"Just a great place to stay"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Oct 2, 2012
We loved the amazing array of fresh fruits offered at breakfast (in addition to loads of other foods). Finding parking on the street was easy and the neighborhood seemed great so we were were not worried about the car. We felt we got very good value for the room price we paid.
"If I am ever fortunate to return THIS is the hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Sep 12, 2012
Beside the castle, above the sea, wonderful hosts, good breakfast: this is a wonderful hotel! The only improvement I can suggest is better internet service, but everything else was wonderful. The memory of this charming hotel will warm my heart forever.
"quiet B&B outside of town"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Aug 17, 2012
Room and amenities were adequate, except tight parking and warm but not hot shower water. Everything neat and clean. Owners very friendly and helpful, came to lead us to it, because it is up a hard to find hill road. Not within walking distance of anything, but can drive to LLandudno or Conwy without much trouble once you find it. On a quiet hillside with a nice view of the sea. Good place for a rest up between touring or a quiet stay. Bring a GPS!

"very welcoming and friendly"
Unfortunately the location is way off where we thought it would be but I blame hotels.com for this and there lack of explanation. Contrary to some trip advisor reports we found this place really welcoming, the staff super helpful and the breakfast was lovely too!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The only issue i had was poor internet access. Everything else was fineGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Very good hotel but had a small problem finding it even with satnav. No one said it was a pub. Very good food served and we would go there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great location for a short break"
I stayed in a twin room which was nice and peaceful with a view of open countrysde. We had an evening meal at the hotel which was wonderful - very tender Welsh lamb, delicious! The hotel is near to Lllangefni with good access to the A55 but a quiet location for a good rest. The lounge bar had a good relaxed aptmosphere. The staff were very helpful and […] approachable. An ideal place for our short stay in Anglesey. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Ideal for the ferry"
Great place - easy to find - a bit tight on the parking side. We arrived just after they stopped serving food, but the Chef did us a superb (and huge) gammon & chips anyway. The worst thing was having to climb the stairs afterwards! We'll stay there whenever we travel from Holyhead.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Internet Connections are Sketchy at Best"
One of my biggest gripes is that most hotels advertise complimentary internet (wifi) connections IN THE ROOM or THROUGHOUT THE HOTEL and yet, when you arrive and ask about the connections, they most times have an excuse as to why the internet is not working either at all or well. This was the case with this hotel. There were absolutely NO connections […] in the room and when I asked at the bar, I was told that people were in the bar the preceding evening and the connections worked. Since it was very loud and crowded in the bar, sitting there and trying to use Skype or answer e-mails was totally out of the question. I finally DID find a spot in the breakfast dining area where I got intermittent service but trying to use Skype was really hopeless. That was unfortunate since I had an airline ticket problem that needed to be resolved with Expedia in the US and that could not wait until I moved on to the next accommodations. I found out later from relatives in the area that the whole Llangefni area has very spotty internet connections. Just wish hotels would be honest and upfront about their problems providing internet. Also this hotel employed a "do it yourself" breakfast that was a bit bizarre and certainly engendered conversation amongst the guests partaking of breakfast. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good except for bed"
We had a good night here and found that the location is good as long as you have a car as its in the middle of nowhere. The bed was terrible and could feel all the springs in the bed. If they could change the beds it would be awesome.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Tafarn-y-Rhos - Rhostrehwfa. Anglesey"
Great value for money,we stayed in room 3 which was away from the pub,so no noise, breakfast was great, but did have to pay £5 each which was a bit misleading as it stated full breakfast included. Parking was a bit tight at the rear of the pub,but there was another car park round the side.Very easy access for A5/A55.Pub food available and staff very […] friendly, Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Simple but satisfactory stay in Anglesey"
Rustic but clean. Don't miss the tavern downstairs: good and reasonably priced food, and lots of cordiality!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
