      Visited in early July, looking for a single room in a conveniently located beautiful space in the area. Catriana and Andy set me up in Oystercatcher - which was spotless, decorated in clean lines and very open, private, with huge windows that opened to the morning sunrise. Don't let the "family friendly" warn you off if you're not traveling with children. This is great self-catering B&B for anyone interested in seeing the surrounding areas. You are within a healthy walk to the Indian ocean - long stretch of clean, uncrowded beach ; Knysna is 5 minutes away and Thesen Island 10; and it's an easy drive to Storms River (great hiking!) and all the towns heading to Mossel Bay. Planned to stay in Knysna during oyster festival, so glad I ended up here for the entire week - could not have been more idyllic and was affordable (especially given the amazing location and high quality). I would go out of my way to stay here again. Traveling as a solo female, I felt very safe and the owners, Catriana and Andy, were incredibly helpful, professional, with a great sense of humor. Thank you both so much for helping make my stay so comfortable and welcoming!

      For the price, this is a great little guesthouse. The proprietor was friendly, knowledgeable and a good cook! The room was simple but clean and had a lovely view of the bay. I would not hesitate to return.
