Had serious trouble finding the place to begin with. The small signage was not visible after dark. Night check in lady was rude. No TV. Beds were hard and tiny (barely fit me and my husband and we are not big people). Shower backed up. Room was clean and big, but didn't make up for the cons. Won't be staying here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We were in the Lee's Summit area for a baseball tournament, so unfortunately didn't get to spend much time at the hotel. The rooms are large, luxurious beds and bedding, refrigerator, very nice bathroom, . The hotel grounds are beautiful & peaceful, can't count the number of deer we saw. There are numerous buildings on the grounds and my only complaint […] would be that there are no signs. We looked for the fitness room for some time, never did find it. Hotel was in a great area, very quite. Bed was not very comfortable. If you like to watch TV this is not the place for you.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I had to stay in the older motel portion and although clean, I begin to experience so allergy type symptoms, probably due to the buildin being older and in need of a makeover. The room was clean and basic, so no complaints there, but the on site security wasn't very friendly acting when i stopped in a parking lot on ground, prior to checking in. I wouldn't […] tell anyone i know to book a room there, especially if checking in after dark, if thats the type of greeting they'll receive Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

This is the second time that I have stayed here and the service and hotel is excellent quality. Perfect for wedding guests or groups. Quiet, peaceful settings and the grounds are remarkable for walks or just sitting taking in the view. Great continental breakfast! Friendly staff.

This was my first trip to Unity Village. I went for a women's retreat. The hotel is within an easy walking distance of walking trails, chapels, a Labyrinth and beautiful gardens. Very relaxing place to visit.
"Great hotel, beautiful setting, reasonable price"

This hotel, on the grounds of Unity School of Christianity, is a nice facility built in the last few years. It was one of the first LEED-certified hotels in the U. S., designating that it meets all the standards for minimal impact on the environment. I was concerned that the requirements for LEED designation would keep me from being able to adjust the temperature in the room to my own comfort level, but that was not a concern. My sleeping room was large and well appointed, with comfortable (but high) beds, nice linens, and a large, well-lighted bathroom. It had a nice, new flat-panel TV and everything you would expect in a convention-center hotel. I only had a few minor complaints -- there was only one phone in the room, and it wasn't near the bed; and the desk chair was more of a dining-room type than the typical executive swivel chair normally found in hotels such as this. And the continental breakfast was sparse and mostly gone by 9:30. On the other hand, it was a nice surprise to find that this hotel doesn't charge sales tax -- when was the last time you've seen that? That's good for about a 15% reduction in the already reasonable room rates. All in all, a very pleasant and relaxing stay -- highly recommended!

Our group stayed at the hotel for four nights in mid-June. Wow! The grounds around the hotel were in beautiful shape and the rooms were extremely comfortable. What a peaceful place to rest for a few days! Well done, Unity Hotel!

We stayed in the Hotel part and it was the newest. They also have a motel but it looked a lot older. The buildings and landscape were very nice.....fountains, flowers, walking paths, nearby golfing. Very nice setting for indoor/outdoor activities. The continental breakfast was pretty sparse, but it was ok...hard boiled eggs, toast, fruit and nuts, coffee, juice, cereal and coffee/tea. Not much seating for breakfast unless you ate outdoors. I was kind of disappointed in the amount we paid for the room. It was nice and clean...wifi was pretty good in most places. Our room smelled stale the first day...maybe it hadn't been used recently but after running the AC, the 2nd day, I didn't notice it. The beds are high off the floor, as others have mentioned. Really, too high for senior citizens to get in bed without leaping or having a step stool. Overall, I might stay there again but only if my business was meeting there.

Was here for the Master Naturalist Conference. I found the room and facility very clean, the service was wonderful, and overall, the facility met our needs for the various indoor/outdoor activities. The room I was in did have an AC problem. It would work for a while, then seemed to bring in warm, humid air. The front desk will be reporting this problem to maintenance. They did deliver a fan to my room in the middle of the second night. The continental breakfast was okay with cereals, hard boiled eggs, toast, bagels, milk, coffee, tea and yogurt, plus apples, oranges and grapes. All in all, my stay there was very pleasant! I recommend.
"Unity Village is like heaven on earth!"

Unity Village is like heaven on earth! Absolutely lovely grounds to walk around on a beautiful day. The rooms are impeccable, brand new and clean. I love the natural sunlight that is allowed in each room. The Breakfast in the morning was sufficient to get us on the road right away. The staff was friendly & attentive. The beds are luxury but a bit high off the ground, I am 5'9" and I had to get on my tippy toes to get in it. GREAT value for the money! We had traveled the night before and stayed in a dumpy hotel in Iowa City for the same price the night before. VERY worth the money! I would definitely go again and would recommend to anyone going to that area!
"Lovely Place to Stay"

Unity Village is a beautiful and serene environment with many amenities. The rooms were beautifully simple, spacious, and immaculate. The bedding was wonderful though the beds are a bit high off the floor if you are 5'4" or under. Perhaps a step stool would be in order. The continental breakfast was a nice included convenience, but a bookstore/coffee shop is but steps away if you prefer something else. They also have accessible rooms on request. If you are there over a weekend the Sunday service in the chapel is inspiring and lively. The campus with it's gardens and fountains is beautiful if you want to take a walk. There are many areas for quiet contemplation as well as small gatherings. This was my first visit, and I would return.
"A wonderful hotel and conference center!!!"

My wife and I yesterday stayed at the Unity hotel in Lee's Summit MO. It was VERY nice quiet and nearly new. The staff was most gracious to meet all of our needs. It is on the campus of Unity church headquarters. There are many quiet places with beautiful landscaping and Mediterranean architecture that are most enjoyable for relaxing and contemplation. We HIGHLY recommend this hotel for any kind of group or retreat type function it was a BEAUTIFUL stay.

As far as non-luxury hotels go, you aren't going to get any better than this place, the rooms were extraordinarily clean and well-appointed, the beds were very comfortable, and the area around the hotel is fantastic if you want to take a walk. It's just outside of Lee's Summit, but is far enough out to be a bit woodsy- I saw deer every time I was outside. Breakfast was continental, and very good. Cons: there isn't anything close, which can be an inconvenience. Cell service was spotty, and the wifi, which is free, was a bit inconsistent. I was in the hotel, so can't speak to the related motel which is on the same property, and looks a bit less idyllic.
