"Cheap, close to Boardwalk, smoking rooms available"

Pretty bad hotel! I booked this hotel because it was cheap, walking-distance to the Boardwalk, and they had smoking rooms available. (A lot of hotels I looked into didn't allow smoking on the premises at all.) Even after confirming that I had a reserved a smoking room, when I checked-in, they gave me a non-smoking room. When I told them I had reserved […] a smoking room, they told me there were none available. After the clerk made a phone call, she walked me around the side of the hotel, behind a gate to a sketchy hotel room. It didn't look great, but I took it anyway. It was pretty gross! Missing window coverings, stains, etc. In the morning, there was a lot of construction noise. It was hilariously ridiculous. Check-out time was 11:00. I received a knock at the door around 10:00 from someone asking if I was going to be checking out or staying another day. I told her I was going to check out before the check out time. Maybe 15 minutes later, I received a call from the front desk asking me the same question. Ridiculous. Overall, awful hotel. Read more
