"Convenient and Quiet"
The location is convenient to the Ningyocho gray line and the orange line, at a longer walk which is also a mainline to NRT. Stay here if you want something downtown that is pretty quiet, has a few restaurants nearby, and need to get to HND or NRT easily. The rooms are very small. I mean, very small. So, if you're looking to explore the city and don't […] intend to spend a lot of time in the hotel and instead sightseeing, this place is great. Being my second time here, I thought it was clean until I looked under the bed. Gross. Still, I've stayed in worse places and I like the convenience of this place. "Execellent Service and Great Location"
The hotel service was expectacular. The room was a bit small, but it is expected in Japan. The location was very convenient, 2 minute walk from the nearest train station (Ningyocho A4). Many restaurants and corner stores within walking distance. Definitely recommend if you dont mind a small room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Small rooms but. Its Japan. I would stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel in business district"
Yet another nice APA hotel that has everything you need, but in a business district so not walking distance to sights or night life - although many well priced places to eat everywhere. After staying in too many tight semi-double rooms, we booked a double for 5 nights, alas, it was the same size as all the semi-doubles with the bed just a tiny bit bigger. […] No place to put your clothes/luggage/shoes (and we don't have much). But otherwise the room is very comfortable and just a few blocks from the metro. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel close to the Ningyocho Metro entrance"
Location, facilities and room are very nice. Reserving a semi double bed room is kinda challenging for two persons, if you want to be comfortable in one of them, avoid bringing too much luggage. Shower pressure is really good, but the position and angle of the head makes a mess in the bathroom... Some tips, release the head or, non-eco friendly, adjust […] the water exit to be half in the shower and half in the hand washer. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Overall the hotel is very convenient, and the room was a bit bigger than another hotel we used at Tokyo earlier in the trip, which was nice to have some extra room for the bags. I did feel the carpet was not as clean as I would have liked it to be, but overall it was clean. The bed and pillows were not very comfortable but after the first night we got […] used to it. When we checked in they offered us one extra hour (12 pm) the day of check out which was great, and even though they are ECO friendly and say they don't change linens we always had clean towels. Location is great, a subway station is down the block which would take us everywhere. WE didn't eat breakfast here but they have a restaurant on the lobby, buffet around $15. Overall I would recommend. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Rooms are too small. No facilities. Slow internet.Genuine Expedia guest review
Location is convenient, just a few minutes from the subway and close to many good and cheap restaurants. We got a double room, and although it was very small, it contained all necessary facilities: good lighting, black-out, fridge, toiletries, mattress and pillows of very good quality, excellent ventilation (my room was a smoking room), strong WiFi. […] There was a window overlooking a wall (no view). There was only limited space to place your luggage and that might be a problem if your luggage is of a big size. It was clean and we got good sleep. It is definitely small. We had trouble getting AC to work and question if it was even available on our room. Best part was breakfast, we really liked the breakfast. We found the beds comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
These were the most comfortable beds during our trip to Japan. The bath was small, but deep, hot and very comfortable (I'm 5'3"). The rooms had a fridge and there was a microwave located in a communal area. There was one small washer and dryer that didn't dry well. Be warned the rooms are tiny. We just thought of it as a glorified campervan and managed […] fine. The hotel was a 5 minute walk to a subway station, had many convenient stores nearby with food staples. The hotel is in a business district with no tourist sights near, but the subway solves that. The hardest part was the restaurants in this area were super small and would not accommodate our family. Some turned us away due to our children and others just because of not enough seating. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
It was a good experience overall. The location is decent; it's near a train station but there's not much to see in the surrounding area of the hotel. The room was supposed to be non-smoking but it didn't smell like it. They provided a lot of toiletries like toothbrush and paste, razors, exfoliating sponges, brush, and some others. The staff didn't […] know a lot of english except one or two but it was enough for us to get by. I would definitely consider staying here again if there weren't other similar hotels available in better locations. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"NDon't Stay here!"
