Filoxenia Hotel - Athens

The receptionist asked me to move to another hotel across the street because there was no breakfast at that location. I declined to move. Air condition and TV were broken. They sent technician to fix it.

We stayed 8 nights. Desk staff very helpful. Room basic but good value for the price (cheapest in Athens online). Hard working lady cleaned our room every day. Breakfast enough to get one started, egg, cheese, bread, juice and tea. Never had a problem with the neighbourhood but not out looking for trouble at night. I booked this hotel in Athens, Greence. But when I arrived, I am told there is no room for me at the hotel. The receptionist sent me by taxi to another affiliated hotel. But the taxi driver sent me to the wrong one because there are several affiliated hotels. When we finally figured it out, we have to drag our luggage and went to the correct hotel. Overall tired looking, everyone was very friendly but not always helpful. Only 1 of 2 morning calls were successful. One of the Two rooms booked was unlockable. Breakfast was minimal, bar was never open and tv reception in rooms was non existant unless you like watching static. Remote for TV did not work - response was most don't. This hotel is located in a pretty rough neighbourhood, but I didn't feel unsafe. It's very close to the metro stations as well as suburban rail. There is a small breakfast included that was sufficient and not too bad. Our patio door didn't close fully or lock. The room was in rough shape but it was clean and the A/C worked.

Vi blev flyttet til hotel aristoteles, som lå længere nede af gaden. Ganske udemærket sted når man gerne vil bo billigt og bruge det meste af tiden ude i byen. Gå afstand til centrum/metro.

De service van de receptie is voldoende, het personeel van het ontbijt buitengewoon ongeïnteresseerd, het ontbijtbuffet is niet meer dan gewoon brood/koffie/thee/limonade/1 soort kaas/1 soort worst/1 soort jam in kuipje/knoerhard koud eitje. Je moet er op tijd bij zijn, voor je het weet is alles op en moet je maar hopen dat het wordt aangevuld: bedroevend […] dus. Kamer wel schoon, airco werkt (als je weet hoe de afstandsbediening werkt!), verschoning beddegoed elke dag(!), daarentegen was een van onze matrassen bedroevend slecht (matras was gewoon "op"). De buurt bevolkt door groot aantal buitenlanders mn. uit Afrika, er waren elke dag "razzia's" door de politie (in kogelvrij vest), werden er weer illegalen afgevoerd, toch voelden we ons ook 's avonds/'s nachts geen moment onveilig (waarschijnlijk omdat ze zelf banger waren voor de politie dan wij voor hun). 値段からすれば、文句は言えないが、壊れ気味の風呂や、カーテンのないバスタブで洗面所がビショビショになったり、ポンコツテレビと部屋のメンテナンスは良いとはいえない。冷蔵庫もない。 朝食のおばちゃんは良い人だけど朝食の内容はひどい。 チェックインする時も、こちらが聞くまでスタッフの人は朝食の事を説明してくれなかった。次の日のスタッフはまぁまぁ親切だったけど。 ヴィクトリア駅とオモニアに近いのは便利でした。 しかし同じ価格帯なら周辺のペルガモスなど他のホテルに泊まったほうがいいです。

Hotellet har udemærkede værelser med AirCon, værelserne er små men rene og velholdte. Efter indlogering på hotellet, fik vi en kort beskrivelse af hvordan man kommer rundt med metro i Athen, og fyren bag disken var i det hele taget meget hjælpsom.
