Following a cruise, we decided to stay an extra day in Santiago. This hotel has free shuttle to and from the airport. However, it is in an industrial area, so there is little local to see. Through the hotel, we arranged a tour of Santiago. The cab driver was pleasant, accommodating, and knowledgeable, The price was fair as well. Overall, we were pleased with the hotel and its free buffet breakfast, the staff, and our experience.

We had just one night in Santiago - but Le Reve was great for us. First, it's very convenient from the metro / subway (50mins from the airport; 10mins from Plaza de Armas). Second, the surrounding area is great for relaxing / dinner. There are lots of options. Third, the hotel staff was very accommodating (we checked-in very late at night and checked-out late the next day). Fourth, the breakfast was very good (great fresh fruit), awesome courtyard, and the late night snack / honor bar were well timed for us. While the hotel itself is a bit pricey - it proved worth the value for us.

The Hotel Loreto was perfect. We only had 24 hours in Santiago (long layover), but wanted to get out and see the city. We arrived at midnight and the front desk staff was so welcoming...the bellhop even went out and got us four beers to drink in our room!! The hotel is modern, but classy, with big balconies in each room. The room was very quite; with the balcony door closed you could hear a pin drop, so we got great sleep. The location is perfect for anyone that wants to see some of the city. We walked to the museums, market, plaza de arms, and the Bellavista barrio area. I'd strongly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Excellent experience -- great breakfasts included -- stayed an extra night at end of three nights on a tour. Many restaurants near the hotel. Only negative was ongoing construction in front of the hotel. Otherwise excellent hotel.

Location.
Located in Santiago (Providencia), Bellavista Home is close to Clinica Santa Maria, San Cristobal Hill, and Palacio de la Moneda. Also nearby are Santa Lucia Hill and Santiago Town Square.

Property Features.
In addition to a library and coffee/tea in the lobby, Bellavista Home features a microwave in the lobby. Wireless and wired high-speed Internet access is complimentary in public areas. For a surcharge, guests have access to a roundtrip airport shuttle (available on request). This is a smoke-free property.

Rooms open to furnished patios. The 4 guestrooms at Bellavista Home include coffee/tea makers and hair dryers. Complimentary wireless high-speed Internet access is provided. This is the kind of place I hope to find when travelling...it is in a good location (a residential part of Bellavista) but is interesting in & of itself.... The rooms are lovely and decorated with art created by the owner, a mixed media artist, and other artists he knows. The art all around made it a fun experience. The staff, Alex and Vivian, were very helpful and personable. The rooms are not serviced every day - I actually prefer this, but (from the reviews) some travelers have complained about this. Bellavista Home was within walking distance from a variety of affordable restaurants, artsy, hip entertainment, and the metro station which takes you to all points across Santiago. Bellavista is comfortable, well located and a quiet, pleasant place to stay. The proprietor was very helpful. The downside is the bathroom. When we stayed, one was out of order. This meant 4 rooms sharing one bathroom which included both the toilet and shower. Although in itself this wasn't a particular inconvenience, the lack of cleaning was. The toilet […] paper bin was not emptied often enough and the bath mat and hand towel was not changed during the 2 nights we were there. El hotel es muy acogedor. No obstante me cobraron más de lo debido. La habitación vendía a 70 USD pero me cobraron con una tasa muy alta de 500 pesos chilenos por dolar, y como mi tarjeta era en dólares me salió como a 80 USD la noche.

Bellaviste Home ligger i den utrolig koselige bydelen Bellavista. Dette var mer som å bo hos noen venner enn et hotel. Eieren, Cristian er selv kunstner og har dekorert huset med egen og venners kunst. Det er bare fem rom, og vi lager frokosten selv på det lille kjøkkenet, og deler en uteplass midt i huset med de andre gjestene og venner av Cristian […] og Johan som bor og fungerer som vert.
