Great room rate, cordial staff. Great restaurant and easy access to London for world business travellers.

The Corus was a good value for the money - especially after walking into some of the other private hotels in the area....the room was clean and spacious by European standards. The towels were a little worn as was the carpet and the upholstered furniture - but the bed had crisp linens and the bath was very clean. With little time spent in the room, I would consider staying there again for the price.

"Country Retreat"
We were very impressed with Richard the Landlord ,who went out of his way to type the route for us to drive to a function we were attending a few miles away. "Very disappointed with the stay"
I booked this hotel based on the previous comments by other stayers and I have to say it was not what we expected. Despite booking and being called to ask about a band playing we arrived and the staff did not appear to be expecting us. There was a disagreement with a staff member and the owner as it appeared our room was allocated to someone else. We […] got a room which was cold whilst the bed was very uncomfortable. There was a band on - we knew about this - but the noise from the bar afterwards was too much and we didn't get much sleep. "quiet and yet convenient"
I only stayed the one night but it was very good,pity I did not stay on the comedy nights,usually the last Thursday in the month.Room very clean,full English breakfast excellent, choice of good real ale,quiet village location but pleasant, easily found using the sat nav-no silly tracks or narrow lanes etc. given the chance I will book there againGenuine Hotels.com guest review
