"Awesome terrace for sunrise"
Stayed in a private room which was a cave room, clean and comfortable. Hotel even provided slippers and toiletries. The private bathroom is a massive upgrade from the dorm bathrooms which really need some work! Great buffet breakfasts which you can eat out on the terrace by the pool. The terrace was a great place for watching the balloons at sunrise. […] Wifi doesn't work very well in the cave rooms. Hotel is an easy walk to town centre and bus station and people of Cappadocia are very friendly. Do the Ihlara Valley tour!
Genuine Hotels.com guest review

We arrived late in the night and the receptionist was adorable with us. Who offered to us one better room with the same price. The rooms are great, clean and beautiful! The breakfast are really good with a lot of delicious options. We had a problem with the ballon flight, but the man of the hotel helped us. They are really great and we loved!

My wife and I stayed at Shoestring for four days and had a wonderful experience. The breakfast is great. The rooms are clean and warm. The staff made us feel welcome, helped us plan adventures, and were among the friendliest people that we have met in Turkey. I highly recommend Shoestring Cave House.
"Great cave hotel for a reasonable price"

Although this place was still a little pricey, it was the cheapest place we could find that still had lots of good reviews. We had a very positive experience there. The staff was the best part. They were extremely helpful. The breakfast was nothing too special but it was a decent Turkish hotel breakfast. The room we had was a deluxe room with three beds on the bottom floor. The room was carved right into the rock. We loved the cave atmosphere. The location of the hotel is also great and very central, although almost all the hotels in Goreme are very central. Overall, I definitely recommend this hotel.
"Amazing Place To Stay in Cappadocia"
I loved my stay here! Incredible service, makes you feel like you're at home! Incredible, ultra helpful and hospitable staff. This is a place I will send people I know and that I will return to one day! Cleanliness is too of the line!
"Quality accommodation at a shoestring budget"

A Facebook friend recommended that I stay at the Shoestring Hostel. I double-checked her recommendation on Tripadvisor. Following the very good recommendations that I read on Tripadvisor I made this place my home for three nights during my stay in Goreme. My private room was on the upper-most level of the hostel. It offered me the silence that I needed when I wanted to sleep. The room was fairly huge. My bedroom linen and bath towels were clean and fresh. My room had its own private balcony. It offered me wonderful views of hot-hair balloons taking off in the early mornings. Breakfast at the hostel is generous. On one of the mornings I ordered French toast. It came plated as a wonderful surprise. WiFi was available 24 hours. The staff are pleasant and helpful. I posted a photograph of the hostel from their website on my social media sites; my friends were impressed. They thought that I was at some really expensive high-brow hotel. I had to remind them that I was at a high quality, professionally run hostel that was priced at a real shoestring budget. I can recommend Shoestring with the same confidence that it was recommended to me.

Great decorations, very accommodating. Nestled into the fairy tale world of Cappadocia, this hotel is really cosy and easy to get to. Room was clean and spacious, and breakfast was delicious! Had one of the best showers here too.
"Book It, Just Super Cute"

Oktay, I love you for your hospitality. Thank you so much for making our stay so beautiful. Hotel Location: Stayed 7-10 Nov 2014. City Center, very near to all the restaurants, shops, many attractions even such as (Goreme Open Air Museum, Red Valley, Love Valley). Considering Cappadocia to be very quiet don’t look for a place quieter than Goreme. In Cappadocia Goreme has its own charm. It’s quiet, peaceful but not dead. Room: What can I say, I don’t really have words to express my experience staying in a cave room. OMG..!! It was super cute. Don’t complain about rooms being small Oh come on it’s a cave and it has to be small. Go and visit the underground cities and actually you will come to know what exactly living in a cave would be. Rooms are small but the beds are not. Beds are really comfortable and the room is super cute. If you are looking for a luxury better don’t stay in any of the cave hotels in Cappadocia. I have stayed in a standard room and a suite too but I loved the cute cozy standard room more. Bathroom: Super big, I really mean it. It is super BIG same size like our standard room. May be because of the concept of the cave hotel they have made the rooms smaller to get that cave feel but bathroom is super nice and clean. Shampoos, Conditioner, Body Wash provided. Every day the sweet lady will come and make your bed and clean your room. Towels changed every day without asking. You need to keep your keys at the reception and don’t worry about your personal belongings at all. Important Advice: Shut the bathroom door close to avoid the sewage smell. The smell is not too harsh but due to limited exhaust it happens don’t judge the hotel on this. Breakfast: 8am-10am - Boiled Eggs, Half fry eggs, Cheese Borek, 3 diff types of cheese, Salami, Tomatoes, Cucumber, Apples, Oranges, Grapes, Bread, Jam, Butter, Honey, Cornflakes and Cocoa Pops, Cake, Biscuits, Black and Green Olives, Big Green chilli fried which was amazing, few more things I don’t remember. Apple Tea, Tea, Coffee, milk. They also have fresh juice and omlettes but at an extra cost and its reasonable. Tours: Book your balloon and green tour with Oktay and get a complimentary airport transfer, trust me I have almost checked with all the possible travel agents the tour rates and Oktay gives the best rate. Hire a scooter and enjoy Goreme on your own its beautiful Oktay will help you to hire the scooter with the best price. The staff here are awesome and give you a feeling of a homestay. Any info required just talk to Oktay. Don’t search any other hotel in Goreme, Just book this. They changed money at a very good rate. THANK YOU SO MUCH OKTAY AND TEAM FOR OUR WONDERFUL STAY AT SHOESTRING CAVE HOTEL. A VERY HAPPY GUEST.
"Great place to relax"

Correspondence with hotel prior helped us with ground transportation from the airport. Loved our room. Variety of subtle amenities. Trip to Cappadocia included expanding my experience as a professional fine artist, as well as just taking it all in, and this was a wonderful place to relax in the midst of a trip with a packed schedule for exploring area sites and truly inspiring landscape. Hotel staff graciously provided any information we needed when we were there. They appear to be equipped for full-service travel info.
"Nice place with good breakfast :)"

It was a real pleasure for us to be there. Good and tasty breakfast, clean rooms with nice bathroom, close to the bus station and centre of the village Fine place to stay for a couple of days. I hope we will come back in future :)
"Beautiful views in a lovely location"
11/11/14 danaj510 Oakland, California
Although the rooms were small-a bit like staying in a Hobbit House, the location and views form this hotel were outstanding. Watching the balloons fly over the city in the morning from the roof of the hotel was absolutely amazing. I loved sitting out by their rooftop pool. However, the pool was quite cold even though it was really hot out. I was the only one brave enough to swim in it. The breakfast was adequate, nothing special was served. The service was great, lots of helpful people to recommend restaurants and take time to talk with you. For the price this was a good deal.
