"Chosen for proximity to NYE Party"
The hotel was nice, the lobby and bar/restraunt were modern and upscale. The room was a bit small but the price was reasonable. The bathroom had an odd smell that was annoying but on a one night stay it wasn't a deal breaker. Parking is very close, and they validate so that you only pay 8 pounds a night instead of 24. All-in-all a good place to stay […] for us because it was a 2 min walk from the NYE party we attended that was awesome. And I slept like a champ, but anyone would after a bottle of Jack :) Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Hotel and in the Hub of the City!"
I grew up in Leicester, but have lived in the USA for 14 yrs where everything is much larger. I chose this Hotel for a 3 night stay while visiting family, after taking my Fiancee to London and Paris during the previous 8 days. Compared to London and Paris 4 star rated Hotels, this was more modern, larger, cleaner and comfortable and we were both so […] thoroughly relieved to finally have space, comfort and great service. Regarding parking a car, I would ask to use one of the few spaces that the Hotel has beneath in their basement, if any are available. The city car park, close by, was very expensive at 18.50 pounds per night! I would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone looking to stay over in Leicester! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Modern hotel, great location"
This is a very modern hotel, very comfortable room, free internet. Only about four blocks from the train station, and about six blocks from the bus station. Right near the center of the main shopping area, which is great! Would definitely recommend.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Okay place, great location"
Everything is in very good condition--hotel moved to this new location fairly recently, I was told. However, the amenities were a little lacking. No carpeting, no storage cabinet or chest, no easy place to put your luggage, no shelf in the shower stall to store items. If you can easily do without these, the place was just fine. The location is great: […] close to the train station and the bus station, and close to the central shopping area. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good value for money"
Good value for money. Nice sized room with good facilities. Staff generally friendly but could have been more helpful. Parking is too fat away from hotel and no porters for luggage. Good level of cleanliness.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Perfect for Leicester City Stadium and later on, food an drink.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Lovely clean hotel. Little bit hard to find if using Sat Nav as it is close to centre and bus lane routes only, however once got there, everything was great. Very clean and comfortable. If using the local NCP car park, the charge is £20 for 24 hours, however you can get your ticket validated at the hotel and get discounted rate of £8.00.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The Ramada Encore offered a comfortable room, albeit that all rooms have a shower rather than a bath, with efficient temperature control switch and excellent free wifi throughout the hotel. Book breakfast the night before to receive a reduced rate of £10 compared to the standard price of £11.95. The hotel is situated within easy walking distance of […] the railway station and both bus stations as well as being close to the major shopping areas. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great stay, overall will stay there again"
Started off a little poor, not much customer service from the gentleman behind the counter but when he handed me over to the polite young woman, she was very helpful. Room was great, comfortable and spacious for the budget. Very useful. Convenient due to travelling around the city centre. Breakfast in the morning was brilliant, set me for the day, as […] did the great night's sleep I got. With the window open, the streets were loud but once the window closed, not a peep. "Modern and clean"
I like the 'no carpet' in the bedroom - it feels a lot cleaner that way. Lovely walk in shower - nice and big. Comfy bed. Good sized room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Poor service - nice rooms"
booked for 2 days, was quite excited for our stay and our room was lovely with comfortable beds. I did however feel let down by the service. staff were generally indifferent to us and did not acknowledge me waiting at the desk for a long time. was given only one key. the key didn't work on the 2nd day and reception lady didn't even apologise. asked […] for a towel that took over half hour. interlocking door was left unlocked and if not checked by chance, it would have stayed open and unlocked! kids being rowdy in the corridor and kept knocking on our door and running away. housekeeping refused to come back to clean our room in 15 mins as we were getting ready to leave... unsure why they left our room to last as it was second on corridor and they had done the others ages ago! hotel offer discounted car parking at the NCP across the road but must pay each time you exit, can get expensive. street parking is close but not many and 2 hour limit. room has hairdryer, towels, shower/hair gel and soap no hand cream. bars/restaurants close by and hotel bar quite lively - stayed Fri and Sat. sorry for negative feedback, I usually try to be positive but I have experienced so much better in cheaper and smaller hotels. the rooms are lovely though with windows that open which can be rare these days :-) Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location :)"
Room was clean & nicely decorated. Great location for town centre shopping and bars. Staff were nice, if only there had been more of them as they were a bit thin on the ground.would definitely stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great location but a little unclean"
The location was very central and the staff are friendly. I stayed here back in September 2013 and then again in January 2014. The hotel back in September had only been open a month or so. It was naturally in perfect condition. However, with the January visit and now this recent one in June 2014, things were looking shabby. The room had fluff and hair […] on the floor and in the corners. The lamp on the bed was broken. The toilet smelt a little damp. In addition, the breakfast area had unclean carpets (food on them). A shame since this is a great place but the management need to ensure that the whole hotel is maintained. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Central location, great value if not driving"
Everything is as expected. Great staff, clean and comfortable room although no view in our room, overlooking a wall. Location is great. If driving, be aware pay parking is available at discounted price in nearby public multi-level car park if ticket is validated at reception. Wifi signal is strong on the 2nd floor. Check-in and check-out was hassle-free. […] Beds are comfortable. Pillows are soft and towels are clean. Room temperature can be adjusted to your liking. Worth your money but do factor in the pay parking which currently costs £8 per 24 hours. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very convenient if you are visiting the Curve"
Ask for a quiet room! The higher floor the better.I had room 514 and it was ideal. There were big roadworks on the Main Street outside and at 8am Sunday morning they were drilling like crazy so I'm glad I had the quiet room.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Business hotel - not for families"
