I wasn't sure how this hotel would be arriving from the states and having booked with Hotels.com, but it was great. A small room because I was a single, in the back but a view of geen grass and trees. VERY clean and comfortable bedding. I will stay there again. Food was great too in the bar and breakfast was complete!!

In the middle of nowhere on the west coast of Scotland this hotel has the most amazing views over Loch Melfort. Friendly staff, great food and all in an area, whilst out-of-the-way, is so beautiful and perfectly sited for travelling all up and down the west coast. And don't forget the 'Woolly Bullies" in the front field!We had just come from Skye - just a couple of hours away - and were on our way to Glasgow, which means it is situated perfectly for day trips or for someone travelling around. Can't believe we're born and bred Scots and had never been here before. Already recommended to family and friends and we will definitely be back for a longer stay.

Roseneath has a traditional Dinning room with tablelinen and Royal Doulton cream ware .The outlook is over a small garden with views over Oban Bay to the Marina on the Island of Kerrera. The Dinning room can seat 14 Guests. A baby seat is available and reference /map books for forward planning of the days activities!

"Very Nice Experience in a Lovely Sea Side Town"
Upon heading to Oban, Scotland I had no idea what to expect... from the town, from the hotel, etc... What a pleasant surprise! The town is lovely and so was this hotel. The proprietor is a very friendly lady who is eager to please, but careful not to be in the way. The hotel itself is more of a B&B setup, but each room has their own bathroom, tv, etc. […] We stayed in the 4 poster king bed room that had a lovely view of the town and the ocean. Room was warm and comfy (considering it was about 30 degrees out at night) and though small, the bathroom was perfectly adequate. A hot breakfast, cooked to order, is included with the room. Only downside is that the hotel is up on top of a hill, which is a bit of a treck down to the main town, but it makes for a quiet location with a good view. "A few minutes walk from the water front in Oban"
Couldn't have asked for more at Roseneath Guest House. So close to the middle of Oban with the water front restaurants and McCaigs Tower being very walkable. Made very welcome by the helpful and attentive owner. Hotel is situated in a quiet, location on a hillside overlooking the harbour and Oban Bay and a short walk from the town's shops, restaurants and transport links. It is a solid Victorian property with a small car park at the rear. Bright, twin-bedded, en-suite room with small, adjoining TV lounge […] - comfortable, as was the bed.
