We spent the night there because it was close to the Museum of Natural History in New York CityGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel staff was very friendly. Rooms were small but well laid out. Good location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Really enjoyed our stay."
Hotel was fantastic. Comfortable but fun at the same time. Really cool how the rooms maximize the use of limited space. Made use of the pool tables. Complimentary muffins were delicious.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"A Great Place for a Short Stay"
We loved the Yotel! I had read reviews beforehand warning that the rooms were small and the bathroom very part of them--but we found the whole ambiance (not 'rooms' but 'cabins' designed to make highly efficient use of the space) very appealing. I was glad I'd brought only one suitcase! Not enough storage space for an extensive wardrobe. But for a short […] stay, it was perfect. Quite hip and drew a lot of younger patrons; location was perfect for our needs. Best: it was sparklingly clean and bright. A pleasant place to stay and our grandchildren had fun opening and closing the bed! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A very comfy stay"
Went to nyc with my 16 year old daughter for some fun. We had a great time and really enjoyed Yotel. The staff is super friendly and the decor is fun with a purple theme. My only suggestion is to change the soap dispensers...they don't work well. Great location for this hotel, too!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Overbooked by Hotels.com"
I booked the Hotel through hotels.com, When I arrived at the hotel at midnight, I was told by the hotel manager that the hotel was over booked, and that I needed to find another place to stay. I found another hotel close by, at 2am. for a 6am meetingGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"The hotel itself is a swank adventure! Muy Comodo"
Great place. The front desk & concierge staff's eccentric + positive energy, really makes it a fun visit. Pool tables in the afternoon for friends to talk, relax. Brunch hour, swank bar, decent views, and art decor filled restaurant really give you adventure without leaving the hotel. I got switched to a different room (2nd night) after a small problem […] with hard bedding. All the cabins for rent here have small windows (the room is relatively small, but normal for Times Square) but a great view. That's the only things that 'threw me' a little. The 2 young women at the front desk, giving me a few laughs every time I was on the 4th floor, made up for the slight inconveniences. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location and value"
Hotel served my need for a reasonably priced hotel near Times Square.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Will stay again. Very nice compared to all the major NYC hotels that love to rip everyone off.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Only negative comment I can make is that the bed was too firm. Just wish it would've been a little softer. Otherwise, this is an excellent NYC experience!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Efficient and Cool!"
The room space planning is amazing. The rooms are small but because of the super modern and efficient layout, it seems much larger or you don't miss having the extra space as much.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"good close and cheap spot to stay near downtown"
It was clean and secure, the highway noise was a bit excessive if you are a late sleeper but for the proximity to downtown and priceGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice midtown. Modern hotel"
The lobby staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was tiny but had plenty of storage and all the expected amenities. We had a nice view. My only issues were the horrendously dirty air filter (which we asked to be changed, and it was) and that the bathroom has zero privacy. It's all one big open room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Glad we tried it. Won't be back."
Cruise ship sized rooms. Lack of employees. Front desk didn't answer at night. Some neat futuristic amenities. Overall not thrilled.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel Yotel quality stay..."
Yotel was great! Loved the clean, ergonomically designed rooms. It was quiet, comfortable and up to our high standard of cleanliness. Hotel location was central to everything, close to subway, Time Square, etc. Staff was helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this hotel and plan on staying here during our next trip to New York.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Efficient and conveniently located!"
The beds were a little uncomfortable, but for the most part efficient and good for quick business trips.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice in NY"
4 days in NY. Great location. 1 1/2 blocks to bus to airports. 1/3 cost of cab to airport, just add 30 min more to airport as busses run every 30 min. cab to airport 50 min. 3 blocks to times square or Hells Kitchen. Everything walking distance. Cabs great when tired of walking about $1.00 per min to ride. Central park cost about $13.00 from hotel. […] Loved free coffee, muffins and hot choc. I booked this hotel stay for a night in the city. I was so pleased with the friendliness of the staff, and the cleanliness of the room. Keep up the good work Yotel staff, a friendly outlook goes a long way. I will definitely stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great location. Great service. Very clean. Only issue is that the bed could be more comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was great! The luggage machine was a laugh. The towel warmer and free cocoa/cookies warmed us up after a long day walking in the cold. Room was small but very nice, and the free breakfast muffins were a pretty good way to start the day. The bar/restaurant had a nice view at night, and the lighting and personality of the place was just generally great. […] The hotel is a couple blocks west of a Times Square, so it was near everything but not overly loud or crowded around the hotel. :) Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"what's the point of staying in a hotel ?.... to sl"
Spend the extra money for a real hotel with a real bed.....the pull out futon bed is like sleeping on the floor... Felt like we were spending the night in an IKEA show room.....not a great choice for a couple....!!!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Overall good experience and I'd probably stay here again, but the bed was hard as a rock. Microhotel concept is fine - small, efficiently designed room, with few perks - but this one is showing a little wear.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Christmas tree sighting!"
Great hotel in a great location. We only stayed one night but will be back again for sure. I love the set up. A little different but that's what makes it so cool. I wanted some place close to the Christmas tree and this was it. Only a few blocks from it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Lots of walking"
One night in the Big Apple to see a Broadway show. Location OK . Room very small, not for anyone with claustrophobia! Only complaint was a dirty pillowcase that I did not discover until the am when I turned the pillow over!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Tis true-- you pay for what you get."
