Dorion Hotel - Mikonos Town

Beautiful hotel overlooking Ornos Beach. Easy walk to the beach. The beds were a bit hard for our liking but the room was nice. Everyone was very nice and helpful and the breakfast buffet was the best we had.

The breakfast offered every morning was amazing. There was a wide choice of delicious Greek sweets, a wide selection of fruits & cereals, omelettes & quiches, walnuts & the most delicious Greek yoghurt as well as waffles & crepes. Best breakfast we have ever had & we have stayed in over 10 hotels since our trip began in August

The location was very good, nice views. The staff was really friendly and helpful throught out our stay. I really enjoyed the outside space of the hotel but thought the room was very different from the pictures a little on the shabby side without the chik.

We were looking for a quiet, comfortable hotel in a good location so decided to give the Dorion a try. I really do not think we could have made a better choice! The hotel is situated in a quiet location on a hill site about 200 meters from Ornos beach. Access to the beach and its restaurants is via a pathway, about 50 meters of which is unlit so take […] a torch for night time. The buildings are in the same style as surrounding housing, and being just 2 storeys means the hotel is not out of place. The rooms are clean, comfortable and well kitted out (TV, DVDs, Music Centre and AC). All of them seem to feature great views out over Ornos beach and harbour. There is one large pool and 4 smaller plunge pools, all of which are quiet and have very comfortable recliners for the guests. Despite the feel of it being a 'boutique' hotel, the place is really freindly. The staff could not be more helpful, such as helping me get hold of a cake and flowers for the room on my wife's birthday. Because it is quite a small hotel the atmosphere is very informal and you are made to feel very at home. There is even a hotel dog (a cute little King Charles spaniel called Emma) who is keen to share the sunbeds with you if you let her! Last but not least is the breakfast. We included this in package and I am so pleased we did. There is a huge buffet choice including cereals, ham, cheese, fresh fruit, bread, and even do it yourself pancakes. Best of all is the selection of local cakes and pastries which tasted great but did my waist line no good at all. I have no hesitation in giving the Dorion top marks and would certainly stop there again. Read more

Hotel Dorion was by far fantastic! The service by the staff, the amenities, the pool, the buffet breakfast and my room were all fabulous! The only downfall was the small path I had tonwalk down to get to Ornos.. The path is great and convenient, however at night, by yourself it was a little scary.. Siamo una giovane coppia e abbiamo trascorso 5 notti presso questo hotel i primi di settembre 2012. L'hotel è a pochi minuti a piedi dalle spiagge di Ornos e ha una bella vista sul mare ma la sua posizione in collina fa si che si senta molto il vento, tipico dell'isola, per questo motivo non abbiamo potuto utilizzare le piscine. Le camere sono pulite, […] hanno frigo bar, tv, cassaforte, asciugacapelli e accappatoi nel bagno. Noi avevamo chiesto una camera matrimoniale e ci sono stati dati due materassi singoli messi attaccati, cosa abbastanza scomoda per dormire. Altra nota negativa, siamo andati a chiedere il tappo della vasca per fare il bagno e non ci è stato dato dicendoci che avremmo potuto sprecare troppa acqua... Qui su Expedia c'è chiaramente scritto che l'hotel offre wifi gratuito in tutte le camere, mentre abbiamo dovuto pagare 10 euro aggiuntivi per avere la password, inoltre internet funzionava male perchè la nostra stanza era lontana dalla reception e quindi dal router. Nella stanza c'erano due bicchieri, ma dopo una delle pulizie giornaliere sono stati tolti e non più messi, mentre nel bagno non è stato rimesso lo shampoo. Il personale è comunque stato cordiale, anche se non è stato in grado di indicarci quali autobus avremmo potuto prendere per avvicinarci all'aeroporto e quindi abbiamo dovuto pensarci da soli ( da Ornos si può prendere il bus per Mykonos città e da li quello per paradise, c'è una fermata a 500 metri dall'aeroporto) Read more

Mykonos es un sitio fantástico. El hotel está bien comunicado con Chora (Mykonos Town) a través de bus. Las instalaciones están bastante bien, y en lugar de ser un edificio alto es un pequeño complejo de blooques a 2 alturas que suelen rodear una piscina. De service van dit hotel is prima. Het ontbijt is uitgebreid en lekker. De kamers zijn schoon, maar simpel en het bed is heel hard. De meeste kamers hebben wel mooi uitzicht over de baai van Ornos. De ligging, 5 minuten lopen van het Ornos strand, is niet verkeerd. Naar Mikonos stad kun je de bus nemen, maar eigen vervoer is handiger.
