We stayed in Panama 11 days and at 4 different hotels. And this was bad, they almost caused us to miss our flight and really didn't care! If it wasn't for a price gauging taxi driver we would have missed our plane. This place is not worth the price!

The hotel looks new and is attractive and comfortable if not overly luxurious, but perfect for my overnight stay. The restaurant offers a good selection of choices. Beware the airport taxis! A man with an official ID took me to a van charged me $15 for the fare, kept my twenty and slammed the door. Only when I got to the hotel did the driver tell me […] that was the man's "tip" for getting me the taxi, and the fare was still $15. Pretty standard Courtyard fare: clean, comfy, helpful staff. But... NO AIRPORT SHUTTLE! What are they thinking? And taxis to / from the airport to the hotel are a flat fee of $12 for one person and $20 for two or more.

The rooms where clean and nice but the service was terrible! We went down to have dinner at 10 after a tireing flight in the afternoon. The reastaurant had only one table occupied and it still took the waitress a few minutes to bring to us the menues. A little lateer she took out order of food and drinks, simple stuff to make, and it took her 40 minutes […] to bring one starter plate. At the 55 minute mark she brough our drinks and 20 minutes later she brough the two other starters. An hour and 40 minutes after she took our order she brought two out of the three entrees. By the hour and 50 minute wait we were too tired so we decided to leave without having the third entree because it was just too much waiting for such a simple three people order. Read more

Entire hotel was clean, modern, and welcoming. Hotel staff especially helpful as proficient in several languages. Pool beautiful and clean (but perhaps post a sign where to obtain towels.) It is situated in a middle to lower class part of the city, not so safe for walking around and exploring. I heard all of the conversations the guests next door to me where having, when they went to the bathroom, and when they showered. We found the Courtyard Marriott to be one of the best hotels in the airport area of Panama City. We are looking forward to staying here again. The service, complimentary breakfast, comfort of the room and location was top notch. My husband was very happy to stay here after some of the other less than wonderful hotels we had visited.

Located next to MetroMall in Panama City, this brand new hotel offers all the amenities. Breakfast was included with the room. The decor and comfort were first class. The only improvement would be a shuttle to the airport, which would probably increase their business.

For some reason they are under-staffed. I arrived at 11pm with 3 suitcases and there were nobody to help me with the luggage. From taxi to counter, from counter to room I had to carry my own luggage. The hotel is brand new. It is clean and comfortable but pricey. The hotel staff was very friendly & helpful. We had trouble figuring out how to keep the air conditioner cool. We called the front desk & they sent someone who explained that the wiring was backwards. We had to turn on the heat in order to cool off the room. The hotel is adjacent to Panama City's MetroMall which is a large new Mall with over 350 stores on 3 levels rivaling any Mall in the States for variety and selection. Our only complaint with the Hotel was their Dining Room staff. They did not return to check on our satisfaction and if we wanted anything we had to go out of our way to attract their attention. The hotel is right next to Metromall and Los Pueblos shopping center. My only regret is that we only stayed there for one night. We were traveling from the city of David with my wife and my two kids. It is very close to the Tocomen airport. I loved the hotel and the location.

We chose the Courtyard Marriott because we wanted to do some shopping at Metromall, which is right next door to the hotel, and we also were picking up a friend at Tocumen airport, about 10 minutes away. Our room was well-appointed and clean, and the king-size bed was very comfortable, with a cozy comforter and good pillows. There were lamps by the […] bed, and face towels and washcloths in the bathroom, things that some hotels in Panama don't supply, believe it or not. We had dinner at the hotel the night of our stay. Both the salmon and the cheeseburger we had were excellent, and reasonably priced. But one thing that annoys me about restaurants in Panama is that most of them don't bring bread, or anything else, to munch on before your meal comes. I thought the Courtyard might be different, but it wasn't. The buffet breakfast the next morning, which was included in our room rate, was also excellent. There were almost too many items to choose from! We were very pleased with almost every aspect of our stay. My only suggestion is to have two of each type of coffee pods in the room each day, not just one each of regular and decaffienated. All in all, though, there isn't much to complain about at the Courtyard Metromall. Read more

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a laundry room located inside for self service which was very helpful. The hotel resturant was just OK. There is a huge mall right next door to the hotel with a food court that offers a large selection of resturants and fast food selections, we had Taco Bell one night and Chinese the next night […] and it was very good. There is also a Bennigins located on the lower floor. There is a large grocery store and pharmacy located in the lower floor that has everything you would find at an American style grocery store, We spent 3 nights there before flying to David,Panama for 10 nights , then we will be flying back into Panama City and staying again at the Courtyard by Marriott Panama City Metromall before catching a flight to Belize. I would recomend this hotel when staying in Panama City. The cab fare from the airport was about $ 25.00 U.S. We did not venture out into the neighborhood so I can't say for sure how safe the area is. Read more

It is only a $15 taxi drive (fixed rate) to the hotel and the hotel is located near a very large mall with restaurants, shops and movie theatres.
