well trained and attentive and well educated in first class hotel service (especially Frances who is the hotel manager and made you feel right at home and went out of his way to make ur stay very comfortable). I would say very expensive versus other hotels / guest houses in the area but that is […] not a fair comparison as this is built more as a luxury stay to relax and enjoy and not just a place to get some sleep and a quick shower. Location is a little far from the center of the town but hotel has free transportation back and forth and there is a staff member always on call to drive you so that is not a issue. Newly opened Kiridara hotel served us great experience of staying in Luang Phrabang. Beautiful breakfast with view of Mt. Phusi, cozy room, relaxing spa, free transportation to town etc. 7 of us stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed a lot!!!

This is a beautiful new property BUT it is located on a main road a fair way out of town and many of the tuk tuk drivers in town didn't even know where it is. The description on the website was not at all what the property is as the traffic noise is continuous and there are a number of late night restaurants and bars in the area (supported mainly by […] locals not tourists) that make the area not as serene as the rest of Luang Prabang (which is one of the most amazing places I have ever been lucky enough to visit). The staff however make this property. They are keen to please, try very hard to be the best they can, are genuinely proud of their work and where they work - we felt very special. We used a;; the facilites of the hotel including the small gym - however they often let people who are not guests use the gym and given how small it is it means there is a long wait for the equipment. We didnt use the spa as their prices were higher than we pay at home and when you can get a foot massage in town for a few dollars it didnt make sense to pay $40 in the hotel The chef and the kitchen staff are talented and their menu - although fairly small - was scrumptious! We stayed here for 6 nights during a tour of the Far East and are full of praise and would recommend it to anyone visiting Luang Prabang who is considering a higher end hotel. This is a new property, so new that not all rooms are yet ready for occupation. Hotel facilities and design are of a high standard but what marks this hotel way above the others […] in the area is the professionalism and natural warmth and friendliness of the staff (a stay earlier in the year in a rival hotel was far less positive!). From the Spa, through the restaurant, reception, housekeeping and maintenance staff they all genuinely want to delight the guest (and succeed!). Apple deserves a particular mention as probably the most professional and welcoming and genuine Spa Manager we have met on our extensive travels. The hotel is around 1.5km from the main tourist area but this is either a pleasant 15-20 minute stroll or the hotel can provide complimentary transport on request. The restaurant provides high quality meals at fair hotel prices with a wonderful view across the mountains and a welcome alternative to the usual busy tourist venues. All in all an excellent choice. 場所は中心から離れていますが、市内までの送迎(往路）が無料で、かつ自転車も無料で借りれるので、不便さは全く感じませんでした。ルアンパバンは自転車で回るのに最適なので、むしろいい運動になってよかったです。部屋はおしゃれな造りで広く、シャンプーなどのアメニティも揃っています。また朝食はオーダー制でとてもおいしく、できる範囲でリクエストにも応えてくれます。スタッフも非常に好印象で、マネージャーとシェフは朝食時にあいさつ回りをしてくれていました。おしゃれなスパがあったのに行かなかったことが唯一の後悔です。

場所も市内から少し晴れていて静かで快適で、豪華な国際ホテルのような建物ではありませんけれど、土地柄を良く活かした作りで、清潔にメンテされており、リラックスすることができました。またスタッフも皆フレンドリーで気持ちの良い休日を楽しむことが出来ました。その他、希望と言えば朝食の選択の幅がもう少し欲しかったのと、シーツはともかく、夏は汗をかきますから、パジャマは毎日替えてほしかったです。

瀟洒でこじんまりとしたホテル。ルアンパバンの市街地から少し離れ、濃い緑に囲まれた丘に建っています。対峙するマウント・プーシーまで視界をさえぎるものもなく、ホテルのプールサイドでプーシーの向こう側に沈む夕日を眺めながら飲むビア・ラオは極楽です。ホテルのスタッフはいつでもこちらに気を配っていてくれますが、必要以上の関わりを持たずゆったりとくつろげます。ホテル室内はゆうゆう足が伸ばせる白いバスタブがシャワー室の他に備えられ、ここでもビア・ラオで極楽です。市街地から歩くには少し離れているのですがスタッフに声をかければその場で電動トゥクトゥクで無料送迎してもらえます。勿論早朝の托鉢僧見学も。暑い国なので観光半分ホテルでリラックス半分のステイ、あるいはホテルでお篭もりのステイには最適なのではないでしょう […] か。あと最後にスパですがミストサウナでもゆったり過ごさしてくれるので決められた時間が過ぎても声がかかりません。長いなと思ったら自分でいったん確認してみるのが吉。時間超過にかかわらずみっちりとマッサージしてもらえました。 Read more

街からは少し距離があります。トゥクトゥクで５分くらい。でも、行きはいつもホテルスタッフが送ってくれますし、自転車の貸し出しももちろん無料。 オーナーが気さくな方で、朝食時やプールサイドにもしょっちゅう顔を出してくださり、話をしてくださいます。スタッフもラオスのことを話してくださったり、日本に興味を示してくださる方が多く、心地よく過ごせ、安心して宿泊できます。 １泊ではもったいないと思います。私は１週間宿泊しましたが、ホテルでゆっくり過ごす時間も大好きでした。新しいので綺麗ですし、プールも清潔。プールサイドではよくマッサージスタッフが無料で１０分ほどの肩や首のマッサージもしてくれました。