Check-in was uneventful albeit a little unusual as guests check in using kiosks like at the airport. Our room was a deluxe queen with an automatic fold-up bed- this provided a little extra space in the room. Thank goodness we booked a deluxe queen, I can't even begin to imagine how small a regular queen must be. The room was very small and there was […] hardly any room for luggage. The bathroom was open to the room with the glass shower stall as the separation from bedroom and bathroom. The hotel mirrors accommodations found on a cruise ship. The room itself was very clean, and the young staff at the hotel was nice enough Breakfast is a la carte although they do provide very good complimentary, freshly-baked muffins. We used garage services at the hotel for our Toyota hybrid Avalon. The valet who parked our car was unfamiliar with the car, and he did not turn off the ignition. Hence when we returned four days later, our battery was dead. They fixed the problem some six hours later, but it was an inconvenience for us and we returned to Boston rather late that evening. Also, beware-- if you park your car at the hotel, they leave the driver's window down with the key inside. Do not leave any valuables in the car as the cars are left unsecured. In short, our experience was a reminder that you pay for what you get. The price of the room per night including taxes was under $200. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean and convenient"
We stayed for four nights. The room was smaller than we expected but very efficient. We found a grocery store and a few fun bars a block away. There were always cabs at the door. The in-house bar and restaurant were great. We mistakenly left the Do Not Disturb sign on the door while we were gone all day. When the housekeeper saw us come back that evening […] they cleaned the room. The only negative was see thru glass on the shower and toilet! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"5 stars if they resolve their housekeeping issues"
Overall I was very pleased with the stay however, the room was very dirty, there were hairs in the sheets and dead bugs on the blinds and trash behind the bed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Trip to NYC - Macy's Parade 2014"
Exclusive Queen Cabin was cramped and lacked privacy in bathroom. Window was drafty and room not sound-proofed. On a positive note, staff was very friendly and helpful. Location in walking distance from Time Square.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice, warm, perfect place to stay. Defenly a recomend.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Trendy ... But terrible Internet."
Pros: comfy place. Plenty of outlets. Shower was really nice. Close to Times Square. Cons: for such a trendy hipster-like place, Internet in the room was iffy at best and kept going out. Breakfast was paltry (only muffins?!). Really the Internet issue was my biggest problem.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good stay, but can improve to make it great!"
Hotel was very accesible to Times Square by walking. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Best part was the pc for guest use, free wifi, coffee or tea, and printing if needed. On the downside, the room was super small...good thing we were only there to sleep and mattress was not the best. overall, I would come back again and recommend the hotel […] to others. "Clean and Convenient. But Futons aren't for me..."
The hotel was ok. I liked checking in on a kiosk. It was clean and convenient to everything but I really didn't like the room. It was small, it felt like I was on a ship. The bed was weird and I would best describe like I was the 3rd in a dorm room, and I was forced to sleep on a futon. I wouldn't stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice, clean modern but small rooms hard beds."

"Cute and compact"
The Yotel is an interesting hotel in a great location. The rooms are small but cleverly arranged so all the space is used and everything you need is there. One thing to note: there is no fridge in the room. Staff was friendly. Complimentary muffins in the lounge were good - I had the almond one two days because it was so tasty - but if you want to drink […] something other than coffee it is pretty pricy. Cocktails and desserts at EastWest were okay, not spectacular. We walked all over the place because so much of what we wanted to see was close by. My 9-year-old daughter thought it was the coolest place ever. Overall, a good experience. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Modern efficiency but misses a few basics"
Young couples, singles, and socialites will love the vibe of the hotel, it is really cool. The lobby could be confusing for the non-tech minded (no counter, just kiosks), and the robotic baggage holding system was not necessary (quite frankly, it was so slow that we used the traditional service). I applaud Yotel for making a little room seem not so […] little, and I appreciate the style, but there were a few sacrifices. There was little privacy while using the toliet. There were only power outlets on one side of the bed. There were no tissues. There was one type of soup for everything. Yes, these are minor, but it added to be fairly inconvenient and embarrassing at times. That being said, I would still recommend Yotel, just understand the nature of a hotel based on being modern and efficient; it's like the Ikea of hotels. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Fun, different kind of hotel experience. The room was comfortable but small. I loved the purple lights and the vibe of the hotel. Would recommend.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Convenient location, unique atmosphere, ok hotel."
Was able to check in super early, 930 AM, that was a huge plus. Room is small but very modern and clean which was expected. Hotel has a galley on each floor with coffee machine and ice and water. Coffee machine on our floor was broken. Hotel website made it seem like there was a lively happening night life within the lobby / lounge. Very disappointing, […] nothing more than a standard hotel restaurant / bar. No room service, ordered a roast beef club and had to go downstairs to pick it up from the restaurant. Was greeted by a rude waiter or host with my food. They wouldn't charge it to my room so you have to pay separately. I think the hotel used to have more of a nightlife. The "amazing" yobot robotic luggage system that was advertised on the website, happened to be broken the day we were checking out and needed to use it. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Bricks for beds"
This hotel is in a fantastic location, close to Times Square, Hells Kitchen nightlife and dining as well as a stroll from the Highline. The rooms are nicely appointed however the beds are very uncomfortable and after a few night begin to ache! I would recommend this hotel for a quick few overnights at most, don't spend the week as I did unless you wish […] to pay for massages and sleep when you head home. "Not your boring, unusual hotel...."
Very interesting set-up. Futon-like beds are not comfortable, space confining, bathroom floors slippery -- especially when you place towel-type bath mat outside the shower. Still, bar/food excellent, wonderful shared spaces. If you are comfortable in standard cruise ship accommodations, you will be fine at the Yotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
