Room was small. No bath tub just shower. TV was a first edition 17" iMac with a TV converter. Served a purpose as an over night stay but would consider elsewhere for a longer stay. Breakfast was OK. Not much different from a nice Premier Inn only double the cost. Hotel was clean.

This hotel was in a perfect location right at a bus stop. The room was a bit small for American standards (no place to do yoga) but it was comfy. I stayed for a week and the staff was always cleaning the building. It was such a nice environment! The food was really good and the chef was always around.

Well managed hotel - very friendly and accommodating staff. Food choice was somewhat limited, but adequately compensated by a variety of options in the city which is about a couple of miles away.

My girlfriend and I stayed for a few days while visiting friends and family and were very pleased. The "hotel" is a brand new apartment complex with a small reception just inside the entrance. Rooms were big, bright and well appointed. Location is fantastic, right next to the Arndale Centre. The only complaint about the entire place was that the sofa-bed wasn't the comfiest. Will definitely stay here again!

The Alpine Lodge guest house was as near perfection in everyway. The owner Jean was friendly helpfull and pleasant to talk to. The guest house was midway between the higher and lower town of Buxton. "Very convenient for both upper and lower Buxton"
I highly recommend this hotel. It was as good as all other reviewers had stated and my room was spotlessly clean and finished to a high standard; as was the bathroom. A lovely guest house! The room was immaculate, comfortable and well-equipped, the breakfasts excellent and Jean, the hostess, friendly and informative without being intrusive. Those less mobile should note the house is up a hill but apart from that it's excellently sited with the town centre, Opera House and Gardens only a short walk away.
