convenient, great price, clean but thin walls. If you don't mind hearing every little step, noise and bed squeak of the guest above you, I would recommend demanding an upstairs room. Overall a great value.

As a woman travelling for business by myself, I did not feel comfortable staying in this hotel. The parking lot was dark and empty, and it is surrounded by construction sites and trucking. I ended up leaving before even checking in.

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff there were accommodating but the area is so bad you better just make it an overnight stay and don't expect to walk along to the Oracle Arena/Coliseum after dark despite the fact that it is so close to them. The location is in the bad part of town. There was no Mall near the motel as advertised. It would have been a long walk to shopping if we didn't have a car.

Good- Very nice, feel at home, very clean, fast internet sevice.. BAD- Down fall is on the back street NO tranportation near by you'll have to call a cab or by car. Otherwise I feel safe here.

The stay was terrible... its in the heart of the oakland ghetto extremely dangerous place. We were pulled over and asked by the police officer why we were headed to the hotel and told by the cop its really not the part of town we should be staying in. Very disapointing... we went to a monday night football game at the coluseum.hotel was close to stadium. parking was easy .one freeway offramp to a mall and several diffrent restaurants.lots of construction going on for light rail and freeways,but not to bothersome.place was very clean.and staff was courteous.

The surrounding area isn't the best, but the hotel is wonderful! The rooms were super clean, and had great amenities (the refrigerator was huge for a hotel, and the microwave is very up-to-date!). I like that they offered a small complimentary breakfast too :) I had a great stay, and would definitely go back, and even recommend this to others!

NOTE: At the moment (20th August 2012) there is a HUGE construction site at the highway directly aside the motel. Some of the rooms are directly by the highway. The noise is hard to describe... Rodeway Inn is apparently family operated by, and they were very helpful and customer oriented. They helped me out on a few things, where they went out of their way to help me out. I happened to do a last minute trip to San Francisco, and it happened to be at the same time as the America Cup, the U.S.. Open and some sort of festival. The other hotels in San Francisco came with a very expensive price tag, above $350. The hotel was fine but the area it is in is awful. It is not a nice part of town and all the construction made it very frustrating to find, enter and leave. Would not recommend staying here until after all construction is finished and if you are not arriving at night. Construction will be over about November 2012
