We thought a local motel in a small town would be in good condition, but we were wrong. The room was using a plug in air freshener, and it was overpowering as you walked in the door. I gave my son a shower in the tub, but it wasn't draining well. So by the time he was done the water was 4" high in the tub. The room was cool but humid. There was water […] on the floor behind the toilet, but couldn't tell where it was coming from. The room didn't have a fridge or microwave as advertised. It was fairly clean, but old. We were encouraged to stay here from a review on Hotels.com. Boy were we disappointed. The room smelled really bad when we steped in. We left the door open to air it out a bit. It was late so we "gutted it out". The remote control didn't work at all. The beds were like cardboard and the worst was the plumbing. The tub didn't drain properly and when […] you ran the water in the shower it burped up in the sink with a fowl sewer smell. There was no coffee left in the room for the pot and only one small plastic cup for water. Should have been a $25 room at most. Read more

The motel is very outdated, kind of run-down. The seedy looking couch and a few extra pieces of furniture stored in the wide hallway outside our room was unpleasant to see. Our room was in the corner of the L-shaped motel and small for 2 people. Though we had booked the room for 2 people we had just one washcloth and one very scratchy towel. Too late […] and too tired to go back to the office for more linens. All rooms were supposed to have microwaves and fridges. We had no microwave so could not prepare our breakfast. On the good side, the room was clean and the bed had a firm mattress, clean linens, and a new bedspread. At least it was a place to sleep and clean up after a long day of driving, but I would never stay there again. Read more

Staff was very helpful, recomending a restarant and they were extremely friendly. I stayed one night on my way to S.Dakota, I walked around the the town and encontered a very friendly public. If I were to pass this way again I would not hesitate to stop in again.
