Finding hotel was a snap then the parking garage was a special treat...didn't expect that. Staff spoke English well and helped us settle in nicely. We enjoyed our two night stay with teen age son - our room was quite large by European standards. Breakfast was also quite nice with attentive staff.

We liked the location, restaurants, bars all walking distance. The hotel has a paid parking garage attached, around 15 Euros. check in person was not having a good day, but overall, for the price, it was just fine.

Situated in Zaragoza, Exe Alfonso is close to Pablo Gargallo Museum, Plaza de Espana, and Basilica de Nuestra Senora del Pilar. Also nearby are Plaza del Pilar and Zaragoza Museum.

chic, tastelful decor, with high end bath fixtures. very helpful staff. indoor pool was not open for guests at the time of my stay (june 2012), but the... rooftop pool was open and quite lovely. hotel is very clean and feels very new- apparently,part of some chain of hotels called "exe.". it's placed well on two private streets, one a main thoroughfare (closed temporarily perhaps to make way for so above-ground rail? not sure) and the other, side street, alfonso is a retail street that closes up around 8p, but where can be found some late-night tapas cafes as well. there was a little loud, drunken rowdiness on the street, but that could've been from a soccer match played that evening, though it did happen the next night as well. not the hotel's fault. and nothing to deter me from booking at the hotel alfonso again. Excellent hotel in the heart of a lovely city. My ( new) satnav struggled. If you are driving, ring for the name of there car park. Then you care opposite! I was on business but managed a swim in the basement, and an hours secluded sun bathe on the roof terrace. The roof pool was closed during my visit. ( early April).

This is a great design hotel, just two years old with superb design features and a beautiful roof top swimming pool - which if visiting Zaragoza like us in mid summer heat, is an essential!
