A place to stay, but not really the best value.
While far from the worst option in Cartagena, I wasn't really impressed with this hotel given it's price. It was once obviously a very nice hotel, but hasn't been well maintained - the furniture is really dinged up, the cannon fountains on the pool aren't working, etc. The pool had a not insignificant amount of bird droppings on the surface. The breakfast buffet wasn't very good to begin with, and the service was really lacking - we had to first point out there were no more plates, then ask for coffee cups, then ask that they make some more eggs because the serving dish was empty. The only thing that happened without prompting was them asking us for our room number when we arrived. On the plus side, our room was quiet, the a/c worked, the bathroom was clean, there was hot water if desired, and if you want to stay in the Bocagrande area you'll be right in the middle of it.

Unpleasent Visit
Was not the same pictures as displayed on this website. Hotel blended in with other buildings on the street. Hard to find. WIFI in the room was terrible, had better signal sitting by the pool and lobby area (Bugs and other people passing by and those using the pool) vice having the comfort and privacy in my room. Hotel had a bar that was never open (or at least during my stay it was closed.) The view from the room was terrible, the building behind my hotel was being worked on so my view consisted of a shamble of a building as well as contractors looking into my room, Had to keep shades pulled most of the time

Not good.
Pretty bad. Pool is unusable, its basically in the lobby. Theres no sun. They decide to run the very loud filtration system at 7 in the morning when people are sleeping. The breakfast is sad. Fruit is good, but the same eggs and toast every day gets boring. Theres no do not disturb system for the doors. Many of the rooms have windows that lead to darkness, meaning no natural light. I was lucky and got a room that had a decent amount of natural light, but only because I asked to be switched. Theres a large hotel being constructed directly behind the Millenium, I wasn't bothered too much by the noise, but its there. There was a lamp beside my bed that kept shocking me. I only had my room cleaned once, but the new sheets had small blood stains on them. I say, if you can see the blood, you should probably not use the sheets anymore, or at least put the bloody part at the foot of the bed. The rack rate here is something ridiculous like $110 usd. I only stayed here because I got a deal, and I still regret it. That said, the location is great. Its right by the beach, and the people working there are nice. I think its just a matter of bad management and lack of attention to detail.
