Lovely small hotel with interesting rooms. Staff very helpful and breakfast was plentiful. Well placed for walking into the town in the evening for dinner etc. Downside for us was very limited space for clothes/bags etc in the rooms. I understand being charged for treatments in the spa but felt that being charged to use the sauna/steam room after a […] swim in the spa pool was a little too much! We stayed at the Anatolian houses for 2 nights and had a great stay. The hotel suites were beautifully decorated & it was so nice to be able to stay in a cave! The hotel staff were fantastic, and happy to help with anything we needed. Definitely recommended!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Prettig en sfeervol hotel"
Mooi hotel, sfeervolle kamers.

Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Genuine Expedia guest review
Genuine Expedia guest review
初めての洞窟ホテルでの滞在でしたが、とても素敵で、蛇口からワインがでたり、なかなか楽しかったです。スパもプールがあったり、とてもよかったです。Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The hotel is really built inside the caves or what called the fairy chemnies. I am staying in the presidential suite which is a 2 floors suite with a Jacuzzi. The hotel has no AC as it is in a protected area so as per the manager they cannot put an AC. Also the hotel has no left. If you are visiting Cappadocia or even Turkey in general this place is a must see and this hotel is a must stay. The experience you will have here is really unique as if is simply living is a style that is fitting this area (living in caves on the mountains). You should not expect a luxurious place in the modern term but a luxurious as of ancient times. The breakfast is not great but accepted. The area around this hotel is so great. You can find restaurants (locals only) and groceries as well. You can also book your tours in one of the available tourism offices down the hill or even just reach to the near vallays walking. The open air museum is 1.3 KM away only. Hourse rides, 4 weel/ scooters and car rental are also available in the down hill area. I will definitely recommend this hotel and this area for my friends and family and even I will come back in near future!

Truly great hotel. Rooms gorgeous, large, clean welldesigned, a pleasure to the eye. Breakfast was excellent. While we did have one minor problem, it was dealt with professionally with a sincere focus on customer service and satisfaction. Their spa is out of this world ands was wonderful after a full day of exploring this unique area!
"A truly unique experience"

Our group of 12 recently stayed here for 2 nights & our only regret was that we did not stay longer. What a quirky, unique property in an amazing geological environment. The rooms are large & rocky out crops dominate the views that are very pleasing to the eye. The breakfasts were large & sumptuous too. We would love to return at some stage.

We were fortunate to spend three days in this beautiful hotel with amazing views. Our room was an 800 year old cave that was maintained as authentic as it could yet with modern amenities and classic decor. The children loved the pool and my husband and I loved the spa. The hotel staff was amazing and went out of their way to make our stay extra special. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough! It's an experience we want to repeat!
"Atmospheric, Rather Special Hotel"

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It is ideally placed for the areas attractions, including the main must-see sight, Goreme Open Air Museum (1km). Pretty towns Urgup, Uchisar & Ortihisar are also close by. We found the area incredible. Awe inspiring landscapes at every turn. It rates as one of our best ever trips. The hotel is also stunning, carved from the rock to form a handful of unique, quirky cave rooms. The website photographs do not it justice, nor can they possibly convey the wonder of the surroundings. Our initial room on the ground floor was large but cosy with in-room jacuzzi tub, romantic canopied bed & contemporary glass bathroom. Adorned throughout with tasteful traditional detail. Just 3 piffling coat hangers though! We had been keen to sample the full cave experience & loved the room, but with virtually no natural light & just ambiently lit, we struggled to read, do make-up etc & it was also a little stuffy (no air con in the rooms). After 2 nights we switched to a king suite at a higher level. This room had 3 windows plus a charming terrace which was also handy for WIFI as connection is stumped by the thick cave walls. Plus - a full 7 hangers!. An additional bonus of a room with a view was the opportunity to watch the panoply of balloons that embellish the early morning skyline - a phenomenal sight. We booked our balloon flight through the hotel, they obtained an excellent price for us from Atmosfer Balloons, 1 of 3 companies they use. We were more than happy with everything about this firm. Reception were also helpful with restaurant & cab bookings & extremely accommodating re the room switch. We did have one sticky moment when they could not find details of the fact that we had pre-paid the accommodation several months earlier but luckily I am Queen of the print-out & was armed with mail trail & bank statement & the matter was quickly resolved. Aside from that, everything ran smoothly & worked as it should. The hotel has a tiny, very bracing outdoor pool plus a gorgeous Roman bath style indoor pool. The restaurant also offers an indoor space plus lovely outdoor terrace, & other tiers of lounge/bar seating, all with amazing outlooks. The restaurant was quiet & didn't appear to be especially highly rated locally. We enjoyed a delicious meze lunch but main dishes were very ordinary. There is also an Indian restaurant, Rasoi, which is well received on TA but the area has many enticing restaurants around & about & we did not get to try it. Service at lunch & dinner was excellent but at other times we had to hunt out a drink. Breakfast was a reasonable buffet plus egg station. Overall, the hotel is a stunner though finishes in places are a tad raw, rough, & ready, but I have found this to be the case at other high end hotels in Turkey. Whatever, for the little it lacks in polish, Anatolian Houses more than makes up for in ambience & pure mystical, magic & for sure it will remain in our memory long beyond many, many other hotels that we have visited.
"Great place to stay in Goreme"

We stayed at Anatolian Houses for 3 nights in mid August 2014. There were 4 of us, being 2 couples, me and my husband late 50's and our daughter and her partner late 20's. The rooms are very large and had everything you would need. No airconditioning, but fans and we didn't need more as being in a cave it stayed quite cool during the day although hot outside. Lots of steps but Ok if you are fit. The staff are lovely. The barman knew us and was very prompt delivering drinks to the terrace outside our room where we had a lovely view over Goreme and the sunset. Breakfast was fine and lovely to have on the terrace. The reception staff were brilliant especially when our agent had failed to organise a transfer to Kayseri. They fixed it up, simply brilliant. very friendly , very hospitable, what more do you want. The pool is small but very cold. It was 38 degrees and after our walks , simply magic. Free wifi in the outside areas as service didn't go into the caves.I would definitely stay at Anatolian Houses again.

"Full of character, definitely recommend it"
We were fortunate enough to be in a King triple suite which had a sort of mezzanine with two single beds above the bathroom. Our son slept here. Master bedroom had a raised circular bed and a jacuzzi bath in it! Bathroom had a double shower and sink unit. Note there is NO air conditioning, that may be an issue for some but we were comfy in August with windows open at night. Breakfast wasn't very exciting but there is an omelette station and a Nespresso machine somewhere! Staff were generally very friendly and obliging. There is an Indian restaurant on site which has just opened and they are very proud of. My wife and I had a Turrkish bath. Contrary to a recent review we thoroughly enjoyed this and thought the therapists were great. Only negative point was that during the massage stage we were only separated from the pool area by thick curtains. At the time there were children shrieking and playing with electronic gadgets at full volume which ruined the ambience. Not the fault of the hotel or therapists who seemed a bit annoyed about it also.
"Simply the best in Goreme"
I came with family to Goreme in a 2-day trip just for the hot air-balloon trip but the hospitable staff made me wish to stay longer! Sinan (Front Officer, Staff) was very professional and communicative. We got an upgraded room which was great! The location of the hotel is ideal. The spa is good and has many therapies. So is the breakfast which was included in the room price rate. Sinan coordinated the aiport-hotel-airport transportation along to the hot-air balloon trip. Although it was pouring rain all night before our trip but we enjoyed it very much. I recommend this hotel highly.
