"Perfect hotel and staff"
This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in hundreds of five star hotels across the world. The attention to detail is amazing. They assign u a care taker who is always there for you. She even can go with you on local trips to help with sites and translating. The food is simply out of this world and the room is heavenly. This was […] the most relaxing and fun vacation for our family In a long time. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
I have to tell you I was a little worried when we booked this stay. From experience if place is named "dream villa" then it usually isn't. In this case the name fits. What you see on the website is what you get. Rooms are amazing. All of our pics look like stuff you see on Pinterest. Staff was amazing and it felt like they were there just for us the […] entire stay. Impossible to name one standout as they were all ready to help at all times. One of the concierges is aptly named Siri. Location is perfect if you just want to spend some time to get away from it all... It is away from it all. However, we could not find a reason to go anywhere else. Food was amazing. A bit pricy for Thailand but still about half of what comparable meals would cost here in DC. The daily breakfast buffet should be called a daily gourmet brunch. My favorite part was the honeycomb dripping fresh honey. The beach was okay, but again there was never any reason to leave the private two level pool, waterfall, hot tub and outdoor sala. Spa prices were in line with other high end spas, but yet again it was like having our own personal spa as they were always ready to accommodate. Can't wait to get back to that side of the world again thanks. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A rare high end property in Thailand"
There are many properties in Thailand that are touted as 5 stars. Sadly, most do not live up to their billing and thus leave you feeling frustrated and at bit ripped off. Maikhao Dream Villa Resort and Spa is on of the few exceptions. From the moment you arrive and are greeted by the staff, to your firsts steps into your spacious and modern villa, […] you know this place is different and your stay will be a memorable one. "Resort in Paradise"
On the quiet side of the island of Phuket (who knew that there WAS a quiet side?) about an hour from the party beaches, so be forewarned about that. But only 15 minutes from the airport. But more importantly a beautiful resort in a beautiful location with really excellent staff and good food. Need I say more? I highly recommend this spot for couples, […] families or anyone who just needs to relax in paradise. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Beautiful property. The rooms are absolutely amazing. Communication was a real issue though. What good is a private butler if they don't speak english?Genuine Expedia guest review
Great Beach and very nice villas; great place to relax, very spaciousGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Ein Traum ..."
Die Villen sind einfach unglaublich. Weiträumig, sehr gut ausgestattet - man will überhaupt nicht mehr ausziehen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert.Genuine Expedia guest review
飯店，食物，海邊都令人滿意。唯獨交通很差，飯店說沒有辦法叫計程車，只能用當地的黑車。費用非常的高！下一次我還會想要入住，但是我會租車吧！Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Just backed from my holiday & am very eager to share my experience with everyone! Was there with my friends; a total of 3 families including myself. We booked the 3 bedrooms villa, the first moment all of us went in, all had the same reaction; WOAH, so nice lehs, omg!!!! I'm very particular about the place I stay when I'm gg on a holiday & this villa is really nice. Really reasonable price with the quality I get! Service was perfect from the beginning till the end. Had a feeling of being treated like a VIP! It was an amazing stay cation! In room dining food is also not bad & the spa is clean. The few bad point about this villa is their tap water which turns out yellowish brown, the rain shower in the master bedroom is not strong & the doors are poorly maintain which makes it hard to close and open. But overall is still a perfect staycation & perfect for couples, families & friends! :)

"Most Relaxing Holiday"

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Maikhao Dream Villa. We stayed in the two bedroom villa which afforded an enormous amount of space with beautiful surrounds and appointments. The staff were very attentive from pick up at the airport till departure. The restaurant was nice, and as we were enjoying relaxing so much, we were pleased to stay close by for meals anyway. The private pool was great, but we still felt a sense of privacy within the ground of the small resort. The spa services were also fantastic and i felt reasonably priced as far as spa resorts go. If you are after a holiday where you can totally relax and unwind - this is the place to go! I am greatly looking forward to my next stay. Thank you.
"Marvelous but remote resort"

We travelled In a group of six and stayed in a three bedroom villa. It was huge and spacious. There aren't many residents so we can be really noisy at night and not disturbing the neighbors. The private pool is wonderful. There are two living rooms and kitchens but the bad point is kitchenware is not provided so even we were given a very nice kitchen we weren't be able to cook even some simple instant noodles. The resort is really far from the city centre (almost 45-60min car ride to patong neach) that it's a must to rent a car. There aren't any restaurants or shops nearby too. The beach behind the resort is really close but it's too rough to swim. There is a large common pool in the hotel for you to swim if the private pool is too small for you. So overall it was a pleasant stay in the hotel.
"Perfect quiet getaway"

I spent a quick 4D3N trip here with my sister in May 2014. IF your aim is to spend time away from the loud city, some quiet peaceful time, this is the place to be. It is secluded, quiet and serene. There was even a point of time where there were barely 5 people on the beach. The food is a little pricey, so is the spa services, but you can easily get these at the small village/market nearby (10mins away with free shuttle from the hotel). All in all, I had the perfect time de-stressing here.

