"Right at the Birmingham Airport"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 1, 2012
Clean, bare necessity type of property within 100 meters of the Birmingham airport. Easy walk after a long flight. This is not the Ritz but for easy, reasonable travel, I would highly recommend. By the way, ample room within the room for two people and their luggage unlike many other airport or downtown transient properties. VERY quiet too.
"Great Highway Site"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 1, 2012
This highway property is at a Motorway Gas Stop just outside of Warwick. We found our executive Double Room very comfortable, It was spacious and the bath was super. For a fast food dinner and breakfast we went next door to the food court where there was a KFC, Burger King, 2 other and mini-market plus Starbucks. The next morning we were on our way. Interent and Free Parking made it even better.
"Great location and fun staff"Reviewed by Norman T of "Dallas" on Apr 14, 2012

"Nice stay"Reviewed by Chelsea A of "San Francisco, CA" on Apr 12, 2012
The hotel is very centrally located and has a car park (that you have to pay to park in). Wifi is available, you also pay for that. The lobby is very nice with multiple fireplaces where you can have drinks, dine, or enjoy afternoon day (prices seemed reasonable to us). Very short walk to RSC theatres, restaurants, shops, etc. The room was huge that we stayed in, not sure if that is typical, but it was nice. No complaints except they didn't really tell us we needed to pay for parking. The parking cost wasn't bad though.
"Ibis Birmingham Airport"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Mar 30, 2012
For those travelling to attend NEC, this is the best located hotel for you. With a good restaurant, bar in hotel and 24 hrs restaurant in the Airport, nothing like Ibis. Good luck..

"Holiday Inn Express Birmingham UK"
Looked like a newly built hotel, service was average, hotel was very clean and our room was the largest on our floor. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable, my son had to sleep on top of the duvet folded under him. Our bed was as comfy as you get them in hotels.
"good place to stay"
easy enough...no probs at all...
"More than worth the money"
Normally when I need just a bed overnight I unfortunately stay at Travelodges or sometimes not so bad Premier Inns but this was a completely different class for the same cost plus WiFi and breakfast were free. The hotel's only been open 5 months and in great conditions. Rooms really roomy and upmarket. No bath but a large walk in shower which suited […] me better and the bed was kings size (though made up of 2 smaller ones). Sat nav actually takes you side street but there's a hotel car park actually on Coventry Rd (£5/night). Def reccomend his place Read more

"Handy base for shopping at Bull Ring"
We had booked a family room for 1 night stop-over after a days shopping at The Bull Ring so we could go to Cadburys World on the Sunday. Odd location but staff very friendly. We were in room 510 but there was something wrong with the generator near our room which was extremely noisy. The Manager said they were fully booked but managed to move us to […] 306 but unfortunately had noisy neighbours. Our 6 year old slept through it though! Bed comfy and room very nice, bar and lounge area nice plus nice breakfast in the morning - would use this hotel again! Read more
"Holiday Inn EXpress A45"
This hotel is about 4 miles out of Birmingham and cost £12 in taxi fare. My mistake when I was booking but was a shock when we turned up at the other HI in the City. Another problem i had was cancelling the second nights stay which I had provisionally booked before we got there. The hotel cancelled the booking on arrival but I had to access the website […] to cancel the money transaction which was a big pain. Read more

"A Very Brief Stay"
I had a very brief stay at this new and well positioned hotel. Good points: very clean and fresh (as it should be considering its age) and the rooms and beds were very comfortable. Bad points: I had booked a double room but they had already allocated them all by the time I arrived (8.30pm). I was given a disabled room on the side of the hotel which […] was fine but the trafic noise from the busy main road was quite evident. Although the room was good there was no light over the wall mirror which is bizarre should you want to check how you are dressed. The car park is on the small side which may require parking in the side streets. Otherwise the hotel was generally pretty good. Read more

"Not satisfied"
The thing that made most unsatisfied was the extra charge for parking on top of what we had already paid for the room. This was never advertised, all it said was parking available. Slight dispute when first arrived and about payment, told the receptionist money already taken by hotels.com and she kept telling me not the case and would be taken at the […] end of the stay, eventually asked someone who agreed with us. Asked for extra coffee as only one in the room but that was taken away by chamber maids during the next day. With all this ruined the stay for us. The room and standard of hotel were of excellent quality due to being a brand new hotel. Read more
"Holiday Inn Express Birmingham - South A45"
This hotel had only been open 21 days when we visited (on our way back home from Cadbury World) It still smelt new, the reception and all other staff were extremely helpful and very cheerful. The room was very nice, but the only downfall was that the room was not big enough for the 4 of us, it had a double bed, a pull out bed and a baby cot in a room […] which I would only have put 2 people in, but for the money we paid for the evening we could not complain. The breakfast was great with warm food as well as continental. Well, well worth the stay over. Read more
"Cheap and new"
A really good looking hotel, brand new. The service in the reception was really good, but the restaurant was a tragedy. We where a 13 persons staying there for the weekend, and 6 of us desided to eat in the restaurant at the hotel. We where there for a bootcamp, so we where starving. After 45 minutes waiting for the food, we had to ask for our meal […] (we where the only guest in the restaurant). When we finally got it, my pasta was tasteless, and the potions very tiny. This was not good, but that was the only bad thing i could say. So my tip is, stay there, its cheap, clean and have a good reception, but go to eat next door at a great indian restaurant where you bring your own beer :) Read more
