"Clean and pleasant."
We have nothing to complain about the comfort and cleanliness of the room. However, if you are looking for restaurants or places to buy groceries, you will be disappointed. There is only one grocery store and it was already closed by 7 pm. The internet was extremely slow and we finally gave up. However, we are satisfied overall. The location is less […] than 30 minutes from Grand Canyon which makes it very convenient. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"large rooms, good food, in need of updating"
The rooms were comfortable but needed updating - new carpet, new fixtures, etc. It is in reasonable condition but may seem "run down" to some due to a perception of being old. The pricing is appropriate con-sidering the location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good hotel covenient for the Grand Canyom"
Our satnav (Garmin, up-to-date maps couldn't find this hotel. The address is given as Williams, but in fact it is closer to Valle on the road to the south rim of the Grand Canyon. This was very confusing: in the end we found a ranger who could explain where the hotel was exactly.Genuine Expedia guest review
"It's an okay stay."
Couldn't check out at 6 am because they don't open till 7 am. This bothered us a bit. Other than that okay.Genuine Expedia guest review
Right between the Grand Canyon and the wonderful small town of Williams. Make sure you make the drive to Williams. It's such a nice getaway from the BIG city.Genuine Expedia guest review
"nice big and clean room and good service"
very adequate location if you are visiting the GC. good service, easy check in and a nice, comfortable room. only downside is the slow internet access speed. would definetely stay there again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Fake hot tub."
It took 20 minutes to check in, the 'heated' pool was cold and the 'hot tub' frigid. The 'free wifi' is extremely slow and provided by HughesNet--and as such is limited, cell service is negligible here, so if you want to be connected in any way to the outside world, don't stay here. The room itself was fine, but remember to ask for extra towels at check […] in if there are more than two of you because "rooms are set up for 1 or 2 people"... All in all, I will not be staying here the next time I visit the Grand Canyon. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good choice to see the Grand Canyon"
Nice to be able to stay about 30 minutes from the Grand Canyon without paying too much. The restaurant was way over priced so we bought some meals at a near by convenience store and others at fast food restaurants closer to the Grand Canyon.Genuine Expedia guest review
Great stay. I will recommend this hotel. Very close to Great Canyon south rim.Genuine Expedia guest review
"An awful hotel to stay"
We took a family vacation in Grand Canyon, unfortunately had an awful experience in this hotel. The hotel was 20 miles away from Grand Canyon. The facility was old, the bathroom fan was broken. The wi-fi was extremely slow. One of the staffs was rude. The aid said the hotel would provide free breakfast, but ended up with paid breakfast. The hotel was […] definitely over charged for such bad service. We will never recommend to anyone else. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good choice, close to canyon"
Large clean room with plenty of space to dump luggage and not trip over it! Big clean bathroom. Only choice for food is in the hotel restaurant. WE had breakfast there which was good enuf and moderately priced. There are no other choices, as there is nothing else around. Pool and hot tub were not hot at all and did not look clean. Hotel and restaurant […] staff were friendly. A good choice for staying close to the canyon (30 miles) to get an early start for hiking, without paying the higher rates to stay in the National Park itself. "nice hotel for the location"
clean hotel, older but well maintained, need trash cans out side, comfortable, great restaurant, nice lounge, store next door, overall it was a good stay for my family, not too far from the canyon or other places to see and doGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great Location - Near Grand Canyon South Rim"
We ate breakfast in the hotel's restaurant. Our server was Babz. She rockz!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Beware, travelers who are looking for hotels at the Grand Canyon, DO NOT book at this hotel or you will be sorry. Travelers should be aware that this hotel location cannot be detected by any GPS and that the hotel front desk staff do not know the Grand Canyon area, and thus, cannot give the right directions if you call them. The staff knew that their […] location cannot be detected by any GPS and yet, everytime I call to ask if I am on the right track, they will put you on hold for the longest time, not considering that you are about to lose signal where there will be no way to ask for directions. Yet, all the different shift desk clerks would claim that they are not familiar with the Grand Canyon area in location to their hotel. There is no complementary breakfast as well. I wil NEVER stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Hotel met expectations. Pillows a bit lumpy but room was clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"okay for cheap stay"
Pool was okay, Hotel itself is old and needs updating. I would not stay there again. No food area, Hotel didn't serve dinner until 6PM so if you have kids you had better plan ahead. The internet didn't work at all...over all , it was just okay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We had a good time at Grand Canyon Inn. The staff was very friendly and breakfast was great. We really enjoyed the pool and spent a lot of time there but the hot tub wasn't working.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I was very disappointed in the hotel. We had wanted to stay in Williams, AZ, and the hotel address was Williams, but the hotel was 30 minutes away. The first night was ok. Our toilet did not flush properly, but we dealt with it. The second night when we returned from the Grand Canyon, it was hotter in the room than it was outside and the air conditioner […] had been on all day. The maintenance staff was very friendly and helpful in trying to get it fixed, but it never was. Thankfully, there was a fan that we put in the window to get some air. It was a miserable night!! We weren't offered anything as far as compensation for having to put up with that. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Closer to the Grand Canyon!"