Worst hotel I've ever stayed at. It's not the tiny room size. It's the nasty room. They didn't have nonsmoking rooms when we got there. The rooms stank of smoke. You had zero space to move around. The only plus? Okay WiFi.Genuine Expedia guest review
This hotel was surprisingly nice for what I paid for. Granted, the room is very small, but it is exactly as advertised. The rooms were clean, the receptionists spoke more than enough English to help me check in and out very easily. One thing I also noticed is that a room key is needed to access the elevators, making it a pretty safe and secure hotel […] as well. Amenities such as a razor, shaving cream, toothbrush and paste, and bath supplies are all provided. The only reason I didn't give it a perfect score is that it is a little out of the way. It is, however, only about 2 blocks from the subway. If you're planning on doing a little bit of subway/train travel anyway, this is definitely a good place to stay. I did love that around the hotel are several chain restaurants, but also many small mom and pop shops that happen to be GREAT places to eat. So, to make a long story short, if you don't mind a small room and a walk to the nearest station, this hotel is a great place to stay at a great price Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A nice example of a Japanese-style hotel"
They give you a free breakfast buffet. However, it's what Japanese typically eat during breakfast so do not expect pancakes and donuts. It's also a Japanese-style hotel, which means the rooms are smaller, there's not much of a view out the window, and the bathroom is different. If you're looking for a non-Western style experience, this is a great hotel […] to stay at. I liked it. The staff is friendly and very customer-oriented and it is in a nice part of town. It's a fairly good walk to Tokyo Station and Ginza, so if you hate walking I wouldn't stay here. It's pretty close to mass-transit stations, however. It's not on a "main" street, but pretty close to one. It'll take some looking around to find it if you're not used to Japanese street layouts. I would definitely stay here again. "Nice hotel for the location and price."
The hotel was easy to find if you exited from the A4 exit of the Ningyocho subway station. As other have indicated, exit from A4 and look left. Please note, you should find the A4 exit prior to going through the turnstile (I made this mistake and couldn't exit from A4). Ningyocho station is easily (and cheaply) accessed from the Narita airport by train […] (1280 Yen). The staff was pleasant and helpful and communication was easy although I didn't have any special requests that would have required them to speak English (or me to speak Japanese). The hotel appeared new and was very clean. The rooms were a decent size for Tokyo but the bed in my room was fairly large so it made the room feel tight (sleeping was pleasant but I felt cramped at the desk trying to work). The bathroom was clean and larger than some. The TV was not too good for non-Japanese but you get watch a good selection of movies for 1000 Yen if you wished. The location was OK - the area appeared to be rather quiet but there were convenience stores within a block and several restaurants (I didn't stay in this area long enough to try any of them though). If you'll be coming in and out several times during the day on business or sightseeing then the location may not be ideal due to the limited train options but it is only a slightly less convenient that being on the Yamanote line or near a major station. "Nice hotel with very small rooms."
A nice hotel in a good neighbourhood somewhere in tokyo. Nothing too special, but clean rooms, good service and - as usual in Tokio - very small rooms. "Great Location and Great Hotel"
Stayed there from 2/26 to 3/7. Hotel is conveniently located near the Ningyocho Subway Station (2 blks away). What also makes this hotel so great is the price and cleaniness of the hotel. Fantastic hotel, helpful staff and great location. Ningyocho neighborhood is a hidden gem with lots to offer for those who prefer a more quiet and laid back trip. There were also very helpful, English speaking front desk attendants […] that will help you with anything from finding a restaurant to which train you should take to get where ever you want to go. The location had easy access to the subway and local restraunts. My room was fine. they said each room had internet AND IT DID NOT. If you wanted internet you had to go to the lobby. Also there were 50 tv channels and not a single one in English. Come on, not one? At the very least they should have access to one English speaking news channel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Nice hotel in a quiet area. It is 15 min walk from JR station and 3 min walk from Metro (different tickets to buy). Hotel was very clean. Staff soeaks very little English. Rooms are really tiny, as most in Japan. overall - good place to stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
