"Nice hotel when you find it, but need more cleanin"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 18, 2013
The hotel is pretty much as shown on pictures. Large lobby, a small restaurant with books/tv etc. Free wired internet in the rooms and free wifi in the lobby. Nice personel. We ordered a traditional chinese breakfast (not on the menu) consisting of kongee, spicy pickled cucumber, bums og bread for just a few RMB/person. The room appears clean, but after a 3 night stay I found someone elses prescription drugs on the floor between the bed and the window, so the room does not seem to be very thoroughly cleaned between each visitor. The location is close to the Wangfujing Street with all its crazy food and busy life. A great hotel and I would still stay there again
"My Go To Hotel in Beijing"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 17, 2013
I always stay at Novotel Xin Qiao. With over 80 nights in the last two years I don't even consider other hotels in BJ. Great staff, perfect location, decent rates.
"Very clean hotel but far from convention center"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 15, 2013
Free Airport pick up is awesome. Everything is brand new and clean. It's located out of nowhere and somewhat far away from the convention center. A nice hotel to stay for a layover.

North Chaoyang is a center of commerce, recreation, and conventions. Home to a large number of Beijing’s foreign businesses, the district also hosts the International Convention Center, and the 12.5-square-km (8-square-mile) National Olympic Stadium and Park, which will be officially unveiled at the opening ceremony of the 2008 Olympics.

Advice for anyone who has not been to China before: Beds are always hard - that's how people like it in China Bathrooms are usually stinky - Its the current state of the nations plumbing I lived in Beijing and recently came back to visit. After staying w/friends I thought it might be nice to stay in a hotel for the rest of the trip. Having already […] stayed there in a summer's past, I decided to stay at the Courtel again, this time in the winter. Its a great place! Its across the street from the Andingmen subway and walking distance to Lama Temple, hutongs, chuanr, and even a few shops, coffee houses, bars and other expat hangouts. They do serve a "western" breakfast which is convenient (although not the tastiest) and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Bonus: working AC and heat. I love the ambiance - the courtyard rooms instead of yet another highrise is a real treat and there's always travelers from all over willing to spark friendly conversation. I believe the hotel even has tours to sign up for to the great wall, to see acrobat shows, etc. etc. etc. While it isn't the cleanest joint in town, its a lot cleaner than a lot of joints and I'd stay there again. Keep in mind you are in China. Expectations and priorities aren't always the same as what you might find elsewhere but keep in mind different isn't always bad :). PS - they have water jugs in every courtyard for drinking - very convenient since you can't drink the tap in Beijing. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Beijing Courtel hotel"
Does not live up to the photos on the website. The smell from the bathroom drain pervaded the whole room and the place really needs some maintainance TLC. Nevertheless, it was quite cosy, the informal area was comfortable and documents forwarded to me were kept safely. Taxis were unable to get directly to the hotel as it is up a back lane, but it was […] close enough to shops, bank and small restaurants. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
