This place is in need of serious upgrades or just shut it down. I circled the block a couple times thinking I had the wrong address and then kicking my self for paying how much I did for a room at this dump. If I had paid less than Fifty for it, I would have gotten my money's worth, but it isn't worth a penny more than that.

The beds squeaked so badly you did not want to move to get comfortable. The TV was blurry and very small, their wifi signal very poor. The bathroom was so small you felt you were in a thin hole. They charge you $10 + Tax per visitor and they call your room to ask for their money upfront prior to your guest passing for a visit. I didn't expect too much from the hotel. It had some perks. The location was really nice because its near a lot of shopping areas and restaurants. However, the neighborhood itself looks poor and a bit scary. If i was by myself i wouldn't have walked out of the motel by myself. The service people were nice but one thing i hated was that in order to get […] to my room i had to walk thru the main office and across the building. I am someone who like to park my car near my window in case someone tries to break into it but if someone did, i would have to run across the building, thru the main office, and then all the way to the back of the building to get to my car. Beyond inconvenient, even for just going shopping it sucks carrying all my bags back and forth across the motel just to get from my car to the room. The room itself was bare bones. A squeaky bed, bars on the windows. It did have a tiny fridge which was convenient but tv had no channels other than local news. Plus i could hear the upstairs stomping on the ceiling and you could hear thru the walls so its hard to get a good night sleep. Overall i wouldn't stay there again. Read more

My daughter and I stayed 2 nights in LA and after seeing the reviews on TripAdvisor we decided to try it. The front desk people were really kind and helpful and the location couldn't have been better. Right next door to a small shopping area with a grocery store, several small eateries and clothing store. The pool area and hot tub are run down as well. I was very comfortable.It is a small hotel (very small bathroom). Very clean, very helpful staff. Starbucks on the corner -I had my coffee by the pool in sunlight and shared it with no one else. There are laundry facilities which was great as I had just driven across country.

The room was TINY! But it had a King sized bed, a shower, and a mini fridge. It's a cool little spot to get ready to go out. This was a good stay. The location was convenient to various visits and hikes, and with the metro right across the street I could go anywhere easily. Its an old hotel, but if you are coming to Hollywood to see the sites and not to hang out in your hotel, this is the place for you. I felt safe walking around the neighborhood at all times, was able to walk to breakfast locations and bars, Griffith Park, and other sites. Went their not expecting very much from the reviews I read, but needed a cheap room for a last minute stay after my car was having problems. I had stayed the night before at a high end hotel right in the middle of the Hollywood blvd. However; the first thing I noticed was the location, right next door to a shopping center with a bank, a grocery store, […] and plenty more. Then their was the customer service. While he was getting the room ready he was keeping a conversation going with me which was nice. There was free parking, the room was cozy and smelled very clean and fresh, and it was very clean. Bathroom was small enough that you could sit on the toilet and lean forward a few inches and have your head over the sink, which could be useful if you are partying in Hollywood. Beds were clean and comfortable and the TV was a flat screen mounted to the wall. Guests are not allowed after 12am which was nice as it kept the motel quiet so we could sleep sound. There are much better quality motels/hotels for the price. The place is VERY old and in desperate need of improvements. To charge people the going rate for a small cramped room, a small bathroom, a bed with no headboard is totally outrageous. Futhermore, the management keeps a very strict policy with respect to visitors, which is quite annoying and […] restrictive. They make all visitors register at the front desk before certain times or else they will charge you for each visitor that visits you between 12-8AM. I was there for 2 nights in Dec 2012. The hotel was easily accessible by subway (just right across the street) and 2 stops away from the Walk of Fame.