The Wifi is very strong. Service was great, very clean but just a bit tight for us as we are so used to big rooms.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The service was good. Front desk people can speak some English, basically enough to understand your needs and provide directions. The neighbourhood has lots of restaurants and the hotel is about a 1 minute walk to the nearest of the two subway entrances. Make sure to pick up one of the brochures in the lobby that tell you all the places in your hotel's […] district. It shows a lot of close by attractions (i.e Fugu, Geisha). Of course the rooms are really small, but I knew that when I booked it. Breakfast was a simple but good buffet. Not sure if it was worth the $25 US that it added to every night of my stay though, considering Ramen and dumplings will only cost you $7 US. Regardless, the convenience of being able to go to the restaurant was nice in the morning. Good coffee. I would stay there again if going back to that neighbourhood. I stayed here for three nights since my favorite hotel in Tokyo was already booked out. This hotel sees quite a number of tourists and is strict about its check-in times. I showed up at 11.30am and was told to come back for check-in at 3pm. I was able to leave my backpack in the lobby (there is not separate room to keep the luggage, they just throw […] a baggage net over it). Staff hat sufficient command of the English language but originally gave me the wrong room (mixed me up with another guest). Staff apologized about the mistake. The room itself, as opposed to other hotels of the same standard and rate, did not offer a safe. The room was clean but daily cleaning was a bit lackluster. The bathroom did not have hand soap, so I used bodywash to clean my hands. The installation of the sink features a weird combination of shower and sink tap and water flows either at very high pressure or not at all, which will most likely flood the bathroom. Shower curtains also are somewhat ill-installed and will not prevent flooding either. It's not exactly a masterpiece of Japanese engineering. The building is essentially a courtyard and it can get quite cold once you leave the room. The shared microwave on the second floor was quite dirty when I used it. Check-out only requires you to throw your room card into a box, so staff might not say good-bye to you. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

we paid almost triple price in the better hotel i have stayed. it is not good, dirty, very very small room; just 2 persons in the room , that's it BUT we have the big 4 luggages so we had no enough space to placed it. the toile quite dirty and dark. i dont like it, i will never get back to stay in this name of hotel again!!!Genuine Expedia guest review

It is true that my room was quite small but clean, comfortable and quiet (just the way I want!). The room is modern and very efficiently organised so all the expected facilities are there. Further, it is possible to open the windows, something rare these days but that I appreciated. The hotel is situated close to two subway stations from which to go […] anywhere in Tokyo. "Excellent location, Ningyocho is a great!"
I highly recommend this hotel. The area is awesome. Ningyocho is a great nieghborhood. I loved the area. A few 100 meters from the Hibaya Line (tube) which can take you direct to many cool places and a short transfer to everything in Tokyo you would want to see. Not back to Ningyocho. Big Echo karaoke across the street. Amazing spaghetti cafe 10 meters […] away. 7-11 store 1 block away. Sushi, noodles, yakitori, curry, and many amazing places within 3 blocks. In regards to the hotel it's clean and very modern and well maintained. Small like everything in your price range if you are considering this hotel. "Small but very comfortable, clean and quiet"
After reading reviews on here I was expecting to walk into the room and not be able to move but this was not the case at all. Yes it is small, but you are in Tokyo. There is room for your luggage at the end of the bed, there are English TV channels and movies available, and the bed is the most comfortable I stayed in while in Tokyo. If you are the […] kind of traveller who likes the luxury hotel experience and spends a lot of time in your room then this is not the hotel for you. "Tiny, but comfy."
The room is tiny (don't take large suitcases, they won't fit in there, especially if it two of you), but has everything you might think of, even an ethernet cable. The comfort is superb.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Having read a few reviews on here prior to staying (eg - bed too soft, can't fit luggage in room) I was very nervous about staying at APA but was extremely pleasantly surprised. There was enough room for our two large cases plus standard carry on and we still had use of the desk. The bathroom was bigger than a 4.5 star hotel we had stayed at and everything […] was extremely clean and felt new. The only downside was the clogging shower so that would be the only maintenance issue. We were very happy and starbucks was right around the corner which was a bonus for two tired travellers. Wouldn't recommended more than a few nights for two people as the space might become an issue but overall its fantastic. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
