We certainly enjoyed our visit at this country house hotel. A little smaller property than several others in this category but overall a fine stay with great hospitality by the staff.

I was near the Lincoln Cathedral and decided to book a room. I saw Church Lane near the cathedral and saw the Old Coach House on Hotels.com and booked the room. It turns out that it was actually in North Kyme and about 30 minutes drive. I was a little mad at myself for not catching that and drove out to the hotel. The place is located in a village and it's a very quiet place. I checked in and immediately was greeted by the extremely friendly owner. We got the last room in the guest house across the street and had our own private patio. After we settled in, we went to the pub next door to the main building and had a pint. The place was lively for being so late at night. That night I had the best sleep that I have had in months. The room temperature was perfect, the sheets and bed were just right, and I felt completely at ease. The next morning my girlfriend opened the patio door and let in the morning breeze and sun and I slowly woke up. Our stay finished up with some amazing breakfast and conversation with the family. We actually changed our itinerary based on their recommendations! I would not have seen the bat filled church if not for our stay there! I highly recommend a night or two here if you want to relax and take life easy.