1. Villa is amazing - Very Spacious and very beautiful and is really a dream villa. 2. Breakfast is perfect. The variety ,the quality and the HOSPITLAITY too good ( Specially to mention Mr Angelo at Leelavadee Restaurant. 3. The outside pool is big and very nice to use . 4. The staff is nice and were very generouse to give us complimentary transfers from and to the hotel to and from the airport. 5. The beach is perfect - like in pictures. Its a private beach of the hotel and most of the time it a beach of your own. Cons: 1. The beach has not too many attractions - No bar on the beach. No water sport facilities . No life Guard. 2. The Villa is a bit far from Phuket Town and shopping cannot be done any time as you wish 3. The deluxe room should have shades covering the Balcony , if rains everything will be wet and cannot sit outside
"Nice resort but rough beach"

We stayed for 4 nights at the Maikhao Dream Resort Phuket and had a nice relaxing time. Got upgraded to a two bedroom beach front villa which was stunning and huge for three people. The villa was elegantly furnished. A well equipped kitchen for those who wanted to cook. The sala and pool area was very nice that’s where we spent most of our time. Breakfast was nice but not outstanding. We had dinner at the resort one night and the food was tasty and enjoyable. There was only one restaurant at the resort so we went out to different restaurants to try - two buffet dinners at the nearby JW Marriott hotel which was good value and one night at the sister resort Natai but was average. The service overall was excellent. Staff were warm, friendly and attentive like most Thai resorts. We checked out their sister resort Natai but felt the Phuket one was much nicer. Two of us had the special spa deal - 2 hours of massage & body scrub which was nice and good value. One big problem for us was the beach which was extremely rough. Tried to go to the beach twice but both times only lasted 5 minutes because the surf was so strong and kept knocking us over. This explained why life jackets were kept in side cupboard in each villa. Saw some hotel guests actually put on the life jackets just to get in to the water. This could not be fun! If your priority is to swim in the sea, sit and relax or build sand castles on the beach, play in the sea water or go kayaking then perhaps Maikhao is not the right resort.
To all TripAdvisor followers. Let me help you out here: Please note: You need to rent a car if you want to see Phuket and not just stay at the hotel, which is true I think for any hotel in Phuket unless you enjoy to stay only in crowded Patong and see nothing else of the island. Pros: 1. Villa is amazing - huge (650 m2 for the 3 bedrooms) very beautiful and is really a dream villa. 2. Breakfast is perfect. The variety and the quality. 3. The outside pool is big and very nice to use especially the fact that you don't have too many screaming kids all around you. When we were there it was like another private pool for us. Maybe because all villas has 2 private pool and most people prefer to use those on a regular basis. No water sport facilities except for one small Kayak (which is free to use). No life Guard. 2. The battler (Beer) that was promised as our assistant during our stay was hardly there. We saw him maybe once or twice during our stay. So disappointment on this issue. 3. Some of the staff English is very poor. I think they should hire employees with perfect English that can understand what you say and not pantomime everything so they understand.
"A BIT ISOLATED"
04/11/14 Graham H Grays Thurrock, United Kingdom
We had a three bedroom villa. It was huge and very well appointed with an excellent pool that was fed by a cascade from the two pools on the first floor. The restaurant serves an excellent breakfast and evening meals. The beach is not suitable for small children as the surf is too strong. To enjoy what Phuket has to offer a car is essential and provided you are prepared to drive 20 to 30 minutes you can find excellent restaurants, shops and beaches. Banana Beach is only 20 minutes away and is the nicest on the island, although a bit difficult to get to as the only access is by boat or by a fairly steep unmade path from the roadside. There are a couple of small shops and a local restaurant in the village, that is a five minute drive. Had no problems with rats but the big brown beetles that drop from the trees at dusk are a bit of a nuisance if you are dining al fresco!
"Too expensive and too secluded"
04/06/14 giki2379 Israel
we had a 3 bedrooms villa with 2 pools. The Villa is huge and the pools are really nice BUT: the Villa smells like a museum, something we later identified as a small of furniture that haven't been used for a long long time. There is absolutely nothing around- no restaurateurs within a decent distance, no stores, no attractions etc. You must drive for every little thing and there is one taxi in front of the resort that charges ridiculous amounts of money. almost everything you are looking for is extra charge which is a bit disappointing when you pay so much money- i would at least expect to get laundry services, new capsules of coffee or drinks at the pool. The pool looked deserted, there was no one there expect for us and the pool bar was closed. The water in the shower was so strong that my child cried when i tried to bath him. The hotel restaurants is very expensive compared to Thai standards and also compared to our hotel in Bangkok, we tried 2 Italian dishes and were disappointed. In short- this is not the place for you unless you are a movie star wanting to get away from civilization and not get a taste of the real Thailand...
