"Kingston Hotel Bed and Breakfast"
We had a great time staying here. If you are looking for something modern or fancy, you might not be happy with it. We had a tiny room with a tiny bed and a shared bathroom down the hall. It was pretty much exactly what we expected. Very European. Everything was clean, but the towels could use some bleach! The staff was very nice, the price was very […] reasonable, and the location was perfect. We took the train up and walked to the hotel. On our second day, we walked up to Stanley Park and had a great day there. That evening we walked to the BC Place Stadium to see Paul McCartney. There are also a lot of good places to eat withing walking distance, including the Kingston restaurant right next door. Breakfast was coffee and a toasted bagel. It was perfect for us. If you are not fussy, and are looking for an inexpensive place to sleep, this is a great choice. We will definitely return! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The jackhammers outside my window before 8 am were a shock. Nothing the hotel can do about that. Was quiet the rest of the time. Will stay with you again when taking the train from the US.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Ok for a short stay."
The staff were excellent, the location great. The rooms very small, the double bed very small and has shared bathrooms. In regards to shared bathrooms, it worked out ok as there were several of them. Breakfast was a toasted bagel and cup of tea. The overall stay was ok as it was just for 1 night. It was good value for the money paid.Genuine Expedia guest review
Lked the European style.....no TVs. The shared restrooms reminded us our honeymoon in Austria. Personnel was friendly, helpful, and gracious.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not was was expected"
I made this reservation for my son who was leaving the US to go to school in Canada for a year. We live in small town and i was looking for a place that would be homey yet in downtown Vancouver. He said his room was very small with a single bed, said it would be a double and the hotel smells quite musty and old. Unless it was missed, there didn't seem […] to be a common area where he could watch TV or relax. Unfortunately, I missed the info about a construction site, and it started at 6 a.m., but that was my oversight. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Tiny room but great for a short stay. Absolutely central location with great things going on around downtown. Clean - the shared bathrooms are spotless and very nice, the hotel and hallways and breakfast area are all well kept. 5/5 especially for the price!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A hidden gem"
A real experience. Hotel was built in 1910 so is only one double bed, no air conditioning and a shared shower but great value for a couple. Came with a continental breakfast which was a bonus. Provides free in room wifi and a laundry which also helps keep the costs down. Location is right in the shopping area and closer to the historic parts of the […] town than the big name hotels. Currently has major construction going on both sides so get woken if you want to sleep in late during mid-week. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great Hotel to visit vancouver"
This hotel is just in downtown. The place is simple but has everything you need. Breakfast is perfect and the staff is very nice. During the day the hotel is a bit noisy from 7.30AM because of the works and excavators near, but at 4.00PM it stopsGenuine Expedia guest review
"Center of downtown"
This hotel is right in the middle of downtown and not far from the airport train as well. Our room was clean. The continental breakfast was toatsted bagels, coffee, orange juice, and orange slices. The hotel staff were very nice. It may not be your thing if you don't like sharing a bathroom with the floor, but I was able to manage for a few days! Overall […] I would definitely stay here again! "A So, So Hotel"
It was OK for the price, but the continental breakfast was a real disappointment. It could hardly be called a breakfast.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient and clean for simple traveling"
If you get a standard room, do not be surprised that the room is rather small (13' x 8') with a small sink and mirror; a small, built-in closet; a small desk and chair, and a full-size bed. There's not a lot of room but it is quite comfy and clean as it receives daily care. The breakfast part of B&B includes bagel or toast, juice or coffee, and some […] cut up fruit. Although a standard room includes sharing a bathroom with the rest of the floor, the bathrooms are constantly cleaned. I would give a tip to all travelers staying at this B&B to leave the door of the bathroom open after you have used it as we found ourselves waiting a lot of time for people to get out when in reality no one was there and we were too shy to knock. After a while, we all started leaving the door semi-open to not cause others unnecessary wait. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"PETIT CACHET - LOVED IT!!"
I so enjoyed the European style Bed & Breakfast. Very simple, clean, quiet, in the center of it all and very reasonnably priced. Will definitely return. So glad I found this place!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Small, but good"
Small hotel with shared bathrooms (two on our floor), but a clean and good place. Close to everything in downtown and easy to get parking.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"You get what you pay for..."