All hotels in the area were booked. This hotel ("it") had 1 room left & thus I booked it. Stated it had WiFi... IT DID NOT, it stated it had breakfast... IT DID NOT. NEVER able to access WiFi - Hotel Rep stated it was in the Lobby (I proved her wrong) then she told me they ran out of WiFi & I replied while giggling, "WhAt, how do you run out of WiFi?" […] (I don't like people who try to play me stupid). The "breakfast" was the Cafe literally around the corner from the checkout counter. Be strongly warned: 1) the cook doesn't like to make anything but scrambled eggs (egg beaters) when eggs are involved; 2) there is no discount on breakfast just because you were a guest at the Hotel (elderly couple found that out the hard way); 3) the Cafe is $$$; and 4) no elevators in the Hotel - request, if possible and/or if available, for a room on the ground floor. Other than the fibs and drama in the Cafe... the Hotel is what it is... Close to the Grand Canyon!!!! The rooms were clean, the AC worked like a charm, the beds were very comfy with plenty of pillows, there was no musky/moldy smells; and the stars were AWESOME to see during the night sky. If you can over look these few little things (as I did that day/night/till now) that make no difference to the rest of your life especially while your spending quality time with your Family while exploring this great US of A - then this is the Hotel for you. Enjoy, cuz Life is worth it. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Close to the Grand Canyon's South Rim"
The hotel was comfortable and clean, and a great place location-wise if you plan to go to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Staff were courteous but not too friendly. Pool area is especially nice, with beautiful landscaping and nice sitting areas - watch for the bunnies hopping around there in the evening! The hotel has a restaurant attached to it. […] The food was fine, but unfortunately the ambience was totally destroyed by a large tour group of Europeans who had spent the hours before the restaurant opened drinking in the bar. They were so loud and obnoxious we couldn't finish our meal and had to leave. Not the restaurant's fault, but they could have spoken to the group and asked them to hold it down a little. "Great Location to Grand Canyon"
The Grand Canyon South Rim entrance was only 20 minutes away. There was a resturant and bar which was nice. the Pool was nice as well. The only issue we had was that the wifi was spotty. they only gave you one password, and it could only be used on one device. there were three of us and we all had smart phones. we had to toss a coin with who got to […] use the password. in the end it didn't matter because the wifi didn't work anyway. "Old Hotel in need of update"
Not sure if the rest of the hotel is the same but our room was vintage 1960s with mismatched shower handles, weak & inconsistent water flow, so much so that it fell to a dribble and the came back to 1/2 power. A/C failed after 3 hours of operation and looked extremely old. Response to problems was fairly fast the next day, but decided to shorten stay […] and get away as soon as possible. "Close to Grand Canyon"
This hotel is the closest lodging to the Grand Canyon with reasonable rates( not including the lodgings in the park which require a years lead time for reservations). It's about 20 miles from the National Park and is in the middle of nowhere. But! For my trip it was the best value for convenience to access the N.P. If I make another trip to the Grand […] Canyon without being able to get lodging in the park itself, the Grand Canyon Inn will be the place I stay. Finally, the restaurant of the hotel was really O.K. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
So glad we stayed here. Close enough to Grand Canyon to be convenient without the high price. Only complaints were that breakfast was not included (knew that ahead of time) and the internet did not work well. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms. Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We stayed here during our two day adventure at the Grand Canyon. It's very old hotel and the internet Wi-Fi connection was not very good. However, it's only about less than half an hour drive to Grand Canyon.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good place close to Grand Canyon"
The hotel is relatively close to the Grand Canyon, and the rooms were spacious and clean. Bathroom was recently remodeled. Wireless is available, but they use specific room encryption keys that often do not work well on multiple devices.Genuine Expedia guest review

"This is a great hotel for the value."