Great location. Hotel is very basic and good for business travellers however I wouldn't want to stay with the family.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel shame about the noice"
To much external noice from tragic and people screaming and shouting until the early hours.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good for the price"
Great hotel in all aspects. Only downside is no proper hotel car park. Nearby NCP is pricey. The hotel cap the car park charge down to £8 (which is good for overnight) but not good when coming in and out a few times in the day as the parking charges add up! But once again, worth the price and rooms are nice and fresh.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Perfect get away location was great walking distance to all amenities fantastic cocktail bar just around the corner. Well worth the moneyGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Could be worse"
Good location, central and easy to walk to from the train station. I chose to eat in the hotel and ordered a burger without onions. Unfortunately the chef sent out onion rings with the order as he thought that I didn't mean no onions at all. The burger was raw inside and I sent it back asking for it to be well done, after I had to send it back a second […] time for the same reason, I gave up. The waitress was fantastic, very apologetic and didn't charge me for the chips I ate - thankfully! It was a shame they didn't offer an alternative at no extra cost. The rooms are clean and well kept but not great if you are a light sleeper. The first room I had when I arrived was an accessible room - which I didn't need - and was on the corner of the hotel, next to a main road and above the hotel bar. I couldn't sleep as it was so loud so asked to be moved which I was promptly - the staff were fantastic. I was given an "inside" room which faceed the back of the hotel. This was much better but I was still woken at 1am by someone shouting outside - take your earplugs! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Was not impressed"
I have stayed in Ramada hotels before and never have I received the standards I met in this room. There were dirty marks all down the shower glass in the bathroom aswell as water marks around the sink. The toilet seat had a chip in it. There was dirty marks on the bed side tables, similar to to that of tea or coffee spills. Two lamps in the room did […] not work and sheet was inside out on the bed. I had wrote all of this on a piece of paper and left it visible in the room. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Was good for a night"
Could have been cleaner eg around plug hole, and we both didn't sleep well in the bed and room wasnt sound proof enough not like another chain. But suppose that's why it's pretty well priced.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
A basic hotel in a good situation for the mainline rail station and city-center shops and eateries. The room was adequate for two seniors such as ourselves, and the wet-room/ washbasin/loo facilities were a nice change from some of the 'shower-in-the- bath' hotels that we have experienced in the past. Breakfast was a haphazard affair- poor service in […] clearing tables on the first day, and no fresh fruit or pastries left by the time we got there at 8.30. The next morning was a bit better, and we felt that we had better value for the £10 each that we were charged. We would stay there again, but probably find breakfast somewhere else. Wooden flooring was dirty and the bed had wheels so it kept moving forward. The tv connection was bad. The service from the staff wasn't that great as the food took along time to arrive and the waiter just took our food away without asking how it was. I have stayd here twice and on both occassions it has been great. The staff are very nice and helpfull and the rooms are clean and comfortable. "If you are coming and going then care expensive."
This is a venue for party goes, hen groups etc... Leicester's nightlife is on the doorstep and on the streets till the early hours... so for those that like to party and shop excellent. In which cade great value. Could improve by putting more teabags that don't burst open in the room and removing the dust from under the bed... had fun sneezing. Room […] can take a while to warm up. "City centre hotel."
Very noisy people in next room who woke us up at 3am. Poor sound proofing. City centre location OK, but again noisy at night. Shockingly expensive breakfast was not good value, but obviously the downside of a cheap hotel. Would NOT recommend.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Ramada Encore Leicester Dear Guest Thank you for your recent review of our Hotel. I was sorry to learn that you did not enjoy your expereince and woudl not return. Unfortunately, the Hotel cannot control the noise levels from people in the City Streets , although there are areas of the Hotel where this may be less of an issue. Our breakfast Price is £12.95 for full English and Continental Breakfast, which is very competative. However, when bought as part of your room rate package, it is greatly reduced. I do hope that you will perhaps return in teh very near future . Sincerely Henrik Jespersen

"City Centre Hotel"
I stayed here as I am studying distance at De Montfort Uni. I have stayed twice before during the week and come back as during the week its quiet and the rooms have a good desk and all facilities are great. Staff are really nice and friendly. This was the first time i had stayed over a weekend. It was very noisy in the street but there is a bistro live […] just down from the hotel that was very noisy and music played until 1am and I could hear it word for word in my room which wasn't good when I had an early start the next morning. I would stay during the week and if I stayed at a weekend I would ask for a room at the back of the hotel as its not their fault the street noise is there. Overall I would recommend it but just at a weekend as for a room at the back. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Fantastic rooms and right in the centre of town"
I believe this hotel was opened only last year (2012), so it's nice and fresh and modern. The room was relatively bright and airy and comfortable to be in whether you're just there to sleep or spending a whole day in. There was a good-sized TV, a comfy sofa, a swivel chair, a desk and, best of all, properly effective air conditioning. The main problem […] I had was with the bed linen. The pillowcases in particular had some very unpleasant marks on them. We came back one day to find that one of the pillowcases we'd been given had a huge brown mark across the edge. We placed it outside our room to indicate we did not want it but the housekeeping staff merely put it back on the bed the next day. In addition to that that day, the toilet had not been cleaned and rubbish was left in the bathroom. I wrote a note to the housekeeping staff the following day and was pleased to find my requests were then met. The only other downside of our stay here was our experience in the restaurant, as the staff were not very attentive and by the time I decided I ought to bring their attention us, they told us it was then too late to order the desserts we were hoping for. However, we were pleased with this hotel overall and would recommend it. We may even go back ourselves. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