We got a room prebooked on the 3d floor. There is one bathroom and a men's shower for the entire floor which are about 10 rooms. Needless to say the bathrooms are always occupied. We also did not have air in the room and it was very uncomfortable. The view of the room was a construction site which started to make noise at 6am. The room is tiny and the […] bed is 3/4 full. If you don't mind all these conveniences, the price is right. The lady night of our stay we slept at the Victorian which for 25 dollars extra got so much more- great breakfast and beautiful cool rooms. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wonderful Euro-style hotel...highly recommend"
We were very pleased with our stay at the Kingston in Vancouver. The hotel was extremely clean, the service was exemplary, and the location could not have been better. We were only half a block from a grocery store and from a variety of restaurants. Very convenient to shopping, also. Breakfast was pleasant and tasty. We will stay at the Kingston again […] if the opportunity arises. We were there for a total of 6 nights...before and after our cruise to Alaska. Great hotel. Love the small hotel atmosphere. Also, just in case you are concerned about the bathrooms being down the hall...no worries. There was only one time when we had to wait for access to the shower. Wonderful experience and great price, too. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect room to sleep in; best location possible"
Great little room with a desk, night table, sink, and mini-closet. Very small but perfect because we were barely in it. Didn't enjoy sharing the shower with the other rooms but it was worth it for the price to be in the middle of the downtown action on Canada Day weekend. Breakfast consists of a bagel or toast, coffee and orange juice. Just enough for […] a great start to the day. Good service from the front desk staff. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This is actually not as bad as I expected. Basically, I got what I paid for. You can't get any cheaper in the downtown Vancouver area. I would recommend to my friends who don't want to spend too much and get a good location in the city.Genuine Expedia guest review
Small hotel, clean, quiet, well-maintained, helpful and well-informed staff, comfortable small room. Had no problem getting into shared toilets, showers, or spa when we needed to. Adjacent pub was pleasant. Would stay here again. Great central downtown location, near transportation hubs, walkable to train station.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great value, location, I'd stay again!"
Much nicer than I expected - nice decor, updated, free wifi, good location, nice staff. The room was small but adequate (like a NYC room), multiple bathrooms to choose from, a sink in room-convenient. Only disappointment was that the sauna is open only from 11-8 because the room is also one of the shared bathrooms.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"recomended only if your travelling alone..."
location was perfect, but Vancouver is a city where you can get everywhere very easily by bus or skytrain, so I feel it didn´t make much difference being in downtown and paying for a tiny room, where you don´t want to be at all, the matress was old and uncomfortable, I didn´t sleep well, and you can hear everything next room and hallway. towells where […] old, same as sheets and furniture. "Great downtown location at an affordable price"
Looking to stay in Vancouver BC and want to be downtown but not pay big hotel prices then this is the place. The room is cozy but I'm not the type to spend my vacation in a hotel so it was perfect for me. Would stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice Hotel but I had no idea I would be sharing a bathroom! It was not too much of a hassle but my booking did not indicate this. Overall it's a convenient and nice hotel close to cruise port in Vancouver. The local area leaves something to be desired but overall a good experience...so long as you wish to share a bathroom.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was a nice different experience. Staff was friendly & helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great for what we needed it for."
We just needed a place to overnight before boarding an Alaska cruise and the Kingston hotel was just the ticket--inexpensive, clean, near many restaurants, and within walking distance of the cruise terminal. Shared baths (2 on our floor) were fine and we didn't have to wait to use them. Complimentary robes and slippers were a nice touch. The staff is […] friendly and helpful. On the minus side, our room was VERY small (much smaller than our stateroom on the ship, as it turns out) and the bed was uncomfortably soft. But for 1 night, it would be hard to find a better deal. I hadn't looked at the hotel website too carefully when I booked it... I was just aiming for something inexpensive. When I arrived I was reminded (told) that there were shared bathrooms. It wasn't what I expected, but it worked out well. There were multiple bathrooms and (individual) showers and they were never occupied when I needed one. There weren't […] TVs in the rooms, which took some getting used to. There was some construction nearby while we were there, but I'm sure that won't be an issue for long... also, it sounds like they're building a very environmentally-friendly building in the demolished area, and it will have a self-sustaining indoor garden, which would be cool to check out if you stay after April 2012. The staff were Incredibly friendly and helpful--they gave great suggestions for sight-seeing, and they provided umbrellas when it was rainy (or looked like it might be rainy). We were in town to watch the Portland Timbers beat the Vancouver Whitecaps and take a mini-vacation. We stayed for 4 nights at the Kingston. "Stay elsewhere (unless u have tight budget)"
Good things: location (one block from metro) and three blocks from port; small sauna; OK price; fairly clean. Bad things: No shower in the room; no TV. Only couple bathrooms and showers to share on the floor. Rooms are tiny. Sink has two faucets that cannot be turn silmutaneously (either hot water or cold). Breakfast very poor. Fairly noizy. "No bathroom in the room"