This hotel is situated nicely between the Grand Canyon and Williams. It is only 20-30 minutes from each. The restaurant is a great alternative for breakfast. We did not eat lunch or dinner there. The rooms are nice for the price. The pool is a great place to cool off after a long hiking day at the Canyon. I would definately recommend this hotel and […] would definately stay there again. Nice, clean hotel. Limited parking. Close to train tracks, but you don't hear them at night. Eat at an amazing Mexican restarant, about 8 minutes away, called "La Posta de Mesilla."Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not worth the price."
Nice staff at reception desk. Very friendly. The landscaped area in back was nice. Pool area nice. Hot tub wasn't working, and that was not only a disappointment for us, but for others as well. It had an old motel feel. Carpet seemed quite worn and not too clean. There seems to be newer tile in the entry of the room, and new counter top as well. One […] of the head boards seemed a little sticky, but sheets and towels quite clean. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Grand Canyon Inn"
The hotel has not been renovated for years. The carpet looks dold an dirty. In the miidel of the shower, running hot water was out and I took rest of the shower with cold water. The price, however, was very very high compared to its condition.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to the Grand Canyon"
It was passable - they had lodging available, so we stayed there. They had renovated some of the tile in the room, so it did look decent. The carpet was stained though; the beds were mediocre but passable. The faucets in the bathroom were reversed and slightly leaky, so it was a bit of a challenge there to shower in the morning. However, the pool was […] very nice. The breakfast room didn't open until 7am, disappointing considering we were there in the hot season and wanted to get to the Canyon early; there was a long line and we weren't eating until 8 despite being in the line at 7:05. If the hotels at the Canyon are all booked again, it would probably would be easier to get to the Canyon early by staying in Flagstaff and driving early... Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Overpriced and Remote"
Granted, every hotel/motel anywhere near the Grand Canyon is overpriced, but this one is overprice and remote. Located almost 30 miles from the park, you are limited in your amenities options. While we were there, the internet was out (a thunderstorm two days earlier), the "heated" pool was freezing, and the hot tub was even colder. The television channel […] selection was limited to about a dozen channels of non-HD Discovery Network programming and some local programming. The restaurant, the only one in a thirty mile radius was slow and extremely expensive. A bacon cheese burger with fries, two fried chicken legs with fries, and two 16 oz drinks was more than $30! The gift shop was a route 66/native american themed truck-stop-feeling kinda place. The prices for nicknacks were reasonable, and some were actually pretty cheap. Overall, I would not recommend the Grand Canyon Inn, unless it is your last option. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"not bad at all"

"Close to Grand Canyon but little else"
We came here for a close hotel to the Grand Canyon, and this hotel is perfect for a quiet location near (relatively), but not much else. There is a gas station next door and a campground with a small general store across the highway. Williams is 30 miles away in one direction, and the Grand Canyon 30 miles the other. I suggest you get supplies ahead […] of time. The hotel room is clean with actual queen sized beds as advertised (a first for us on this trip), cable, flat screen tv and mini refrigerator. Wifi worked but slow and spotty. Pool was small but nice, especially after a long hot day at the canyon. Not a bad deal for the hotel, but fill up before you get off the interstate. "In the middle of nowhere"
This is an older motel that is truly in the middle of nowhere. It is about 30 minutes away from the Grand Canyon. My biggest issue was the lack of reliable wifi. Free wifi is advertised and when you check in, you get a disclaimer explaining that it is not reliable wifi. That just doesnt make sense in the 21st century.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Warning - a 30 minute drive to see the Canyon"
The name of this motel is so deceiving. We definitely want to go back to see the Grand Canyon but we will stay inside the national park next time. This place is just too far away and in a pretty ugly area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
advertised as Williams location, but 30 miles back toward grand canyon. could not adjust water temp, scalding hot or cool only.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Absolutely overpriced ! Old room! No wifi in room!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Expensive not luxury"
The hotel is pretty run down. Our door didn't shut well, the faucet in the shower was stripped, the hot tub was a cold tub.....You get the idea...Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A little old school but clean."
The room was a little dated but it was clean. Right on the way to the Grand Canyon but a little farther away than I was expecting. Not much around the hotel except for a gas station. Not a bad place to stay if you are booking at the last minute and everything closer to the canyon is sold out.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

I needed a short notice reservation near the Grand Canyon. My third stay there. Staff were extremely helpful. Pleasant Bar. Quasadilla, made it the kitchen with extra jalopenas, no disappointment. Great place at the intersection of routes 64 and 180 about 30 mins from the canyon for half the price of places in the Grand Canyon Village. Stayed there in 2006 and again now - still the best value for money around.Genuine Expedia guest review
