The front staff is unfriendly and careless. We walked in and the lady was chatting with the waiter and did not even look at me. No door man to help unload and no designated parking spot for doing so. My husband was unloading and his car blocking the traffic. No other way to do so. The location is the only good thing.

I had read previous reviews of people who stayed at this hotel, and I was a bit apprehensive. They mentioned poor service, a rude bartender,etc. I was so impressed by the hotel staff. Of course, if you go out of your way to thank them, to get to know them, they respond in kind. And they did. I will stay here again when I return.

I have no complaints about this hotel other than the fact that the beds are not very comfortable. Having stayed here for more than a week, I returned from my vacation with a stiff back. Other than that, the cleaning staff is extremely efficient and the restaurant within the hotel (Duk) is convenient and good.

This is a hidden gem. The main tourist area is on Avenida Liberdad from George VII park to the river. (Yes Lisbon is on a river not the ocean.) This hotel is two short blocks off from the park. You can catch a hotel bus shuttle from the airport (3.50euros) and be about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. (There is no subway from the airport, period). Taxi […] is about 20 euros. Once at the hotel, there is a Metro station at the park and it is very inexpensive. The room is nice but one feature that I found interesting is the glass shower, which means the bathroom can be seen from the bedroom area. It has a curtain that can be let down to cover it but I thought it was a bit romantic. The room has Wifi (just ask reception for the user names and passwords) and internet explorer opens right to the login page. Very nice. The closest thing to a complaint is with the breakfast room. Juice glasses are hidden under the serving area and most tables are not set up with silverware and or coffee cups. (some have silverware and some have cups but few have both) and they are not readily available. The breakfast buffet was good but nothing special. Bring your walking shoes as Lisbon is built over seven hills and you could be walking up and down a lot. Overall, this is a very nice hotel and I highly recommend it! Read more

tried to give us a room facing construction site and no working air conditioning in 89 degree weather. complained to manager who gave us another room that was satisfactory. no concierge service. not even close to a four star hotel. very uncomfortable beds. room was small but clean. close to metro but would be better to be closer to city center.

5 month old hotel - typical small European room, minimalist decor but nice. Convenient to Hop 0n Hop off bus starting point at Marques de Pombal circle. Rooms were clean and modern if not overly spacious. Very convenient to the metro or to Avenide Libertade if one wants to walk down the pleasant avenue into the centre. Loaction is on quiet sidestreet but is well lit and safe after dark. Breakfast very good and fee internet (wired and wireless) was very satisfactory. Would return to this hotel.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Well located, near enough to city centre to be near most attractions, far enough away for some peace and quiet. Bar service hit and miss, but staff lovely when they appeared! No soap dish in bathroom, wet soap made a mess of sink area. Breakfast […] chaotic and not very good, but as it was included in a very reasonable price this is an observation not a complaint. Would stay here again and will reccomend with a few reservations. We were prepared that the hotel wasn't on Av Liberdade (most exclusive street) but behind it off Marquis de Pombal roundabout, prepared for the weird window (with blind) into the bathroom and the building site behind, this wasn't a problem as we were out all day. Good staff, breakfast was pretty good, location is fine, happy overall.

This hotel is very conveniently located in Lisbon. 15mins walk to city centre for site seeing. If you don't like walking, there's a metro station 2 mins away and is 2 stops to the centre. This is a new hotel, which is located in the business district. It is about a 15-20 min (with a slight uphill) walk to the centre of city where all the restaurants and shops are located. The staff at this hotel were unfriendly and not very helpful. We had booked a twin room over a month in advance but on arrival were informed that the room hadn't been reserved for us due to a mistake. We had to stay in a double room with an extra portable single bed for one night before being moved to a twin room. We gave feedback on all of this, but the staff weren't very apologetic or receptive to our concerns. There are also building works taking place at the back of the hotel so there was a lot of loud noise first thing every morning.