When we ordered the room we understood there will be one toilet and bathroom for two rooms. We thought it will be no problem to share it with our friends. When we arrived we found out there is just one toilet and bathroom for 15 rooms. This was not what we expected for our vacations. The explanations in expedia site doesn't state it clearly. Rooms also […] are very small. All other features are OK and price also is better than other hotels. But you should be ready to live with these inconveniences. "Kingston Hotel B&B - Downtown Vancouver"
Ok, this is the place to stay if you want a very inexpensive room and don't plan to spend any time whatsoever in your hotel. It is what it is.. the room is very small, but a clean and comfortable bed. That is it. The hotel was clean, well maintained, no frills. Loved it for what it was. Not a honeymoon destination!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Highly recommended if you are trying to save some money, since all hotels in Vancouver close to downtown are pretty expensive. The location is the main reason why we would stay at this hotel again. Very close to anywhere you need to go downtown, easy access to public transit and steps away from many restaurants, coffee shops and convenient stores/mini-markets. […] The bedroom is pretty small as well as the bed, but it is comfy enough since we go there just to sleep, not really to hang out. Overall the place is clean and the continental breakfast is decent, just the necessary to get you going in the morning and it is included. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"One night before boarding"
The bed was small. as I expected, but it was also hard, which I didn't expect. Two thin people fit on the 3/4 full, although the headboard was for a full and the hotel would be well-advised to put in a full size, comfortable bed. The room overall was about the size of a walk-in closet. Breakfast was simple but adequate. We could walk to the ship, which […] was the reason I booked the room. Reasonable value for the low price. "Oasis in the Inner City"
Great bread and breakfast option right dowtown! Real european vibe. Very inexpensive. Rooms a little small and no TV but who needs one in beautiful British Columbia! Great staff and super clean with quaint decor. Pay more if u want a private washroom.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice and convenient"
Great hotel exactly as described online. Friendly staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not a hotel"
The name of this place is misleading. It's actually a hostel/backpackers. Rooms and beds are tiny, and you share ONE combo bathroom with an entire floor. The staff are friendly and the place clean, but don't even bother taking a car. You'll be ripped off blind for parking fees.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great place downtown. Close to everything !!"
It was a great stay ! Thanks. I was there for a conference.Genuine Expedia guest review
The room I got is on the Third floor, facing Richmond Avenue, and there was a strange smell from the carpet in the room. The location is excellent, and the shared washroom was clean. The rooms can use a renovation. If not for the smell it would have been OK.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great Location, clean rooms friendly staff, free breakfast (bagels and toast, coffee and tea and orange juice) yeah there is a shared bathroom but my boyfriend and i stayed there for 2 nights and it was fine.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Place to stay in Vancouver"
It's a nice place to stay but you get what you pay for. Sharing a bathroom was not a major concern, they were cleaned in the morning. Central location which met all of my requirements.Genuine Expedia guest review
Great value for money and conveniently located. The walls are thin so you can hear other guests. Very clean rooms and bathrooms. Basic breakfast, but still very good. We will stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Stayed several times, nice place to sleep"
I don't care too much about the hotel amenities. When I'm traveling, I want to be out doing stuff. If you don't mind sharing a bathroom, this is a fabulous little hotel. Super clean, mostly comfy (small beds for 2 people) and a nice little breaky to get you on your way in the morning. I've stayed here a couple of times and will do again!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Wonderful old world boutique hotel."
Charming boutique hotel with lots of vintage charm. Rooms are small but that fits with the original age of hotel. Reasonably priced considering it's situated right in downtown Vancouver close to aw everything. By the way, great pub attached to hotel as well as a beautiful inner patio. Worth a look.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect for what I needed. Cheap and comfortable"
No complaints. I would stay again. I was first skepital on the seperate bathroom, but the sink in my room was more than enough to make the stay comfortableGenuine Expedia guest review

"nice and comfortable"
I spent a very nice time in the hotel, very kind people, cooperative . The place clean and calm and the surroundings are amazing. I highly recommend this hotelGenuine Expedia guest review
The breakfast a slim offering of a bagel, coffee and one small portion of orange juice. Not what I had hoped for in a place that advertises as a bed and breakfast.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
You get privacy and a place to sleep for a great price. If you're actually into seeing the city and won't spend hours in your room, this is my number one choice in the city for value and location. Great staff as well!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel, great location"
This historic hotel has been nicely maintained and upgraded to make it a very comfortable place to stay. It is quiet, has comfortable beds, rooms include everything you could need (including bathrobes), and breakfast is included. The lobby is locked after 11 pm (the desk staff let you in). Breakfast is simple but nicely presented and the coffee is great. […] The only draw backs are that some of the rooms have shared bathrooms and the rooms with private baths only have double befs. The hotel calendar summarizes nicely: this is the Best Budget Boutique B&B hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
