Loved the hotel. You get what you pay for but great staff and breakfast. The food in the restaurant is very good!

We love this resort. It is a little older, but it was clean and friendly. We were only going to stay a few days, but ended up spending the week there. I would highly recommend this hotel. The little store across the street from the lobby bakes fresh bread throughout the day. It is wonderful. The hotel is also reasonably close to the town of Ciutadello for great nightlife. There is a bus stop right next to the property.

Service was great from the front desk to food, the pool is too restrictive about the caps if they would allow you to swim without the caps we would havenothing bad to say.

My husband and I spent 10 days in Spain and by far, the 3 days in Menorca at Sant Joan de Binissaida. The landscape, the animals, service and style will be a memory we will never forget. Thank you!

we stayed here for a week on an all inclusive basis. The hotel is nice and clean and the room was large and well maintained. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful and the drinks were generous. Unfortunately the food quality was very poor and often cold. I think this may be partly that the hotel is aimed at german guests and the food is aimed towards them but we found it very bland and unappetising. Although we went all inclusive we only ate 2 evening meals at the hotel and ended up spending about £200 eating out after the 2nd meal we tried there and the meat was too tough to cut and cold and the so called chicken nuggets were grey/brown on the inside and tasted nothing like chicken.The other main problem is some of the other guests. They were mainly german and some were really rude, (im disabled and walk with a stick and I was actually pushed out of the way by a large german man to get to the buffet) and they also had no control over their children. There was children running up and down the corridors at all hours screaming and shouting, they were riding up and down in the lifts and pushing all the buttons and chucking things in the pool and their parents were nowhere in sight. The staff spoke mainly spanish and german with little english and all the entertainment, the kids club and even the menu in the restaurant are in german so although the hotel is nice it is not really suitable for english people who dont speak either some spanish or german.

"Club ciudadela: lleno de hormigas"
Hemos pasado una semana de vaciones en Menorca preocupados por las hormigas. El primer día tuvimos que cambiarnos de habitación porque la terraza estaba invadida y el olor a matainsectos era insoportable. En el apartamento nuevo nos preocupábamos de dejar todo bien limpio para que no aparecieran en tropel porque todos los días veíamos 10 por ahí rondando. […] Lo peor fue la última noche estaban en nuestra cama. Se pueden imaginar después de llegar cansados de estar todo el día fuera ponte a luchar contra ellas. Por supuesto recepción a esas horas estaba cerrado con lo que no había nadie con quien poder hablar ni nada que pudiéramos hacer mas que dormir en el sofá incómodo y pequeño. No pegamos ojo en nuestra última noche pensando en que las hormigas pudieran cambiar de camino y venirse al sofá con nosotros. Pero es que el colmo fue cuando vamos al día siguiente a recepción y no hay nadie para atendernos correctamente sino un señor mayor en bermudas a quien le habían dejado encargado hacer nuestra salida (no sabía ni poner la tarjeta en el datáfono). Se pueden imaginar el enfado monumental que teníamos y la única respuesta que recibimos por teléfono por parte de alguien encargado del hotel fue que era la época de las hormigas y que estaban por todas partes y que todos los hoteles estaban igual. Y yo me pregunto ¿quien va de vacaciones esperando dormir y compartir habitación con cientos de hormigas? ¿No se supone que si tienes un problema de este tipo intentas soloucionarlo lo antes posible de la manera que sea? Si en cierta época del año tienes que pasarte por las habitaciones todos los días pues entoncescomprometete a dar un servicio de acuerdo con el precio. Además de todo esto tampoco había hojas de reclamación disponibles, quedaron en mandármelas al día siguiente de la salida y después de 3 días aún estoy esperándola.Un vergüenza, la verdad que ha sido el peor alojamiento en el que hemos estado con mucha diferencia tanto por el problema de las hormigas como el pasoti Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
